Dirty and Noisy

Extremeley cheap

yes this hotel is cheap but the rooms are horrible and dirty and the air conditioning leaks into the room so there is a constant damp smell in the room. the rooms are also around a pool which people can stay in till all hours in the morning drinking which is fine every now and again but whilst we were there we had groups of people every night till at least 2am and security did nothing to stop it. The bathroom was disgusting we had to wear our thongs in the shower in fear of getting some infectious disease in our feet. we had to walk across two roads to get our breakfast which was two pieces of toast a small plate of unripe fruit and the juice "bar" had flies and bees everywhere because it was so dirty.

Was booked in for Two weeks but stayed only 2 nights. The first night the room was directly above a band playing so could not sleep until early hours of morning. Next night moved to a differnt hotel owned by the same people (Legion Beach Hotel 2)It had a leaking Air Conditioner which put a huge pool of water on the floor, the enamel in the bath was peeling and unusable (no Shower)and variety of bugs in Bathroom

legian village hotel- average

location
6.3
Upon arrival at the hotel we were barely greated in mute tones, then led without a word across the road and down a dark alley without being told why...not the best feeling at 1am, bungalow room was nice, bathroom was shocking, old, rundown, dirty. cleaners were great, always fresh towels and made beds. security was a joke. breakfast was dry toast, ave fruit and fake juice. At the end of the day this is a 3 star hotel in a great location and you get what you pay for.
Hotel Feature Tip: you can rent a dvd player for 30'000 a night

crappy hotel

near to restaurants, beach and shops

First night gave me a room on the upper floor, didn't realise room is separated from the room beside us just by a sliding door that cannot be closed properly, could actually look through the gap and see the other room, so you can imagine the noise at night from the neighbour beside you, it is as good as sharing a room. Next day, changed to ground floor, which is better, at least can't hear my neighbour. The bathroom is lousy, water pressure is weak, can't really control temperature either, bed is too soft, sinks in at the middle. Breakfast is a joke, toast bread and fruit. Highly do not recommend.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Legian beach is good fun as there are strong waves, do not attempt to swim if you are a weak swimmer. Kuta beach is just crowded with locals and Seminyak beach is nice and pleasant, the waves are smaller and save for swimming.

Very enjoyable stay

Small family orientated hotel, great pool area, very quiet, close to beach, shops, our favourite bars, etc.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Legian Village Hotel, we find it value for money, very friendly staff, love the pool area it always appears to be so much cooler laying by the pool than on the street. We stayed at Joni II where the owners live and got quite friendly with them, they were such lovely people it was their Christmas and they invited us to share a scumptions Indonesian breakfast with them, the curries were devine, I ate so much I couldn't eat for the rest of the day. I would certainly stay at this hotel again.
Nightlife Tip: Great location for the Legends Bar & Billy's which we constantly visited for the great bands.

Location, friendly and Helpful Staff

This hotel is good value for money for the budget traveller. The rooms are clean and tidy and the hotel is in a excellent location for shopping and dining. The pool is small but the time we were there was quiet so most of the time we had it to ourselves. The bedding and linen could do with an upgrade as the beds are very hard and the sheets don't fit properly. Also take you own towel as the ones they supply are smelly.

a decent hotel but breakfast can be improved!

nice, spacious bedroom good liveband every night decent enough for its cheap price

its a decent and nice hotel for the price that i paid. location wise is okay as well. however you will need to take a cab to kuta because walking will cause you about 15-20minutes. the room is nice, everything is good except for the breakfast which could have been improved!
