Nice, quiet santuary

we enjoy our stay in this hotel. although it's small but it have the atmosphere and friendliness of a 5 star hotel. the food at restaurant is very good also and the price is reasonable. the staff is friendly and helpful. we had a early morning mountain trekking at 3am, the staff prepare our ordered breakfast in box set and give it to us. we book the sawah room, but the hotel staff give us a free upgrade to the awan room when it's full. it also provide a flexible free taxi services to ubud town, just ask the reception and arrange a pick up time and location with the driver, and they will pick u up.
Restaurant Tip:
This restaurant cook good food and their nasi goreng taste special also. The price is reasonable also.

Room was lovely size.
Although you have to pre-book breakfast, it was not a hassle at all as it is cooked as per your requirement. Food was alright, nothing special. But presentation of it was great.
At breakfast time though, you might have one of the staff member offering you to buy plot of land in Bali, which I do not find that appropriate.
All in all, it was an okay stay. Considering the price, and the smelly bathroom, it was fine.

The room we stayed in had a great balcony view of a rice field. All the furniture was well picked out... it felt like we weren't paying enough for the room. It was Great! It was a little tough to find. The staff is willing to book services such as airport transfer, motorbike, etc at a very reasonable rate.

The drawbacks of Junjungan Ubud Hotel & Spa (10 min commute into Ubud center and luxuriously unhurried restaurant service) were forgotten in light of its countless boons. The ever-smiling staff took every measure to ensure comfort, convenience, and clarity of services. Lunch and breakfast were outstanding. (BTW, free slice of pie? What was that all about?) Our room was spacious and elegant, somehow making bamboo seem glamorous. The drivers were timely and friendly.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
We did not do this, but there are bicycles you can borrow. A perfect 20 minute ride into town!

Great service, away from everything

Good things: This is a great hotel - approx 10 mins out of Ubud. The staff were very accommodating, the room was lovely, the view over the rice paddies was lovely etc. There is a constant sound of water which is fabulous and very nuturing. There is no reason to leave the hotel and if you want to then there is a complimentary driver into and from Ubud. There is a tiny convenience store opposite the entrance to buy snacks etc however food is available (and is cheap), and there is a complimentary afternoon tea. The food was good and beautifully prepared. All facilities were available e.g. laundry / massages / etc.

thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. free afternoon tea everyday from 3-6pm. stunning view of rice fields from room balcony. large balinese style rooms with comfortable 4 poster beds and mosquito net. lovely dining area with water features giving a relaxing feel. very good massage service.
Restaurant Tip:
Pundi Pundi, fantastic food and service. Value for money. Lovely view of the rice fields, only a short walk from the monkey forest.

Absolutely amazing...I couldn't be happier!
The room was beatiful, staff fall over backwards to help you and the spa is wonderful.

If you're having any second thoughts about staying here, don't. The hotel is amazing, and the staff will do anything they can to make your stay more enjoyable. Few examples;
They organized a shuttle and breakfast at 2am when we climbed Mt Batu
There are 30 choices for the free breakfast menu (continental and Indonesian)
Everything from the restaurant is 5 star (including the free afternoon tea each day)
The free shuttle service has no limits (i.e. you can go to Ubud 3 time in a day if it suits you)
Shopping Tip:
Couple of tips: "Siwi" is the boss-lady ;) Made GelGel is a wonderful driver who made our trip very enjoyable (Thanks Made!)
A few basic costs:

Timber box up to 150000rp (for the lined jewelery box)
Bin-Tan shirt 30000 rp MAX (if ur feeling generous
A good driver will tell you what things are worth if you ask before you buy :)

"Best little hotel ever"

This small hotel is a little gem, located aprox 3.5 km from Ubud. It is the perfect place to relax and get away from it all. We were met with wonderful smiles and service and this never changed the whole time we were there. There is a great menu for breakfast and is so tasty. The massages were dearer than off the street as you would expect but not over priced and worth every penny. There is also a driver provided to and from Ubud free of charge till 10pm. Overall it was a great stay and we will be certainly going back...
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Try Wayan's walking tour through villages and rice paddies, can be booked online and is a little different from the usual tours. Wayan was happy to answer all questions and chat, along with giving us time to look and admire the surroundings.

Five star service at a three star price

This is the second time that we have stayed at Junjungan. We stayed there 4 years ago. The location is slightly out of town but this is an advantage because the location is so serene. They provide transportation on demand to the center of Ubud. The staff is fabulous and goes out of their way to meet your every need. The facilities are well maintained and attractive. Everything about the Junjungan is perfect!
