Have always enjoyed our stay. Breakfasts are great (especially the Kessler). They should be careful not to overbook the accommodation. I would always avoid school holidays.
Nice, but overpriced

Very comfortable if you get a bungalow room. It's a really nice hotel. Lots of shops/restaurants outside the hotel and laundry services just outside, along with convenience stores if you do not want to pay hotel prices.
- Shopping Tip : Convenience stores, laundry and other essentials just outside of the hotel grounds. Do not talk to the drivers if you are not going to use. They are very aggressive.
Very good hotel

Nice atmosphere, good breakfast. For all kinds of travellers although we don't know how luxurious the most expensive rooms are.

Our stay at the Legian Beach was great though I am not sure how I would cope with such a large hotel during peak season, as I think it could get extremely busy and it could lose the personal touch that we got during our time there. We stayed in a standard room in the main building which was clean and comfortable and great value for the price. Couldn't see much value in upgrading to a "cottage" apart from that fact that it's a cottage. They are however upgrading some of the cottages to have private courtyards and pools which look great and are due to open later this year. Location of this hotel is great - opposite the beach, shops of Legian/Kuta and Seminyak all in walking distance or a cheap taxi ride.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take the time to see the Bali Safari and Marine Park. About an hour's drive but well worth it. Don't be fooled into booking transport through one of the "authorized" tour companies on the street, the park will pick you up from your hotel in Kuta/Legian "free of charge" all you have to do is call them.
One of the best hotels in this area

As the location is near quite a few restaurants, there is no problem to dine outside.
Nice Place!

Would recommend this hotel to just about anyone. Its close to the action of Kuta but once inside the grounds you're another world away.
- Shopping Tip : Legian art market is just around the corner & a great place to get a bargain. There's a Kodak shop just outside the front gate (not beach side) where you can always exchange money. Always good rates & never any problems.
