Hotel is very close to Legian Beach, great pool and pleasant environs, well organised & helpful staff, nice reception area, WiFi Hotspot (moderately priced), poolside restaurant menu has a good selection. Happy Hour beer & cocktails, regular live music. My room was very clean & serviced daily, and everything worked.
The WiFi needs upgrading from XP system to at least Vista - I took my laptop but couldn't use it for emailing, so had to use their computers.
Absolutely enjoyed it so much - I'd thoroughly recommend this Hotel to anyone.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Get a driver and go out and see the sights, cost me about AU$35 for the day, plus any admissions. I did temples, safari park (white tigers), volcano & also parasailing. The driver was good to chat to as I was on my own, and he also was my photographer at times. Also saw a cock fight at my driver's village, and then met his family. We all became friends.
The other important recommendation is to go with an empty luggage - there are so many bargains....learn to bargain!

great place to stay for young people on a budget. the pool was great i stayed here with 2 teenage boys and they loved it. they had bands every night.
the rooms were good, but the bathroom needed some updating, the toilet was a bit old and the air conditioner didnt work the best.
overall we had a great time breakfast was ordinary it was the same every morning just toast and fruit.the service at the bar was good the rooms were cleaned every day the staff were always friendly.except for the toilet i would recommend the legion village to people on a budget.the location was great it was right in the middle of everything just a 3 minute walk to the beach and all the restaurants just outside the front entrance.

Location, friendly staff and price.
A little noisy (room was above shops on a main road)extremely low water pressure in shower.
I loved this hotel, I have stayed at many others in the same area for a lot more money and found this to be great value. Although you do get what you pay for, so don't expect 4star, things like room locality (our door openened to a noisy street)low water pressure in the shower and not much choice for brekkie were the only downfalls. Saying this the room itself was kept very clean, the aircon worked and so did the fridge, the pool was great, the staff were friendly and the position of the hotel itself was central to everything around the Legian end of town. A better hotel may be found for families but if it's just a short trip or just 'The Boys', seriuosly give The Legian Village a go.
Restaurant Tip : Some great restaurants very close, try out Indo National, Posers, Ours, Billy's and Sheppy's.

the room we booked not available so then they upgrade the room on the spot, great! Only something to improve i.e. smell from room toilet, lighting too dark, no power adapter to lend. Overall is not bad, compare to the room charge. Breakfast is nothing there, only coffee & bread! Anyway, not the big deal!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : watch out the gangster in Uluwatu. The guys there purposely "cooperate" with "Monkeys" doing bussiness to steal your glasses!

Conveniently located close to Legian Beach, easy access
Too close to the main road, noisy until late night due to live band every evening.
Legian Beach Hotel is close to beachbut still in the center of all the night life. Thwe hotel itself has aband playing every night until midnight and it is difficult to find sllep early. The hotel pool is not useable coz too close to the road and all bypassers can watch you in there.
It is a cheap hotel to stay, but I do not recommend it at all.

The hotel is right in the thick of things, so you can walk to everything you need.
Rooms are not very big size, like a an average master bedroom with ensuite.
I stayed in a ground floor bungalow which was great not having to up stairs. The hotel was nice an quiet so you could escape all the craziness. The rooms were kept very clean, and staff very friendly. The breakfast very small, so bought breakfast. For the price I was very happy, just do not expect anything to flash. But it is a nice clean Hotel with a good pool.
Restaurant Tip : The Legian Pub has great pub food, cold Bintang and the staff a super friendly.

Well located, quite nice atmosphere, friendly staff.
Room was facing the road, quite noisy... the bathroom was dreadful.
I was 4 nights here, I liked the atmosphere in the hotel, relaxing and friendly. It is well located, minutes away from the beach. The hotel in general is cute, even the room is not bad, bit old though, it would be good a bit of refurbishment. The worse was the bathroom, no acceptable, shame that they don't do something about it. Also my room was on the outside of the building, lots of bikes passing through all day, pretty noisy.
Hotel Feature Tip : Walking distance from the beach and not far from the night life... also reasonable price.

dirty small rooms
pool in front of hotel
The main resturant is very good and reasonable priced apart from the continental breakfast. the room I was given was small, dirty walls and 2 small beds most uncomfortable but its cheap so guess cant complain too much.

cheap, clean enough, close to everything, away from kuta enough..
eggs with my breakfast at no extra charge ;)
no real cons
i read reviews elsewhere that this place wasn't good, blah blah...it was the only place i could book because we went during high season...this hotel is broken into 2 seperate properties (joni 1, joni 2) we were in joni 2 which i guess are the newer of the 2 properties..the pool was smaller but it felt cozier...the typical friendly bali place...would stay again...breakfast was a plate of fruit and 2 peices of toast..eggs at no charge would have made it perfect...the place was clean enough - it is not 5 star cleaning but it is good enough for bali :) no real complaints was more surprised after the bad reviews i had read...don't get me wrong this is not a place for honeymooners but for anyone else..go for it :)
Restaurant Tip : restaurant at the hotel is pretty decent had quite a few meals there...everything was hot and tasty..

Easy to make room reservation, easy payment.
The toilet needs improvement, door can't lock, and no place to hang cloths.
Location is convinient, close to airport, many shops and restaurant nearby. Walking distance to Kuta beach. The bed is ok, but, the toilet needs improvement, inconvinient to take shower.

The staff were VERY friendly & helpful & loved chatting in English at any time of the day or night. They were VERY welcoming on arrival & gave us a much appreciated cold cold drink as we filled in our paper work. Someone even carried our bags upstairs to our room-great as we were tired from travelling. The swimming pool was large,in beautiful surroundings & spotlessly clean. The live music in the restaurant for dinner was good!
Shopping Tip : walk to jalan Legian-plenty of choices & bargains

Great location, very cheap
Superior rooms very basic, could do with a facelift
If you're looking for somewhere cheap to stay, no frills, then this is the place! Located in the middle of jl padma, i love this area and this is the highlight of the hotel for me. If you stay here,i wouldnt recommend the superior room, much better to pay the upgrade to the deluxe or bungalows, my first night in the superior was not that good but the rest of my stay in the deluxe room was well worth it. If you're happy with basic accommodation, fairly large room with queen canopy bed and basic bathroom facilities, this is the place. Breakfast is just toast & fruit, but easy and cheap enough to eat out at any of the many cafes/restaurants along this road.
Restaurant Tip : Make sure to eat at one of the best restaurants on this street, Indo-National, we had breakfast there almost everyday and dinner was fantastic too. One of the best mie gorengs in bali!!

Location: very central, not too far from beach, close to restaurants, bars etc
Price: quite cheap
Staff: helpful and friendly
New units(bungalows) too small and had single beds
Older rooms had more space but were rather tired and in need if some attention
Can be noisy at night as it is very central
Overall we found the Legian Village Hotel to be good. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and it was quite clean and reasonably well maintained. We upgraded to the bungalow rooms but asked to be moved after one night as they are impractically small for two people for two weeks. The "superior" room we got instead was a decent size but a little run down. The breakfast was not worth eating, we decided to forget it and headed out for breakfast every morning after trying it on day one! The pools are quite nice but the pool at Joni II is shady for a lot of the day, and neither have much garden around them.
Travel tip : The salon nearby "Ambience" did the best pedi I have ever had!
