I spent the Christmas holidays with my family here. The location is good, not crowded as in the Kuta area, and it has a nice sandy beach. The site is very big with many swimming pools, and you will not feel you are in a crowded place. Room is big, had we had a very nice dinner at the Ko japanese restaurant. The food was superb. Gourmet lovers will be able to tell that immediately from the starters they served. The only thing that need improvement is refurbishment of the timber floor in the room which is already old and full of scratches.
Restaurant Tip:
Don't miss the japanese restaurant Ko. They serve very good food. We had the traditional sukiyaki, among the best we had ever had. The ambience is very nice too, as if you enter an old japanese palace.

We were upgraded to Singaraja Room which is more spacious...we love the layout and enjoyed the privacy and convience to the gardens, beach etc....Breakfast spread was good. We were told there's a kids club for children which is great for families with young children.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
5-min by taxi to Jengala Ceramic where we can join the workshop...

The Intercontinental is well located on a nice sandy beach adjacent to many beachfront seafood restaurants. It was quiet with no hassles from hawkers on the beach. The hotel is well equipped with a number of different pools and bars and a good spa and gym. The rooms were well appointed although externally a bit grey and our ground floor room had no view. The restaurants were a bit overpriced compared with other hotels we have stayed in in Bali. Convenient for the airport which was not noisy and for Kuta without the hassles
Shopping Tip:
For those that hate markets and bartering the Discovery shopping centre in Tuban a 10 minute taxi drive away is good for souveners

Intercontinental a Treat

We stayed at the Intercontinental for 3 nights after getting engaged in Bali. It is a magnificent hotel with excellent staff to match. The first night we had drinks at the pool bar and I ordered a Jimbaran Breeze cocktail and it was brought out to me in a whole pineapple, very impressive. It's a huge hotel, right on a gorgeous beach. We had a 2hr massage each in the hotel spa and it was the best massage we'd ever had, we both nearly fell asleep it was so relaxing. Our room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. All in all it was the best hotel we have stayed in whilst in Bali. We loved it and would definately return.

I have stayed here 4 times and have zero complaints or cons. The service is impeccable, rooms amazing, food TDF. The grounds are beautiful with a main pool on the edge of the beach and behind this a tranquil pool with fountains at one end. Behind that yet another which is cooler. On each side are small pool/water features perfect for small children to play.
The staff are ever present but unobtrusive.
I cannot praise this hotel enough. It has become my annual retreat. this year I was upgraded to a suite. It was bigger than my girlfriends house!
Restaurant Tip:
The seafood beach cafes are 50 meters away.

What a Fab Stay !
I was totally surprised to be upgraded from a superior room to a club international room. Firstly upon arrival, we were greeted warmly with a drink and express check-in. Great ambience, beautiful gardens, great brekky spread, nice beach.

It was great to arrival at the hotel and to be told when at the express checkin that the room has been upgraded! wow..... upon seeing the room, i must add that it was such a lovely surprise. Everything was just perfect. Cant complain! Plus dinner at the restaurant is a must here, accompanied by a band playing fav hits and your song requests. I totally enjoyed my stay here!

Great Value but Not Quite a 5-Star
Beautiful property - Well-laid out and excellent facilities inside out
Children Program - $17.50 for four hours and we couldn't get our kids out of it!
Beach - A very nice part of the Jimbalan beach, distant from either ends which has lots of people
Breakfast - Didn't get tired of it after five days.
Room Size - BIG! Great for families

This is a great resort if you can overlook a few things, such as the age, cleaniness and a very convenient location for local shoppers.
For us, paying $130 for a great big room, breakfast (a huge spread!) for four and many nice amenities inside, the value is good; however, don't expect a true 5-star experience. From staff response time to upkeeping of the rooms, it's just not quite 5-star.
If you have kids, this is an even better resort!! Besides the reasonably-priced and very, very good children program, it's just a big place to run around, lots of super cool pool features, and the beach is good for kids too.
Restaurant Tip:
The poolside restaurant is actually pretty good even though it's a bit expensive.

Two days in paradise!

A wonderful resort with beautifully maintained grounds, lovely beach, and splendid pool area. Room (suite) was spacious, but in need of renovation. Small screen TVs from the nineties in desperate need of upgrade. Staff very attentive and helpful. I would return to resort for a future stay.
Nightlife Tip:
Observe the sunset at the nearby Rock Bar perched high above the ocean at the Ayana Resort.

Paradise in Jimbaran
Location, beautiful settings, good security, not far from airport, plenty of space

What a wonderful location. First trip to Bali and there was no better way for an introduction than staying at this hotel. Wonderful for our anniversary - not too many children - but also there was plenty of sun loungers and space between around the many pools and looking out over the ocean. Staff very friendly, food great, rooms comfortable and great security. Cannot wait for our next visit.
