I think we made our trip superb because of the hotel also. Even though we booked our hotel through intenet we were very pleased that we got a chance to stay in abeautiful hotel. We have no complaints about anything and looking forward to visit Bali again and staying at the same hotel.

The bottom line is I would have been very disappointed with the Nikko had I paid full price, but at the discounted rate I was thrilled. There were some really annoying shortcomings (really surprising for a hotel of its caliber), but overall we really enjoyed our time there and would gladly return.

Stunning location perched on a cliff, good beach, the building and grounds are beautiful (the open-air lobby is really spectacular), rooms are a little tired but immaculate and still beautiful, great spa, and a terrific value through agoda.

Abysmal and limited food options, which is a problem since the property is isolated. While staff were often excellent, there were several times where they just fell flat on their faces. For instance, I - on the beach no less! - had to track down a waiter to get an order in, and after an hour went to find food from the gift shop ( the only other place open and located 2 buildings and 15 floors away) because we were starving. And all that at noon on a Sunday. Also, there is a fair amount of construction going on, but it wasn't really much of a bother at all nor did it much detract from the resort.

  • Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Don't let the hotel's (relatively) isolated location turn you off. There are some free shuttles and taxis are inexpensive in Bali. And when all the sightseeing and shopping is done, you'll appreciate returning to the calm and beautiful location .

Absolutely the worst experience I have had from a hotel. Construction ruined my holiday and I feel I was decieved as there was no mention of this onn booking. Any moral hotel would close during refurbishment work and not have guests put up with noise, workmen and temporary facilities. Also 5 star is a Joke, Room furniture Old and manky , mould on the small couch. Breakfast way below average, they reall need an increased budget to raise the food quality.

Good Service Great location for Rest and Relaxation

Construction - This really upset me as my main aim was to relax form a stressfful work year and I arrive to find they are carrying out construction of a new poolside restaurant and renovating rooms!!! This ruined my holiday and I am quite angry about the incessant noise day and night. If it would do any good I would file a complaint with the Indonesian Tourisn board as there was no advice on this before booking

  • Hotel Feature Tip : WAit till they have finished construction!!!

This hotel is an excellent choice for people seeking a quiet retreat in Bali with one of the best service treats available (especially for Nikko Club room occupancy). Suitable for honeymooners and couples wanting a true romantic experience of Bali and enjoying the oceans view and warm sunshine with a feeling of being on a totally secluded island. Take the Nikko Club rooms and be pamperred at the Nikko club with a private pool and sun deck in almost complete pivacy. It is rather expensive though.

A more secluded location allowing quite retreat for full pleasure of enjoying Bali's natural beauty and exotic landscape. Located on and above a clift giving it a unique and special ambience.

Only one restaurant is available for lunch (located at the beach/pool side) none within the hotel itself.

This was great value for your money for an oceanview room. The entire resort was AMAZING! Located in the 5 star area the location of the hotel was a bit out of the way, but then again that was the geography of Bali, unless if we chose to stay in Kuta. I can't get enough of the breakfast area of this place, the entire stay was amazing and great value for your money. And of course how can we forget about the spa villas. The only thing I wished was the rooms be a bit more sound proof, so that we don't hear next door when they raise their voice in the middle of the night. Then again the hotel had a more tropical theme to it where the walls are thin.

The oceanview room was amazing! and the food was great too

construction going on in the rest of the hotel and the suites were not sound proof

  • Restaurant Tip : The food in the hotel is roughly about the same price as in Jimbaran, after factoring in the taxi ride. Most restaurants if u negotiate with the restaurants in Jimbaran will arrange for a taxi ride back to your hotel.

Stay in the hotel as long as possible. You don't need to go outside as the hotel itself is a really nice place to enjoy and relax.

Having stayed at the hotel when it first opened, I was expecting the same excellent experience I had then - but boy, was I wrong! So much has changed. Buffet breakfast selections were smaller and the hotel seemed to be more rundown. Hotel staff are very friendly but are always happy to assist but are not really trained in proper customer service. Nothing was done to fix up the poor and slow food service and even though we gave our arrival time it took 1 1/2 hours before our room was ready without any communication to us on how long much longer we had to wait! They were not really prepared for the influx of guests during the holiday season - even though they know how many guests they'll be having.

  • Restaurant Tip : Don't eat at the hotel. Food quality was somewhat poor and service bad.
