Novotel Benoa Hotel, Bali

This being our sixth stay at this hotel over the past ten years it suit us for a relaxing holiday the staff are very friendly and go out of there way to ensure a holiday to remember. There are lots of different restuarants to coose from in the immediate area if you tire or the hotel food, this by the way changes on a daily basis . we will be back at some time in the not to distant future.

The thing I liked best about this hotel is that the staff were really really friendly. It's a little bit isolated but that's what is really good about it. There's a Circle K nearby which is great and there is also tonnes of other stalls. However the food is a little bit expensive for somebody that doesn't come from America or Europe. Other than that, things are really fine. I liked the beach a lot because it was really clean. THe pools are also amazingly excellent.

Lovely place, great service, good for an unwinding getaway. I may be hard to please but I would prefer a bit more of the beach-shacks and independent restaurants than in-house restaurant & sandwich bars. There are good few on the main road, but the hotels stranglehold of the beach kills off the opportunity for some lovely romantic or cool bars and sunset meals. The resort feel is only slight but does leave a bit of the manufactured about it. Can't fault it for relaxing & romantic getaway, good food, but it a taxi's to anywhere off the beaten track, sightseeing or beers on the beach as the sun goes down - A great base for laid back holiday and travelling for day trips to Ubud (definitely 2-3 days) 90mins 600,000 rtn taxi Jimbaran Bay (good seafood & sunsets) 60,000 rtn taxi (not incl waiting time) & Kuta (overrated and a bit benidorm) although supposed to be a full-on night out.
