Breakfast was a good selection
Noise travelled between rooms. Security at rear of hotel did not exist. Bathroom very small and shower was over the bath. Smell from rubbish bins at the swim up bar end of the pool.
Legian Beach Hotel was the third and dearest hotel that we stayed at last week in Bali. We were quite disappointed with the hotel and certainly expected more. The hotel is showing its age and although we were upgraded from a superior room to a deluxe bungalow, because they couldnt find a superior room with a king bed as we had booked, it was disappointing. Noise travelled between rooms. The bathroom was very small and the shower was in the bath. The furnishings, whilst in keeping with the Bali feel, are now dated and could do with some updating. We were shocked to see that security at the rear of the hotel was non existent and the whole hotel is open to the beach and anybody that feels the need to roam the hotel and use the facilities. Considering this was the dearest hotel in our stay, we regretted having booked in there and certainly would not return.

nice beach, better than kuta end,
air conditioner had to be re-gassed, not cold enough, and turns off when you are out of the room, so takes ages to cool room down if you have been out all day.
nice beach, perfect location, room a bit small for deluxe, but nice.
Hotel Feature Tip : beach is beautiful, right out the front.

Great location, nice room decor, well maintained, attentive staff, excellent breakfast.
expensive (compaired to others in the area)
This was my second stay at the hotel & although it was pretty much the same as 2 years ago the price has increased significantly. I still chose to stay here as we now travel with an infant & wanted somewhere we knew but I didn't think it was value for money. Location is right on the edge of Legian/Kuta so its perfect for easy access to plenty of shops & restaurants.
Travel tip : Kodak shop opposite the main entrance is a great place to exchange money. Good rates & always above board.

Location, staff, programmes
variety and quality of dinner, a little bit loud air conditioner
We liked to be in Legian Beach Hotel. We got the cottage we booked in advance, and it was lovely place in a neat garden. The staff was very friendly, everyone was smiling like all over in Bali. The two swimming-pools were far enough for the guests, but sometimes the beach was full of trash. The hotel offered a great variety of different programmes both in the hotel and out of it. For having a dinner you should better go out into the neighbouring restaurants. Anyhow the 12 days we spent there were unforgettable in the good sense of meaning.
Shopping Tip : Start the bargaining at less than half price otherwise wou will get the "fools bag" and that shows the other merchants that they can cheat you. :o)

- Beautiful grounds/ gardens
- Swim up bar!!!
The Legian beach hotel is a great place to stay at and i would recommend it to anyone going to bali.
It has absolutely beautiful grounds and gardens. The staff work at keeping them in perfect shape throughout the entire day.
Breakfast is delicious, i would recommend the omelettes to all.
Have been to other hotels but i have to say this is my favorite yet!!!
Restaurant Tip : Try the pizzas!!!!!

Freindly, Welcoming, Fantastic Environment, Great Location, Lovely Rooms, Clean, Great Buffet Breakfast, Nice mixture of guests, great range of free activities.
More lounge chairs neeeded around the pool, as by munch time, there is no way to get one
Upon arrival we were so impressed with the layout, design and atmosphere of the hotel, checkin was quick and easy, and we even received a room upgrade ! Our room location couldn't have been better - 1, 2, 3 steps to the pool ! Grounds and surrounds were always kleen. Location Location Location, within walking distance to great shopping areas and restaurants. In-house Staff were so freindly, greeting you with a hello and a how are you? everyday ! We would recommend this hotel to not only couples but to families of any age/size.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you need a tour guide, Check out Rusli & Rossi at Cantik Fashion, Bakung Sari St, Teratai Ln, 48 Kuta Bali. He picked us up everyday from our hotel, took us to all of the great places and returned us to the hotel each night.

Easily accessible, walking distance to shopping and eateries, great location. Great buffet breakfast and great entertainment at the bars at night
Everything is alright except some details like the slippers in the rooms were not cleaned properly, towels need replacing, abit worn out
It was a great place to stay, location wise is great, not a distance at all to airport, staff are friendly, security is good and staff are warm, friendly and helpful. They serve great buffet breakfast everyday, lots of variety and lots to eat. Good entertainment at the bars at night before you go to bed. I would say a great place to stay whether its a get together with friends, honeymoon or family holiday.

Location- walking distance to Kuta, or Seminyak. Breakfast buffet and Balinese style outdoor layout. Staff are generally friendly and helpful.
Rooms are average in terms of appearance and upkeep.
The location is probably the best feature of this hotel, if you're looking to experience a bit of Kuta or Seminyak in the evenings. Both areas are easily accessible by taxi or even a brisk walk. The beach is just outside the grounds by the pool/ restaurant. Breakfast is a solid spread of Western and Asian foods, and the Balinese style thatched huts and layout make it that much more pleasant. Would probably stay here again, but might look for a slightly better deal- or upgrade to a bungalow.
Nightlife Tip : Walk north, along the beach, to Seminyak if you're looking for more interesting/less hectic nightlife.

Peaceful environment, Very attractive tropical garden, Friendly personnel
Food at the restaurants do not qualify for the additional price compared with independent restaurants in the neighbourhood
We stayed in one of the bungalows and enjoyed that. They are all located in a nice tropical garden environment. Even if the hotel is located close to busy streets and not far from Kuta, it has a peaceful setting. The road in front of the hotel is closed to cars and bikes and makes it easy to go to the beach.
Shopping Tip : The further from the beach, the better offers.

pools are great, frindly and very helpfull staff,
beautifull gardens peace full.
Rooms need to be inproved Eg: coat of paint bad smell of meldue in rooms, Air Cons need to be updated. I would only give the rooms a rating of 2/3 not a 4 star
I enjoyed my stay at the Legian Beach Hotel. On arrival I was greeted by staff with drink voucher and cold wet towel just perfect.
walked to our rooms very disapointed with the bad smell in room, TV movie chanels bad, I would not stay there again, because of the Rooms, The Hotel is Rating 4 star hotel and for the price you pay not worth it.
Restaurant Tip : Great dinner at Papas Good Value and service.

Location and the setting in the gardens.
Prices within hotel, the lack of quality service around the pool and outdoor areas and the Gymnasium is a joke.
We enjoyed our stay but would be looking elsewhere in the future due to the cons that I have mentioned above.

Heart of Legian and access to the beach plus two pools make the hotel a great place to relax. The grounds of the hotel are well groomed and provide a great deal of space so that one does not need to leave the hotel. Food is standard but you can walk right out of the hotel and get anything you need. Liesure with a reasonable price. You may even get an upgrade. We were in the Beachview Bungalows. This area provided quicker access to the beach and a quieter laid back place to enjoy the slow pace. Lay by the pool or kick back in the deck chairs around the lawn is always a great way to spend the weekend. Hey for the price it is a nice way to spend time at the pool.. January is a slower time in Bali with less people, rainy season so showers can be expected but plenty of sun and enough space to float in the pool. Gotta relax and just enjoy.
Restaurant Tip : walk over to the Padma street area and wander around....we found a nice little Halal food place that was well worth the 3 dollars for a great meal

The pool bar and outdoor spa.
The room we got put in the first two nights with no balcony. The free massage from hotel was the worst massage i have ever had.Everything was dated (air-con)door keys (security).Expensive to eat and drink at hotel.
My wife and i first arrived at the hotel we had to wait 4 hrs to get into our room, which we received a complimenrty massage which was fine but the massage was terrible. We got to our room which was no window or balcony and that just set up the holiday for the rest of the time we were there. Crap
