As always my stay at the Maharta was a pleasant one, and it won't be the last. The staff are excellent, it backs onto the beach, and there are several good restaurants within walking distance.

Beachfront Bargain

This was my second time here. I stayed in a superior room which is out the back with nice gardens
And quiet. We loved it as we surfed every day out the front and walked everywhere.
The only negative was that the shower had little or no water pressure.

Small hotel that needs a lot of work done.No hot water, poor water pressure, hard beds, pillows too soft, wifi intermittent. We stayed in deluxe room but not very luxurious.
Not worth $$ paid.

Average hotel that has no hot water, water pressure almost non existent, in fact we lost water all together one evening. Staff try but need to learn some basic English skills.
Would not stay again for the price.

We were very pleasantly surprised at the size, cleanliness and quietness of this 3[!] star hotel. The location is fabulous -right on the beach, but with lots of little cafes and eating/shopping on the street side of the hotel. Loved the pool which, for a change is not surrounded by hotel rooms, but by well maintained lawn and trees. A bonus when you see all the new hotels being squeezed onto any spare of land. Would definitely recommend.
