The five-star Furama Villas & Spa is conveniently located just 45 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from the arts and shopping district of Ubud, with free shuttle bus service to Ubud three times a day. Each villa comes with a gazebo, and private pool. Guests can also swim in a natural spring-water lagoon. For activities, guests can take Balinese dance classes, or ride a horse cart through the rice fields. The onsite restaurant offers a beautiful view of the rice fields, and serves international cuisine with a Balinese twist. My husband and I were looking for a quiet place to spend a few days to read and sit by the pool. This place fulfilled that objective. The staff were friendly and always tried to do their best. The villa design was fantastic however each villa was placed too closely together.
We love/hate the remote location. It takes 20 minutes to get into the Ubud town center and shuttles are available every two hours. But you have to remember to book your spot or else you may be stuck at the villa paying too much for lunch or dinner. However breakfast is wonderful with many choices and eggs cooked to order. The view from the breakfast terrace is picture perfect.
It is a good to place to hid from the Bali masses. I just wish the food was more reasonably priced.
