The peacefulness of this small 24 unit resort was the best selling point.

The wine is far too expensive, even for Bali resort standards. $95 USD for a Chilean or Australian basic White? No thanks.

This is not like the mega resorts with large groups of families and kids at the pool..it is a much more relaxed place and perfect for getting away from it all. The grounds are immaculate, the food is decent, the staff is wonderful. The villas are very private, with your own pool in some. The spa is very nice too. The resort has regular shuttle into Ubud where there are nice resturaunts and shopping, but it is also in walking distance if you like to walk like we did.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take avantage of the trek across the ridge, nice views of rice fields, etc.

-Villa , Pool , Style ,setup and the staff are too friendly.

- poor communication between the staff. (If you ask for something "e.g. outside reservation/trip" , you have to follow up with the same person).

The place is very beacfull nice room , the breakfast could be brought to your room , beautiful pool and amazing view. the staff are very friendly ,but the hotel followup system is kind of poor . During check out i received a very nice gift from them as a honeymoon gift. it was to valuable and nice :). for me if i go to bali 5 more times , i will be happy to stay in pita maha agian, agian and again

The Villas are beautiful, love the outdoor bath and shower. The pool is magical. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

THe television reception is terrible however they do have DVD's at reception - and besides the resort is too beautiful to be sitting inside watching television.

We really wanted to stay in a more traditional Balinese hotel in Ubud, and this resort was perfect. The Villas are huge and absolutely private. The pool disappears over a cliff into a rainforest which is magical, the whole resort is very open, complimenting the landscape. A traditional spa treatment is a must. The best thing however about our stay were the staff, they were incredibly friendly and helpful, it was quite sad to leave! We will definitly be back as soon as we can!

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Make sure to visit the Royal Pita Maha and have lunch at the organic restaurant down by the water rapids. Amazing.

pool, villa, location, service

Cons - If I had to name one I would say the portions at the restaurant, particularly at dinner. The food is excellent but the portions are quite small compared to other comparably priced restaurants. But the view from the restaurant is divine and the service is impeccable.

From the moment we were greeted at the airport by our driver we knew we were in for a special experience. He provided us with soothing cool hand towels and cold water which were a welcome treat after our very long flight. On the ride to Ubud you are exposed to a myriad of images and senses and can not imagine the calm and tranquil oasis that awaits you upon arrival at the absolutely gorgeous Pita Maha resort. We were greeted by very welcoming staff with a fresh fruit cocktail. The aroma of fresh flowers filled the air as the sounds of the gamelan and Balinese flute were played by musicians near the entry to the hotel. The decor is traditional with a modern twist. The sleek teak furniture and gorgeous flower arrangements do not overshadow the stunning views of foliage and rice paddies. We had a private garden villa which was huge! It also had a beautiful view and nice outdoor seating. There are special touches everywhere: fresh flower petals on the bed; our own slippers and robes; fresh fruit; and a welcome gift of sarongs. The villa is superbly appointed yet feels so authentic. The soaring Balinese ceiling is a work of art. The outdoor bathtub was a surprise and a perfect way to start out our adventure. The villa did not have a private pool but frankly we did not need one. We enjoyed the spectacular infinity pool mostly on our own. I saw maybe one other person the whole time I was at the pool. I will never forget the pool or the entire resort and was very sad to leave it. My only regret is that I did not stay longer. I could have easily spent two weeks at the Pita Maha resort and will definitely be back!

Restaurant Tip : Just two doors down the left is a fabulous restaurant called Indus. It has great views and delicous food. The pumpkin samosas are to die for and there is an extensive list of original fruit juice cocktails.

Beautiful hotel, great "villas" and very friendly staff

breakfast and quality of restaurants compare to the prices

Very nice place, great service, "Hollywood" swimming pool: almost the perfection (except the breakfast that is a little poor).

The features that sold me were the individual "villa" environments for privacy and relaxation and the highland/river valley views available from each accommodation unit. My internet evaluation was surpassed by the real world experience. An absolute genuine Bali experience generated by the warmth of the people, traditional presentation and just absolute, hassle free comfort everywhere. I commend the hotel and staff for the effort and presentation for my wedding on site. It exceeded my expectations and their offer of additional nights stay truly represented how they went out of their way to make our stay the most memorable yet.

The villa environments are so inviting you quite often linger and relax, however you are limited to one round of coffee before calling for more. (This was no hassle at all. The service was very prompt. However it would have been nice to have a couple of rounds of local Bali coffee at your fingertips.) The river valley setting means there are steps and treks to your Villa. The beauty of the hotel environment and the well kept gardens outweighed the huffing and puffing you need to do to get from villa to dining or reception.

You cannot but be relaxed as soon as you arrive at the Pita Maha. The warmth and welcoming of the people remains throughout your stay and it would have to be one of the ultimate Bali experiences to stay at one of their pool/garden or garden villas. We were able to experience both due to their extended hospitality and we have to extend our appreciation to the staff for making our stay so truly wonderful and memorable.

Restaurant Tip : Just a few doors down from the Pita Maha, behind the antique shop is a nice family style cooking restaurant. Very friendly and accommodating, and with the best chicken. We went there several times and had the dining balcony (excellent views) to ourselves.

Taste the very atmosphere of Bali, has been built and comfortable. Very nice scenery. Associated with nice spa facilities. 3 nights or more is free airport transfers.

The poor because of all the small animals such as geckos and Lac is bad for the heart (especially at night!). Less hot water bath. Meals are usually the worst. So do not expect amenities.

Beautiful green flowers, birds, and enjoy the scenery, very comfortable we feel strongly in Bali. The experience of the spa, private pool and fantastic views, flower bath, sauna and more impressed. The friendly staff gave me a lot and Indonesian.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Balinese dance performance is held nightly in Ubud is very interesting. Nightly, in many colors and have fun so what kind of plays. ARIGATAKATTA time to time after coming to the hotel shuttle bus. The fun walk in the countryside nearby. There are a strength, it was very peaceful.

UBUDORASHII hotel room in the beautiful historic atmosphere with dignity, good service

Hotels with facilities such as elevators for the price is just wide staircase elderly or disabled people is not adequate.

Good atmosphere, but UBUDORASHII hotels, premises and other facilities open to hotel elevators only go up the stairs only. . . The hotels in the elderly adult is not adequate because of high prices. The prices are very high and in Bali. I hope to stay in another hotel if this hotel More at this price. Once for the experience of sleep may be good, I want to stay at the hotel again or not. "

Hotel Feature Tip : I do not go outside the room every so often when you go up the stairs and down a web of facilities, minibar in the room, the room service, two beer wine (half bottle) 80US dollars per book and I think Bali is too high. The other two do not mind staying again.
