Overall not very good. The hotel is in need of renovation and a lot of TLC. Faucets are leaking in my villa with nobody really cared about them. Soap residues are on the shower wall. Breakfast is not good. Cigarette smell was in my non smoking villa maybe coming from the villa next door. It seems it was once a good hotel and it has past its glory.

Luxury home away from home, centrally located

We stayed here for three nights, booked last minute and would stay here longer if we could. The most friendliest staff I've came across, nothing is ever a problem, personalized and very attentitive. The rooms are gorgeous, private pool what a luxury, small kitchen, great wifi and tv channels, comfortable bed, great design, food was great and they come deliver and set it up in your room. It was nice for a change to have a nice table set breakfast in your villa. Great little gym with free weights, cable machine and cardio. Taxis easy to catch although some struggled to find the place so have a map ready if possible. Lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance or a quick taxi ride to surrounding areas. I was impressed from start to finish and would definitely be back! Thank you to all of the staff!!

Two-bedroom villa was huge, with sufficient outdoor area for family or small group gathering. Big, long pool. unfortunately, the pool light was down. Hotel staff was prompt in installing 2 spotlights. Hotel offers dvd + player if opt for quiet and relaxing moment. Or even setup bbq for small group.. Awesome.

Excellent hospitality. Room service came within 5 minutes. Breakfast in d room was nice, but rather average in terms of choices. Great setup. Comfortable bed. The pool was very small for one bedroom unit. My driver had difficulty finding the place for the first time, as the place was quite secluded.

The villa was nice but service wasn't great for what we paid. They didn't game much for breakfast and what i ordered they didn't have e.g i ordered banana and they didn't gave it and did not bother to go and buy. Compare with the same miney i paid for hotel in phuket this was a waste of money

Great Villa for escapades

I was looking to get away from the city life and this villa definately did it for me. From the quietness of the surroundings to the enjoyment of swimming in the private pool as and when i want to. Each staff has no qualms assisting you in anything. Everyone was friendly and greeting my friend and I by our names when we exit or enter by the main villa entrance. After checking out and settling the bill, my friend and I found ourselves short of cash at hand to pay for the airport transfer back and the money changer was quite a distant so the staff actually reopen the bill, gave us back some cash and allow us to settle some via credit card.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
have lunch at the restaurant on top of Mount Batur. the view is simply breathtaking.

This could be a 5-Star Villa

I have never stayed at a place which I liked very much and at the same time disappointed me as much as Downtown Villa. The whole complex is very well designed and is modern and sleek, which I liked very much. The villa is very spacious and the view to the garden and the 20m long pool is just amazing. You will have a sitting area with a big sofa and 2 armchairs next to the pool a seperate TV area with a big sofa. The kitchen is small but practical and, for a holiday place, well equipped. Next to the kitchen there is a big dining area. Next to the dining area you will find a guest toilet.
The 2 identical bedrooms are on the upper floor. They are very large and have a dressing area next to the bathroom which is nicely appointed.
This place really has the potential to be a 5 star villa if there weren't so many things that don't match.
When I arrived at the villa the guest toilet didn't flush and the showers didn't have hot water. The toilet was fixed in short time but for the hot water I had to wait for 12 hours. In general the maintenance is not taken care of. The showers are covered in calcium (otherwise the place is clean) and the pool walls look dirty and have rough surface from scaling. If the place wasn't built so well ( which is actually untypical for Bali villas) this place would have fallen apart already. Another big criticism is the breakfast. It's barely edible. The quality is very low and some food seems to be on the plate for at least the second time. As the butter I had, which was obviously molten and refrigerated more than once. The jam is of the lowest quality you can buy in Indonesia. So skip breakfast and have it somewhere else.
I had a very good deal and paid only USD/night (flash deal) and therefore I don't regret staying there. But if I had paid the regular rate of about USD I would have been very, very upset.
To summarize my stay, I definitely would stay there again, provided I get the discounted rate.
