Very attractive location and surroundings, beautiful water features, very close to the beach, great pool High standard of room Nice breakfast with sea view, good variety of food

Food expensive Not in a very homely atmosphere Not ideal for those travelling alone

The hotel was situated a good way out from seminyak, a ten min drive. Great for those wanting a very quiet hotel and area. Very close to the beach. Staff very friendly at breakfast. There are some restaurants nearby which offer better food prices. Excellent standard of room and housekeeping. Lovely pool with poolside bar overlooking beach.

THe hotel's deluxe garden room is really spacious, bathroom's beautiful. Close to shopping district.Nice pool.Easy to get taxi to go out.Staff's friendly.

The spa is expensive and the treatment wasn't good.

The hotels' deluxe garden room is really spacious with a day bed, and a beautiful bathroom that has separate toilet area,a tub and shower area that has a natural skylight. The hotel's also close to the shopping area in Seminyak and for those who likes clubbing can go to a few clubs called Living Room,Kudeta,Dejavu.Taxi's easy to get to go anywhere from seminyak to even Jimbaran,Uluwatu. It's also easy to find restaurants around the area. The hotel alsohas a beautiful swimming pool

Restaurant Tip : Go over to Warung Made for delicious local food like nasi campur,gado-gado.The restaurant also serves western food

Beautiful grounds, big rooms, great location, friendly and helpful staff.

Food at the only restaurant in the hotel was below average so we ate out a lot, hotel needs upgrading.

We came for a relaxing holiday and it's eactly what we had. Gardens are so mature and beautiful with ponds everywhere. The whole place is very tranquil and it was a pleasure waking up to this and the beach, tho' waves are choppy, is beautiful. Hotel structure are stones with balinese atap roofs which gives it great character. Would go back again.

Restaurant Tip : Just 5 mins by taxi (AUD$5.00), must go restaurants HU'U, METIS and LIVING ROOM.

clean, right on the beach, nice rooms, shuttle service to Kuta

apart from other restaurants, shopping etc., hotel restaurant/bar far to expensive!

The hotel is nicely set on the beach with a pool and friendly stuff. There is a shuttle droping off people in Kuta a few times a day. Not much around the hotel. Food and drinks are therefore far to expensive, so go an buy your own water and beer!! If you wanna go anywhere else for food, there are only a few places nearby. But if you wanna relax and get away from the busier parts of the beach its a good spot. Clean, big rooms, although some may need some renovation sometime.

Nice quite location on the beach. Traditional Balinese style construction and spacious room and bathroom.

Slightly run down and need to install more lights throughout the property.

Constructed in the traditional Balinese style, this charming hotel is located on the beach front and offer great value for money. We stayed 3 nights at the Garden Suite; the room was very spacious and the bathroom was almost as large as the room! However, the deco is quite dated and like many places in Bali – the lights are very dim, making the whole place quite dark and one needs to be very careful when going up and down the many steps. The buffet breakfast was pretty standard. We had lunch once at the hotel and would not recommend it to anyone. Luckily, many of the good restaurants are just a short cab ride away.

pool bar,hotel grounds,garden suite rooms,friendly hotel/bar staff,nice and quiet hotel

Front desk staff, lock out of rooms 20 minutes before checkout,a little bit far out (not a real big issue),not alot around hotel

From the first moment we arrived the hotel staff looked after us and made us feel really welcome. The first thing that we loved was the traditional Bali style of hotel and the well kept gardens. Really loved the quietness of hotel even though we were travelling for a boys weekend, knew we could relax around the pool after a big night. rooms were all we need and I was upgraded to Garden suite for the first 3 nights and ended up upgrading for the remainder of the trip. For what we were looking for I thought everything met our expectations, rooms were cleaned daily, breakfast was good without being outstanding and general hotel facilities was all ok. Only thing that spoilt the trip was the last day and basically the attitude from the front counter staff. We felt like on the last day they basically wanted us out of the hotel well before checkout to the point of locking us out of the room 30 minutes before. The only other thing that started to get a little annoying was having to catch taxis all the time, its not expesive into Kuta, but would be good to be able to walk somewhere and shop, eat etc but unfortunately not much around hotel. All in all a good hotel, would probably choose something closer next time to Legian or Kuta but really depends on what sort of holiday you are looking for.

Nice but far away... Guest Rating: 7

If you want a beach with big waves, this is it. Best breaks I saw in Bali. The hotel is right on the beach and the pool area backs on to the edge of the sand.

The only negative point was the location. It's a really long way from anything and that can be a hassle if you want to do things outside of the hotel. One taxi driver I used got lost going back there. Also, the bathroom water had a strange smell. Not a biggie because I wasn't there much.

Getting from the hotel to Kuta, Legian and Seminyak itself is a bit of a hassle. The road doesn't start running parallel with the beach until just south of the hotel. To get to Kuta, you have to head inland a fair way, then south and then you hook back over to the coast. It's actually faster to walk south along the beach for a while and then leave the beach at Legian and get transport from there.

Sea view. Great service staff. Quiet - away from the noise of the partying and clubs. Directly in front of the beach. Nice and clean rooms with internet access (chargeable by the hour).

None

The hotel is at a nice town called Seminyak, which is away from all the noise at Kuta. It is directly in front of the beach so you could have your breakfast with a nice sea view of the waves and the cool breeze. Access to the beach is as simple as walking out the side gate in the courtyard. The service staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was american breakfast and the chef makes great fluffy pancakes at the live cooking station. Rooms wise, it was great with nice clean room and toilets. We had a blackout in the area for about 5 min and when we called the reception, he was prompt and friendly in asking for our patience while the power lines were being restored. We had enough privacy for our rooms, not unlike some places where the room doors were next to each other and you could hear when your neighbour leaves or comes back. The whole place had a resort feel with a touch of luxury and yet you could also feel the warmth and coziness of the place. It was our first time there but we will definitely go back there again.

Hotel Feature Tip : Airport transfer is charged at 15 USD per car per trip.

on the beach, private and secluded, swim up bar, nice pool

away from everything, unfriendly staff at reception

Upon arrival, we were without the Agoda voucher because the system had experienced an error. The staff were very unfriendly and were not willing to help us out to investigate the problem with Agoda further. We had no choice but to pay the 50,000 for 1hr internet to obtain the voucher and then the printer had no paper. Staff was very unwilling to be helpful which was an immediate turnoff. It looks to have been a nice posh 5 star hotel at one time that needs updated and is now rundown. Public bathrooms were unkempt, business center was shabby and male staff at reception were very rude. Food was average. Breakfast buffet had sliced processed cheese which was a turn off and the honey in the packages was out of date and sour. It's ideal if you just want to relax, and stay in the resort eating all meals there. Not as many activities available, activities coordinator was very friendly which was a bonus.

Hotel Feature Tip : Bathroom was very large with a separate bathtub and shower. Taxi to anywhere was fairly cheap.

Nice rooms and bathrooms, lovely pool overlooking the ocean

A little far from town

A very lovely hotel with a fantastic pool and beautiful gardens. an excellent value for the money! The staff by the pool is great and will bring you whatever you need. The restaurant was decent. My only complaint is that you had to take a taxi to get to Seminyak, but it was very quiet at the resort with great views.

good food, very relaxed & quiet

not so clean especially water of swimming pool

The stay was nice & relaxing, close to beach, very romantic and cosy hotel. Stuff is a bit slow when u order drinks or food, breakfast has no variety but is ok in terms of quality. Rooms are nice but a bit smelly, like they haven't been used for a long time. Toilet are not getting cleaned properly and stuff ignored the "Do not disturb" shield and knocked at door.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Bungy Jumping

Quiet location on beachfront, cool breezes, fewer hawkers, good restaurant and breakfast

Expensive internet and slow

The quiet beach front location may not suit everyones taste but there are regular shuttle buses into Kuta. Food good in hotel and great breakfast location on 1st floor cool and overlooking the waves.Fantastic restaurant (Warung Sobat)400 metres . Lovely gardens interesting pool and helpful staff. Taxi back from Kuta approx rp40/50,000. Sea not suitable for swimming unless skilled.

Travel tip : Warung Sobat and Bali Zoo

The staff are friendly and helpfull, The rooms are clean and of a decent size. the swimming pool is clean and has a great suncken bar.The price of food and drinks was reasonable. The gardens are well maintained and are very beautiful. The location is good far enough away from Kuta beach..

garden layout

Old rooms, stinky toilet, old windows (won't keep cold in), shaky floor, too expensive.

We stayed for 3 nights in Bali in 3 different hotels, since this was my husband's first time to Bali. This hotel was the worst one, unfortunately the last one too. First they gave us the bungalow room, it was really old and definitely was not worth the price. The floor was very shaky when you walked on it, when you looked down at the floor, you can see lights coming through from downstairs. So we asked for a different room. We got the standard room, way better than the bungalow. But it was still old, apparently the hotel was built in 1957. They tried to mix the old and the new, they tried. The floor looked like it was put on in 1957. The toilet smelled really bad. The windows are old. They have blinds instead of curtains. Breakfast was disappointing. They had fried rice and other stuff. Fried rice was really bland, I mean how could an Indonesian hotel mess up fried rice?? When I asked for omelette, they burnt it. Definitely will not stay here again. This is a motel at best.

i liked staying right on the beach and hearing the waves from my room! and oh what a view, and the sunsets are breathtaking.

a ways away from the main part of town, but nice warongs on either side and different hotels/clubs for a change up also.

i really enjoyed staying here. wish i would have had more time for it! they have a nice pool with a swim up bar & happy hour! the food is good and the breakfast buffet was very nice. do take your voucher with you or things can get a little hectic, althought they do have $5 internet cards available in a nice air condtioned room. we had been in a suite the night before and decided to stay again so we booked another nite planning on moving to a regular room, and they upgraded us! that was quite nice!!!

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : my sister did walk down the street from the hotel and found a great massage for $7!!
