Very Family Friendly
Staff very friendly and the girls in the business centre very helpful
Everyone staff memeber was welling to help you
Breakfast very good - love the traditional dishes
If ever we go back to Bali we would stay there again
The fridge in our room was not cold and we had to kept ordering ice which melted very quickly. So we purchase ice from the mini market across the road Very clean and friendly Hotel - Had many inhouse
activities - The massage was great and very relaxing.
Shopping Tip : Don't go off with people from the market to buy items as they will steal all your money. One guy put his hand into my husband pocket - Which lead to confrontation

Staff always friendly and helpful. Food and beverages wonderful but a little over priced. Accommodation clean and comfortable. Pool Bar and pool the highlight. Lots of international guests not that social!! Find the Aussies and you'll be right. Our first trip to Bali could not have picked a better resort or location. The beach spectacular, close to everything, rooms cleaned every day, I would recommend this resort to all.
Restaurant Tip : Un's restaurant, Poppy's One ask for Sali. Frozen Margaritas are to die for!!!

Pool, facilities, restaurants. A bit of a way from the clubs; a 5 min cab ride (cabs are everywhere and cheap) gets you there. Really enjoyed the stay; couldn't ask for a better room and service; restaurants were superior at a very reasonable price. Breakfast buffet on the patio overlooking the pool and ocean was a real treat. Good business center where you can "rent" a desktop (6 or so available) or purchase a 24 hour wireless password for your laptop.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Recomend a temple or "volcanoe" tour to the interior; also Hard Rock has a resident (Spring '09) band that does super Queen and Cranberries covers; spent every late-night there.

The hotel was superb; you'll know as soon as the taxi from the airport drops you at the lobby. Rooms excellent, service better than excellent. Breakfast on the patio was worth the trip alone. Questions to the transportation desk/coordinator were difficult to relay and have answered. the Taxi drivers were much more knowledgeable on where to go. Great place to hang to enjoy the pool and beach; the beach/surf a mile north (towards the Hard Rock) seemed much more enjoyable (but I don;t do the beaches). We used the hotel as a base for traveling to the countryside - temples, the volcanoes, Barong (?) dance shows, so on.

Great Entrance, Great Pool, Great free Activities & Great Great Locations Building is slightly run down, needs to be maintained alot better. Overall we were happy with our stay with a few exceptions: Being woken everyday at 8am for housekeeping & the roof in our room leaked due to heavy rainfall. Staff very freindly and helpfull, beautiful grounds and surrounds. Nice mixture of people. Best breakfast buffet in Bali ! Location - Absolutely the best location, next door major shopping centre, down the street best reastaurants, and the beach was not even a 3 minute walk away.
Shopping Tip : Discovery Plaza has great shopping, too many shops to get through in one day !

Reception, lobby and business centre were excellent and gave a good impression on first arriving. The main entrance from the street is a bit old and needs some serious upgrading, not at all inviting.
The rooms are well appointed, LCD television, bed very comfortable, pillows also which is unusual in itself. Bathroom was basic but acceptable.
Room service was prompt, although the food was not outstanding.
Pool areas are great, lots of room for most who wanted to use it, although it was off season so hard to know what the place would be like if it was full.
Security very helpful, very polite.
Business centre was excellent, wifi in the lobby area was free with your own laptop, a little expensive if you used their computers, but they had a lot of computers for use and they were all relatively new Apples, so that was tempting, but in the end I opted for the 'free' access on my own.
Check in and check out was friendly fast and efficient. Very nice people overall. Breakfast servings were on first glance ok, but the food that was served left a lot to be desired. The omelet cook had no idea what he was doing, my wife (Indonesian) tried to explain how to cook one but he still didnt get it right, so it looked more like a canneloni than an omelet. The rest of the offerings were below what one normally expects in Bali so taht was disappointing.
The entrance from the main road is quite ugly and needs a serious upgrading.
The aircon in the room was not working very well.
Nothing else to complain about. The Kartika Plaza is very well located for all that you may want to do in Bali. It fronts the main road, right across the road from the WaterBom and right next door to the Discovery Plaza shopping mall. So you cannot beat it for convenience. Behind is the ocean and the beach, again very convenient.
The rooms were satisfactory, although we could not book the room we wanted, even though they were vacant, they could not be booked over the internet and to upgrade on check in meant booking a new room and not being able to use our origninal room
The breakfast area is very pleasant, however the food offerings for breakfast are generally below Bali standards. Not enough variety in the Indonesian foods offered and the western food was not very good either. I resorted to toast by day 4.
Room service was quick and efficient, the food itself was ok, probably rate it 3.5 out of 5, but given I usually stay at Shangrila's its a bit tough to judge them on that.
The reception and lobby area is really nice and had a great breeze so on a tremendous place to relax in the late afternoon.
Business centre and internet access was first class. Apple computers and laptops and great free wifi access in the vicinity of the business centre.
Swimming pool areas are really first class. Big pool. lots of lounges, lots of grass and direct access to the beach if you want that.
We will certainly consider staying there again.
Nightlife Tip : The Musro disco and karaoke is right next door, but walk down the road a little to the open air Melati Bar for great fun with a 3 piece group who do requests and will let you sing too if you want. Order pizza, drink Bintang, stay late and have a ball, its only 5 to 6 minute walk from the hotel

Great location, beautiful beach frontage, Centro next door. Walking distance to everything, so close to airport. Bedding overall was dated, old mattresses and old sheets was the most noticeable thing for us.
Check in procedures could be quicker and more accurate. Had to be called back down again so as they had forgotten to get imprint the 1st time. Moved us to a room with 2 single beds and then when we arrived the room didn't single beds, just a runaround upon checkin. Check out was much smoother. Brilliantly located, can't get better, few mins walk to everywhere you need to be. If you want to be close to Kuta, airport and beach, you can't get better. Great staff, rooms were clean and well maintained. Food lovely, buffet had all you want and pool food was delicious!. Make sure you investigate the cocktail party. The cocktail party is for long staying guests which stay at least 7 nights or repeat guests. Held on Monday night it's a must!! Make sure you tell reception upon checkin so that you get an invite!!
Restaurant Tip : Try Kori at Poppies Lane II it was fabulous!

ocean front room had amazing views,beautiful balcony,excellent breakfast,nice pool,good location,convenient for food and shopping housekeeping could be better we have stayed here a few times before and always liked it.Beautiful beach and ocean views and a very happy, relaxing, and comfortable atmosphere.

The hotel is located on Kuta Beach. The location is great, the hotel is beautiful!! Lots of marble and granite. The rooms are a good size for 2 people sharing. Just out the front of the hotel are restaurants and lots of shopping. Clean rooms, great food overall a very nice hotel.
No cons to speak of in regard to the hotel...just the beach. The beach is very dirty and not fit to swim in or walk on. A real shame as the surrounding are wonderful. I picked this hotel based on the reviews that I read. The hotel is great. We ate at a couple of the restaurants and the food was very good. The breakfast buffet was great as well. The service was quick and efficient. Smiles all the way around when you are in the hotel or on the street in Bali. Large rooms and great views made it a good holiday over all. The one negative was the beach. The beach is very dirty! However the pool at the hotel was clean and big and great for swimming. No real negatives on the hotel just the beach. I would come back to Bali again and stay here again just for the relaxation and the friendliness of the staff. If you are coming to Bali this hotel will meet all of your requirements.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The monkey forest was a lot of fun!

Great pool, great staff, friendly service, always happy to "bend over backwards" and help. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were gracefully greeted by friendly staff members who were well presented and mannered. The hotel over all is a great experience, being my fifth stay at the hotel it is obvious how excellent it is to me. Value for money is definitely found here, with a great location, combined with fantastic recreation and in room facilities, i will certainly be returning soon!

We love staying in the Private Garden Pool rooms as this is so convenient to access the pool. This is our 4th stay at the hotel and would not go anywhere else now to stay. It is so convenient to the shopping district and the beach is on your door step. Lovely walking track now created along the beach and great food in all the restaurants at hotel.
Hotel Feature Tip : Huge shopping centre next door with great dining and the beach is just outside your hotel room.

Breakfast was the best we have ever had at a hotel, it is close to a shopping mall and really pretty grounds We had a really lovely stay, the hotel grounds were amazing and the staff very friendly. The beach is not that inviting but the hotel pool is more than adequate. The rooms were neat tidy and clean. Breakfast was amazing, so many choices and so fresh, we looked forward to it every morning. It is a great place for couples or young families, but for singles being a bit closer to the nightlife maybe better.

Deep pool inappropriate for non-swimmer I like the most of Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel.
But the room is quite narrower than I expected.
And the pool is too deep to enjoy the play.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Dinner cruise good for fun.

free internet, excellent pool, very nice breakfast, very friendly staff overall a very nice and clean hotel with friendly staff, free wlan, and great pool. however, the hotel has its price and that is not low. so it is not a bargain. there are many other comparable hotels around but i guess they have the same price. however, the area around the hotel is very touristic. many shops, retaurants and bars. if you like that.. well. if you want a more "original" experience I would recommend a hotel in another area (maybe ubut)

Air con a little weak, although sufficient The Discovery Kartika Plaza was a decent hotel. IT had all the amenities and cleanliness of a 3-4 star hotel, although we didn't like the shower much. The breakfast was great, a lot of choice, and we even stayed at the hotel for the dinners and they were fine. They have a pool and a pool bar and the hotel links directly to the beach, which is also a good thing. You can walk across the beach to the mall, avoiding all the street traffic. All in all it was a decent hotel, probably a little expensive for its price, but I will stay there again.
