This hotel is consistently good and the theme dinners are very good and food is of a high standard. Rooms are quite nice and are well maintained. This hotel has the best breakfast in Bali. I have stayed at other hotels in Bali but keep returning to this one. Great shopping centre next door and it has massages available in the huts that are reasonably priced. Has mini marts across the road that are open 24/7 and also this hotel offers free wireless Internet.
Restaurant Tip:
Seafood theme dinner very good and reasonably priced

Kartika Plaza Hotel Has it all!!

Kartika Plaza Hotel is an excellent hotel, Very Close to major shopping yet not in the middle of busy Kuta. We found the staff to all be very friendy and helpfull. Kartika is quite a big hotel with a range of services on offer we even used the gym during our stay.
This was my 7th trip to Bali and my first stay at Kartika Plaza - will def stay there again!
Shopping Tip:
The authorized money changer in Discovery Plaza Mall ground floor gives excellent Rates...better than the hotel and some street vendors!

I like to stay in this hotel because it's near to kuta center and if you drive car your self it's easy to find alternative road to go out from kuta area.
and many playground for children.

I enjoyed this hotel. It is a bit off the beaten path, which I appreciated. You can walk to most of what Kuta has to offer. I liked the layout of the hotel which was U shaped around the swimming pool with views out to the ocean. It is not a truly high end hotel, yet I rate it 4 stars on my own scale. I think it is a great hotel for the money with great food an amenities. I will go back.

Loved location, away from Kuta craziness but close enough to walk in, right on the beach, amazing pool!

During our 7 day stay we spent alot of time at the hotel, its big but not too big and has a great holiday resort vibe.
Restaurant Tip:
the japanese restaurant at the Discovery hotel was amazing and right on the beach too

worst ever experience. service was bad. room price is not worth at all. staff were so unfriendly and rude. room was not cleaned and we had to call them up to clean while we were in the room

We were disappointed that the hotel was not directly on a sandy beach. You have to walk a ways to the sandy part of the beach. This hotel is on the water but the access is over rocks from this hotel. However, we really didn't swim in the ocean afterall because the pool was very nice! It is a very impressive hotel with an amazing lobby and great staff.
Shopping Tip:
The shopping is excellent especially the costume jewellery.
