the villas are very old and badly furnished . the staff is not too polite. we were entitled for free soft drinks in the friage but they charged us for the water also.
very uncomfortable place . not well maintained. over priced. location is bad as there is one way and to go out you have to take a long way. breakfast is bad
Nightlife Tip : a lot of bars and pubs in 20 minute walk

Beautiful rooms, large pool arear, sunset bar, fantastic buffet breakfast
not enough varitey of food to choose from menu
Our stay at the Legian Beach Hotel was great, the daily breakfast daily was a delight as was the two swimming pools the hotel offers, our rooms were very clean and comfortable and were serviced daily, the staff is very friendly and helpful, best feature of this hotel apart from location is the sunset lounge, where you can enjoy a cocktail while waiting the sunset over Legian beach, some improvement need on the dining menu, with maybe a few more items to choose from or changing daily menu would be great, second time stayed there and would not hesitate to make it a third

The room we stayed was right beside the pool with the bar in it and not far to walk to the beach and breakfast was great each day
Internet problems with wi fi expect better from a hotel of this standard and room for a deluxe beach bungolow could have a facelift
Great hotel good clean pools good service in pool bar but in general expect better in the rooms for the money you pay had a deluxe beach villa and room could have had a face lift and no where to really sit in room exept on bed
gardens kept well
Restaurant Tip : Gosha a great place to eat and very close

The beach is beautiful and it's inside the hotel.
The beach is very beautiful. And the best part is that the beach is just inside the hotel. It's very convenient for the customers to swim and play in the beach area. The hotel is very large and the cottage is very quiet. It's a very good place for a whole family to stay, especially for kids. The breakfast is also very nice. We will definitely come back again next time.
Shopping Tip : You need to bargain for everything.

close to shopping, close to cheaper food places, great gardens near the pool. Plenty of chairs to lay on. Good options for shade when lying around the pool area & grounds. Important to me as I am very fair skinned!
people like to reserve lounge chairs but not use them (happens every where) but still annoying.
Cant see ocean form breakfast area - tables in that area are closed off for lunch & dinner - shame really.
We had a delux bungalow which was huge. Canopy bed, flat screen TV (which we didnt use) We had lounge & 2 chairs on the front porch and were a 'hop skip & a jump' to pool & breakfast.
Great breakfast. Close to shops in Melasti St & other places to eat that are a lot cheaper than the hotel - awsome!

Clean, courteous staff, excellent position
Put into Superior Room with no verandah
Disliked the spraying
The staff were very helpful and polite. The hotel was well planned with everything you needed right there. The restaurants were excellent and the food very delicious.
The pool was inviting and refreshing and the abscence of screaming, splashing children was fantastic ! The loungers were comfortable with excellent poolside service. First rate and I would not hesitate to return on my next trip.
Restaurant Tip : Many interesting and different restaurants to choose from.

Nice pools, beautiful gardens and close proximity to beach.
The bathroom was quite small but had been modernised. There was no DVD player.
We stayed at Legian beach hotel at the end of October .Our room was not ready on check -in as someone had a late checkout. We were however given a pool villa room to stay in to make up for this for 2 nights.Really nice hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. The gardens and pool areas were lovely with quite a lot of shade if you wanted it. The pool beds facing the beach were really nice. We watched a few sunsets there, although we were required to order a drink to stay there. The garden villa rooms were fine, the bed was good with a nice canopy over it. It was quiet and peaceful in the room and gardens and was very well kept.I would recommend the hotel and would stay there again.I'm glad we stayed in the villa rooms ,the main hotel block did not look as inviting and were further from pool and beach..
Travel tip : The barbeque night at the hotel restaurant was really good value. There was a lot of food to choose from and the location / entertainment was really good. We would however not recommend The Indonesian speciality restaurant in the hotel ,the menu was very restricted.

Position, garden and grounds, on the beach, rooms
This hotel was so much more than we expected and to add to our delight we were upgraded to a pool deluxe room. The position of the hotel is second to none with everything on your doorstep. The layout is brilliant, the staff friendly and to eat at the hotel was much more reasonable than we expected. After not having been to Bali in over 18 years we were so enamoured by the place we plan on returning next May and making it our annual destination.
Restaurant Tip : Sheppys is just outside the hotel, run by an australian and the food is value for money and very good.

kuta n legian area are notorious for heavy traffic n smog so i tried to find resort having various facilities but most hotel n resorts dnt have any vacancy.if u are young traveler that wanna stay 4-5 star grade accomodation, i would like to say that u needa find it in other area like tabanan or near extremely busy area

We checked in at the hotel and were taken to our room which had 2 single beds and not a double bed as requested. We requested that we be moved to such a room but they said there was none available, so we accepted the issue. After 2 days my wife became very ill and visited the hotel doctor who diagnosed her with gastro enteritis and gave her medications. We asked if we could have a late checkout on the last day as our flight home to Melbourne Australia was not leaving until midnight. We were told that we would have to pay 80% of the room rate to stay in the room, knowing that there were other vacant rooms in the hotel. The hotel is not customer friendly and showed no sympathy to our problems
Restaurant Tip : Pura Indah Restaurant

Close to the beach and shops, friendly services, great breakfast.
Rooms were nice although the superior room is getting a little old.
The pools were very nice and clean and the deck chairs were very comfortable.
Best selling point would be the location so close to the beach.
The website advertised internet connections in the room, this was not the case and they wanted us to pay money to use a connection in the lobby therefore false advertising.
Service around the pool area for food was very slow.
We had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel, the location being right on the beach was great and we could not falt the friendly service from the Balinese staff.
The rooms were very nice and comfortable although our superior room was getting a little old and probably will need some updating in the near future.
The breakfast was great with a wide variety of different foods thay we enjoyed daily.
The pool areas were very nice with and being adjacent the beach we had the choice of swimming in the pool or the surf.
All in all i would recomend staying at the hotel and hope to be back soon.
Travel tip : Being a surfer i enjoyed having nice waves directly out the front of the hotel.

Breakfast was a good selection
Noise travelled between rooms. Security at rear of hotel did not exist. Bathroom very small and shower was over the bath. Smell from rubbish bins at the swim up bar end of the pool.
Legian Beach Hotel was the third and dearest hotel that we stayed at last week in Bali. We were quite disappointed with the hotel and certainly expected more. The hotel is showing its age and although we were upgraded from a superior room to a deluxe bungalow, because they couldnt find a superior room with a king bed as we had booked, it was disappointing. Noise travelled between rooms. The bathroom was very small and the shower was in the bath. The furnishings, whilst in keeping with the Bali feel, are now dated and could do with some updating. We were shocked to see that security at the rear of the hotel was non existent and the whole hotel is open to the beach and anybody that feels the need to roam the hotel and use the facilities. Considering this was the dearest hotel in our stay, we regretted having booked in there and certainly would not return.

nice beach, better than kuta end,
air conditioner had to be re-gassed, not cold enough, and turns off when you are out of the room, so takes ages to cool room down if you have been out all day.
nice beach, perfect location, room a bit small for deluxe, but nice.
Hotel Feature Tip : beach is beautiful, right out the front.

Great location, nice room decor, well maintained, attentive staff, excellent breakfast.
expensive (compaired to others in the area)
This was my second stay at the hotel & although it was pretty much the same as 2 years ago the price has increased significantly. I still chose to stay here as we now travel with an infant & wanted somewhere we knew but I didn't think it was value for money. Location is right on the edge of Legian/Kuta so its perfect for easy access to plenty of shops & restaurants.
Travel tip : Kodak shop opposite the main entrance is a great place to exchange money. Good rates & always above board.

Location, staff, programmes
variety and quality of dinner, a little bit loud air conditioner
We liked to be in Legian Beach Hotel. We got the cottage we booked in advance, and it was lovely place in a neat garden. The staff was very friendly, everyone was smiling like all over in Bali. The two swimming-pools were far enough for the guests, but sometimes the beach was full of trash. The hotel offered a great variety of different programmes both in the hotel and out of it. For having a dinner you should better go out into the neighbouring restaurants. Anyhow the 12 days we spent there were unforgettable in the good sense of meaning.
Shopping Tip : Start the bargaining at less than half price otherwise wou will get the "fools bag" and that shows the other merchants that they can cheat you. :o)
