The best features of this hotel would be the location. Your a 5 minute walk to the beaches, art markets and Kuta square. I was in a standard room but it was fine. Had A/C and a bed, what else could you ask for?
The staff members in this hotel lack customer service. The drinks are ALWAYS hot and way overpriced (need a new fridge) and the pool is hot too, with next to no shade around it but like I said, its cheap and you can't expect a palace.
I would stay at The Ida Hotel again because of the location and price, however, if you want to be pampered and enjoy a cold drink, I suggest staying somewhere else. The hotel is very traditional and old but does the job! You can walk five minutes and be at the beach and watch those awesome sunsets. The food at the hotel is average too, however, none of us got sick from eating there. Overall its a run down little hotel but not horrible as some people have said.
Nightlife Tip : Walk down to Paddys and The Bounty for a great night out!!! It goes off :) Also, there is a great tattoo artist (Mr Dolphin) in the Kuta Art Markets if you feel like getting some ink. I've had two done there and they have been fantastic.

Great location, safe 5min walk to Kuta beach, supermarket super close for cheap water, drinks, etc. AC worked great and could leave on 24/7 Free breakfast was good and clean, made to order eggs, toast, bacon fresh fruit. Tried to stay another night, booked through agoda again for lesser.
If you plan i sleeping in, stay away from pool area, on the other side of the wall is a kids school and several loud children could be heard playing even on the weekends. Room fridge smelled, front door had a gap along with back door, had a few bugs in the room. They offer wifi and an extra cost of course, thats was too much.
Nice location down a long street, pool was clean, bed was firm, sheets clean n restroom. Free small drink coupon with check in, no brown outs. Around the block downtown was out for several hours. Food was fairly good and service nice. Price was adequate for accommodations. Found cheap internet two blocks down. New TUNE hotel few doors down for cheap but booked up

Location, quiet place, nice staff,
no/expensive internet, quite expensive food in restaurant.
The cold watter pressure was too low to have even shower.
We booked this one for our last day. It is nicely located in side street behind Matahari shopping centre. So really quiet. We got upgrade to deluxe cottage, which was in old balinese style. The bathroom looked renovated, but with old equipment, air con was quite weak. The breakfest was good enough for me comparing with other breakfests in guesthouses or small hotesl around Bali.. Good value for the money you pay.
We didnt have prblem with later checkout and storing our luggage.
The swimming pool was too warm.. I prefer it colder for refreshing..
Shopping Tip : Try Matahari shopping centre for all the souvenirs you need. You can buy everything you hae seen in street shops but for much better price. There is a good money changer in front of Matahari shopping centre
