We stayed in a deluxe room (which was a newish addition to the resort I hear).The room we were inially given aws at the very edge of the resort and we got a earful of the night sounds that went on to 12.30 pm .we asked to be shifted and they did so the next day.Thank heavens !! The breakfast was simply wonderful with an array of asian and western breakfast all served as a help yourself smorgasbord.The art work around the gardens was breathtakingly beautiful and the various bars and restaurants (that were an explorers delight) served amply to satisfy different tastes .My favourite was the sunset bar with a small band of musicians and the attached Italian restaurant
Suswenda the chief of security at the Padma helped me retreive money from money changer/magicians. Hahahah!!! it was a good experience in a way
Shopping Tip:
Do not go to a money changer that offers a higher exchange rate (usually in small laneways and especially in poppies lane 11(2).
They are magicians that specialise in making money dissapear in front of your eyes.

first time in bali and i picked the perfect hotel for our stay. great location, close to beach, restaurants and shopping. never short of a taxi. staff are very helpful and friendly.
Restaurant Tip:
Great Italian restaurant up the road along the beach called Mozerellas. Ate there twice and was impressed both times.

Peace and Perfection in Paradise.

I have just returned from a 12 day stay at the Padma Resort and have to say that my stay there was the highlight of my visit to Bali. I had a deluxe room on the top floor with a view looking out over the gardens and tree tops. Each morning I was woken with birdsong. The room was surprisingly quiet and I was never aware of neighbouring guests. The bed was huge and the quality of the mattress, bed linen superb. The bathroom was spacious and offered two different showers and an immense bath. I have travelled through many parts of the world and never, ever have I come across a breakfast "banquet" like that offered at the Padma. The spread was so sumptuous and varied that I found it really difficult having to hold back! Whilst the hotel facilities and the immaculate grounds are world class, the stand out difference is the service offered throughout the hotel. Nothing is too much trouble and service is always graciously offered. From the most attentive Front Office Manager, Sr Dewar, to Satria who serviced my room everyday, the staff were, without exception excellent. In all of my time in Bali I did not see another place at which I would have rather stayed. I am already making plans to go back!
Restaurant Tip:
Try the Lemongrass Thai restaurant in Legian. The food and service are excellent.

We have stayed in many 5 star hotels in Bali but the Padma is far the best. The staff are A1 so helpful & always a smile, the room was the cleanest I've stayed in (& I'm a clean freak)The Club Benefits are well worth the extra money, pools spotless grounds beautiful, breakfast was in a class of its own,spa was to die for, location fantastic everything right out your doorstep restaurants, pubs, shopping. We will not be able to visit Bali again without staying here.

our favourite place to stay when staying in the legion area of bali. would not stay anywhere else. love the location of padma as it is right in the middle of a great choice of restaruants in walking distance and not to discount the great selection of padma's own restaraunts. one we always visit is the bella rosa, the italian night they put on with enterainment is always a great night out. the deluxe chalet rooms are a good size and great bathrooms. a bonus this stay is that they have indroduced free wi-fi all over the site including in your room. the only negative we found which was unfortunate is that we are finding it is becoming more of a family resort, there were a lot of babies and toddlers around in the morning at breakfast. so if you want peace and quite you unfortunately may have to re think this one.

Our vacation started with a room upgrade without us even asking (don't know if it was because of the hotel or where we booked our reservations), anyway it was a nice surprise. Room was located floor level thus very convenient. Quiet and blackout curtains with the comfy bed made our sleep so peaceful. Hotel is huge, Thus noise from outside the vicinity is impossible to be heard inside. 1 huge pool plus another one with waterfalls. Nice. Ambiance of the hotel, from main lobby to the gardens to the restos is top notch. 5 star rating is achieved and believable. Breakfast buffet is enough, they change menus daily thus the relief of eating the same food again and again. Location is excellent, walking distance to a lot of decent restaurants, plus easy to take a blue bird taxi beside lobby to very nearby kuta and seminyak. Staff very friendly and helpful. Another plus is a departure lounge, where you can stay until 9pm on your check out day with nice clean showers and locker room which was very helpful because our flight back was at midnight. Wifi could have been stronger at some areas but all in all, our first time in bali was just perfect because of the hotel. well worth it!
