The Delux rooms were very big and the bathrooms were large also. Staff friendly. Breakfast were yummy.

Not enough sun lounges around the pool are. Pool area a bit shabby.

We enjoyed our stay at Melasti Beach Resort Legian. It was handy to shopping, restaurants and just across a small road to get to the beach. The staff were friendly and our room was always made up by lunch time at the latest. The only negative was the pool area which was tired looking and there was not may sun lounges.

Close to the beach, nice rooms, nice pools

Internet service could be better

Melasti is a fine family hotel with good rooms and bathrooms, nice areas for children i.e. pools etc. The big restaurant down the beach is really useful, The hotel is siutated in the outskirts of Legian village which makes the setting quite peaceful. Do take at least one day to tour Bali. A full day with a taxi should cost you max USD 50. And the driver speaks at least some English.

close to beach, stayed in suite which was huge, close to shops, nice grounds

reception staff unfreindly, also restaurant staff unfriendly and generally unhelpfull, hole place needs a makeover but then you would be paying a lot more, rooms could be cleaned better.

generally the hotel is good value, we were dissapointed with attitude of restaurant and reception staff, unlike most Balinese people for some reason they were unfriendly and unhelpfull. The breakfast was ok, but would not reccommend the restaurant, I guess you cant expect too much for a 3 star hotel. Would probably stay in a suite room again as it was huge (met people in hotel next door and whilst the general standard was better their room was tiny).

The staff were always helpful and very friendly. The beach in front of the Hotel was a lot quieter than Kuta and Seminyak and the room rates very very reasonable. The breakfasts were healthy and I miss my morning omletes. The beer at the roadside bar was cold and cheap. We used Baldey's car hire from the Hotel on several occasions and we found him very knowledgable and his driving of an etremely safe standard. We hired a motorbike from just across the road from the Hotel entrance and the serice was good here as well. The sunset cocktails in the beachfront restaurant are a nice way to end the day however you will get hit the tax on top. Agong, who welcomes you to Breakfast, is a lovely Lady and well worth getting to know.

The plumbing fittings left a little to be desired as we only had a standard room however any minor problems we had were dealt promptly by the staff.I feel that the garden area at the beach front of the hotel could be better utilised for guests. The music from the pool bars leave a bit to be desired however the oys will normally change it if it annoys you.

My Daughter and I stayed at the Melasti Beach Resort and Spa for 10 nights and recommend this Hotel for families and couples. The location at Legian is a good one with the beach straight out the front beng a lot quieter than to the North and South. We used the Hotel transport vehicles on several occasions to sight see and we would recommend Baldey as being a very safe driver. The motorbike hire from across the road from the Hotel entrance was also very reasonable. The breakfasts are the same every morning however there are plenty of healthy options to choose from. The highlight of the Hotel is the helpfullness of all of the staff.

Restaurant Tip : Legian Snacks is a great cheap restaraunt just around the corner.

Good swimming pool in lovely surroundings. Breakast very fresh and well prepared. Same menu each day but good breakfast. Resort has small but lovely gardens.

Bungalow rooms very small. Back facing rooms offer view of hot water sheds that pump water periodically. We changed rooms because of shed and noise.

Disappointed with Melasti rooms. Our first room offered view of a hot water pumping shed that pumps every time hot water is used. Our next room had better view but the single beds were very small. One mattress had a hole in it where a broken spring had been cut out. We requested another change but were informed there were no other rooms available. The Melasti has small but well kept grounds and the swimming pool and dining area is good. Melasti is in a good position for main street and beach. Management staff not as friendly as other Resorts I have stayed in.

Restaurant Tip : Lovely Restaurant in main street called 'Mona Lisa'. Excellent food and value for money. Lovely staff.

The Suite Cottage rooms are very spacious. Beds are king size singles or king size. Plenty of space which includes a sitting room. Bathroom has 2 showers,

Very disappointed with the breakfasts offered. All food was deep fried. Eggs were cooked fresh but unable to choose anything else that wasn't fried. Fruit was frozen and not much taste.

Melasti in a good value Resort, particularly for families. Would only stay in the Suite Cottage rooms. Two swimming pools to choose from and situated in well looked after grounds. Very well situated to Legian shops. The back of the Resort has a walkway right to Kuta or the other way to Seminyak.

Restaurant Tip : Near Melasti along the beach towards Seminyak is an excellent Restaurant called Zanzibar. Ground and upstairs dining overlooking the beach. Excellent range of food at very good prices. The meals are excellent and they employ top chefs.

great food, cheapest balimoon cocktails by far in kuta/legian, great pool, set right on the beach, hardly any hawkers out front of hotel, great breakfast (largest selection), great staff, comfortable rooms.

None

Set in a nice part of Legian with many hotels with great food but the hotel also has good selection of food and reasonably cheap for food/drinks. The beach outside is quiet and clean with few hawkers so that's a different scene from Kuta. Quite a while from the hustle and bustle in Kuta would definately need a taxi down there. Great hotel, comfortable rooms with good selection of channels on tv.

The staff were fantastic very firendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Location was also very good. Only a 5 min cab ride into Kuta. Accommodation is right on the beach and great that it included buffet breakfast - the omelette's were fantastic.

The building is a little outdated but realistically you pay for what you get. It was maintained well though.

A group of 4 friends went to the Melasti and we had a great time. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Was disappointed to be in my own room and there were only 2 single beds which was a bit disappointing but was on my own. I was overall very happy with the venue and swim up pool bar.

The pool bars are a definite highlight, and friendly staff are great. Air conditioned rooms saved my life.

Decor could be modernized or made more cultural to appeal to the traveler.

The Melasti was a great place to stay. I liked being in Legian which is a little more peaceful compared to Kuta, but a cheap cab ride gets you to Kuta or Seminyak. I went to Bali to relax and the Melasti sure did provide that atmosphere. I would recommend the Melasti to the bargain traveler.

Nightlife Tip : After dinner, find something to do before the clubs start pumping after midnight. Drinking back at the hotel is a good option to fill the time between 9 and 12.

Lovely gardens

Pool area needs to be upgraded and more poollounges and umbrella's around the pool area.

Found the resort to be a little rundown and needs a bit of work and the staff not that helpful or friendly. The rooms are to dark in area and curtain to light that sun comes through to early in morings

Restaurant Tip : lovely restaurants within walking distance towards seminyak

Good location, friendly staff, room generally pretty clean. 3 pools & a kids club is a bonus.

Older hotel, needs some updates, breakfast & other food poor

The hotel looks like it would have been great in its day but now looks dated & in need of a re-vamp. The location is great for beach access & also has access to a street with plenty of shops & restaurants. We stayed in a deluxe room which was a great size, especially with an infant. The breakfast needed some more variety & other meals were poor quality. I'd stay again only for the room size but there are nicer hotels close by.

position of motel surroundings.Outdoor staff (restaurant and bars)

Staff at front desk very impersonal

The motel could be spruced up a touch. The location is sensational but certain areas are showing signs of age.We found the staff at the front desk ok but very impersonal, but on the other hand the other staff were exceedingly courteous and very helpful. We tried to speak Indonesian as best we could and they were very helpful how it should be pronounced and used.We spoke to other guests at the motel and found that we paid a higher rate for our room than they did with a lot more of inclusions by using a travel agent.Such as one extra day, late checkout.Airport transfers were another problem, with may hotels in the area offering a better service. We would go back again but would be more selective of the price we were asked to pay.In saying all this we thoroughly enjoyed Bali and its beautiful people and customs.

Everything great, room very clean ,service, pool, staff, food, close to beach and shopping.

Pool bar closes really early

The melasti Beach resort was fantastic. It is close to everything eg, shopping, beach, resturants but far enough away from the general hussel and bussel of bali. Highy recommend it to any family. Great place for kids and familys to have fun.

Shopping Tip : Never pay the first price they ask for.
