One of Bali’s first hotels, built on one of Bali’s best beaches, this lagoon-circled, coral-surrounded hotel was once home to the rich, famous. The rooms are quaint and traditional, with carved beds and are classic with old Bali charm. The hotel has a good restaurant with 24-hour room service and a pool to lounge at, with massage facilities available. Shopping and many restaurants are nearby the hotel in the charming town of Sanur, the first resort town of Bali. But it is the perfect beach that attracts the guests to the island and hotel.

La Taverna serves excellent food in gazebos overlooking the sea, pool or, if you prefer, in front of the waves on the beach itself. The menu features Italian, Indonesian and international cuisine, it offers a comprehensive breakfast selection and a range of light snacks and meals throughout the day. La Taverna also boasts the first wood-fired pizza oven in Bali, which made it famous for the mouthwatering quality of its pizzas. All pasta is made in-house by our chefs, the focaccia bread is fresh baked daily and the espresso, cappuccino and caffe latte are made with the finest Italian coffee. Room service is available in all the rooms, where you can enjoy all of this in complete privacy.

La Taverna is situated right on the beach in Sanur and takes pride in keeping their piece of it pristine - they rake it every morning! The gardens are perfect; the cottages are clean, tidy and well presented and the staff perfect -as are the views from the restaurant, breakfast area and bar. What more could you ask for?

There are a number of hawkers immediately off the La Taverna beach front who can be a pestering, and expensive, nuisance.

The management deserve high praise for achieving perfection at a reasonable price; everything works, from the front of house staff through the chamber maids and gardeners to the retaurant and pool attendent. The rooms are great with plenty of storage space, sunken baths, good air con and delightfully situated in tropical gardens. It was so good we cancelled another hotel and went back there specifically for Nypie.

Restaurant Tip : The beach restaurants to the left of the hotel as you leave on the beach front are great fun and good value - especially the Bonsai

Located on the beach front, the hotel boast a great view of the sea.

No TV in each room.

This one is a real good 3 star hotel. Accommodations are not really excellent, but good enough and satisractory. The attitude of the staff are excellent. They are courteous and their manners are gracious, on which point I am willing to rate this hotel at 5 star. Considering the price, I can recommend this hote to anyone that visit Sanur, Bali.
