Location was good. Far away from the maddening crowd but near enough to nice chic shops.
Very warm and prompt service from the staff whether its arranging for the shuttle bus or a day tour guide.
Breakfast quality may be improved.
A lovely place for a quiet getaway. We were pleased to be welcomed from the airport upon arrival despite taking an hour to clear the customs. driver was informative on our way back to the hotel and gave us tips on where to go and what to do. We subsequently booked a day tour through the hotel the next morning. The arranged guide was knowledgable and fluent in english throughout our tour around the city. Overall we had a very pleasant experience with the hotel staff and their service. Rooms were great too. Our only gripe was the breakfast spread and quality.

I had the three bedroom for one day before i was checked into the two bedroom villa and i have to say the two bedroom is way better than the three bedroom in terms of the layout of the villa. The three bedroom is too open and you just feel the heat throughout the day.
The staff are very helpful and for the price, this is quite value for money, considering its location in semiyak.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa (2 couples) it was perfect and we will stay only at the Desamuda from now on. Its location was great for us close to everything in seminyak except for the beach but we were not looking for that. The staff were excellent and very helpfull. They had a free shuttle service to surrounding areas. The beds were very comfortable that outdoor showers were great and the food was excellent. Its villa's are not impecably clean but clean enough and nothing to complaint about in fact after the Desamuda we went to Ubud and that Hotel (5star)was about the same. This hotel is perfect for those who want to relax but be able to walk out of the hotel and be right in the thick of it. It's like an oasis in the middle of choas and the gardens are just beautifulwe cant wait to go back!!
Its old bali style was exactly what we were looking for.
Restaurant Tip : absolutly must have dinner at the hotel and try the tapas style dinner(Indonesian), but you need to let them know in advance.

We had checked in early and were 'upgraded' from a one bedroom to a three bedroom villa, which essentially just meant that we had use of the three bedroom villa with two bedrooms locked up. The living and dining room of the villa has a open concept and faces thee private pool. There was no air conditioning except in the bedroom. The heat was so bad during the day that we didnt utilise the living room at all.

Beautiful Gardens
Nice pool areas
Private villas
Location
Lack of sunbeds around pool
Variety at breakfast
What a hidden treasure. Just off the boutique strip of Seminyak is a lush little village. We stayed in a two bedroom villa. Perfect for either one or two couples. Nice little plunge pool which was colder then main pools so nice after shopping! Lovely gardens and beautiful lighting at night. We stayed at 4 different hotels on our stay and this was my favourite, although staying in a villa is a little different to a hotel room. If you like a bit of space and be able to sunbath and swim in private this is perfect. Will stay again.
Restaurant Tip : The best resturants are a short walk, Rumours, Ultimo etc. Ku Da Ta or Gado Gado is you want a special night out. Next street over has all the bars. This part of Seminyak has all the funky boutiques, great if you love shopping.

convenient location
peaceful ambiance
great staff
We really enjoyed the 3 bedroom pool villa. The location was great - very convenient to grab a taxi and go shoppong. They also provide free shuttle service to/from airport and to the beaches. The staffs were great, too. We will definitely come back. thanks.

Good location, large communal pool
Cramped rooms, very steep stairs
We stayed here for three nights in September. It's located in a good part of Seminyak - quiet, but near good shopping & eating. My main issue was that the villas had very small rooms & so felt quite claustrophobic. Also, the second bedroom was upstairs & had the steepest flight of stairs - a ladder really - quite dangerous for kids. Probably won't stay here again.

Dont have anything negative to say. We had a wonderful stay
This hotel was amazing, it was so very quiet and sometimes it felt you were the only guests there!
So cose to all Seminyak has to offer including cute boutique stores for the shoppers!

Great private pool, awesome location, lovely outdoor shower.
villa next to walkway and communal pool, so prepare to get woken up by kids playing in the pool early in the morning. the breakfast buffet was ok, but could have had more selection.
overall, it was great value for money. i would stay here again as the people were very friendly, helpful, and the place was very clean, location incredibly convenient. close to all the great shopping of seminyak. the hotel provides transport to the beach, or nearby restaurants and bars. overall it's a really pleasant weekend escape.
Shopping Tip : Discovered a french designer who is based in Bali by the name of Magali Pascal. She has 2 stores in seminyak with brilliant quality and very trendy styles. the clothes are all manufactured in bali giving back to the local economy. definitely a treasure store worth visiting.

swimming pool was nice. Room was clean.
the staff need be trained.
Overall, it is a nice hotel to stay. Located on the busy street, but very quite once you get into the hotel. The swimming pool is very nice, the water is very nice too. All the shopping and dining are few mins walk. The breakfast is okay. The only probelm for me is the persons whom work at the front desk are kind slow, their english need improve. The hotel do provide stuttle to the beach.

Own plunge pool, afresco area, decent sized fridge, drinking water supplied, nice and quiet.
We absolutely loved the Desamuda Village Hotel. Our villa was beautiful, heaps of space, huge bathroom with two showers (one in and one outside), beautiful bedroom and having your own plunge pool was fantastic. The food was good, ordering from room service was cheap and good food. The breakfast was ordinary (definitely didn't like the beef bacon). All in all though, we will be going back again, it was fantastic.
Robyn from Mandurah, WA
Shopping Tip : The hotel will drop you into Kuta or Legian or Tuban for free if you ask - but they don't pick up.

Balinese style villas, nice and quiet. Great location, close to great restaurants and fantastic shopping.
Breakfast was very simple but adequate, could be improved.
We stayed in a 1 bedroom pool villa, it was clean and bed was comfortable. We could have done with another chair to sit on as lounge was very small for 2 people. We found the staff very friendly and helpful and it was great to have a driver at our doorstep. The shoping in the area was fantastic, very up market and you are not hassled by anyone like in the Kuta area. Would definately stay there again and stay in a 3 bedroom pool villa which are fantastic with our children.
Shopping Tip : Very trendy upmarket shops

Quietness, peaceful large villa
a little dated but adds to its charm
Only 2 nights, three days at Desamuda but enjoyed it very much. Large peaceful villa with a nice outdoor area and villa pool. Also two pretty pools in the complex. Attentive, helpful staff, lovely restaurant and ristafal, fruit bowl on arrival. Close to restaurants and all Seminyak has to offer, a 20 minute walk to the beach.
Loved our time there, very reasonably priced.
Restaurant Tip : MOCHA Cafe in the main street of Seminyak on your left as you come out of the villas, and the ESPACE SPA.

Room furnitures and decoration
Good location within Seminiak nearby art shops and night life
Swimming pool in villa is quite small

clean, private,comfortable,nice service, reasonable food
1 bedroom villa living room, needs to be improve in the deco side, lounge room needs more comfortable furniture.
min. 50 words We spend 5 nights in the 1 bedroom villa with pool and over all we had an enjoyable time there. The hotel is small and private, surrounded by beautiful gardens. The rooms are clean and spacious.Nice bedroom with comfortable bed, the bathroom is big and nicely appointed. The only weak point is the living room, pretty basic decoration and the lounge needs to be a bit more comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful.Breakfast is reasonably good and the restaurant food is quite nice, especially they traditional balinese set menu served in the evening in the garden around the pool which is very idyllic! The location of the hotel is perfect, in the middle of seminyak, close to the shops, cafes and restaurants.
