This luxury resort is tucked away in a quiet part of Lovina and faces a stretch of a stunning black volcanic beach. The gazebos and sun loungers along the beachfront are perfect for relaxing and sunbathing. All 40 bungalows have high ceilings, are airy and extremely cozy, and have a view of either the ocean or the garden. They all come with a secluded outdoor shower area. The shops and restaurants in Lovina town are some distance away, but the resort provides a free daily shuttle bus service to and from the town center. There are also lovely restaurants serving Balinese and European food within walking distance of the hotel. Guests especially recommend 1,000 Dreams, which is a short walk to the left of the resort along the black sand beach. A sunrise dolphin cruise on a traditional Balinese boat is a must and will set you back only ten US dollars. Comfortable villas, beautiful grounds & pool, wonderful, friendly and helpful staff. Gives a sense of being remote and away from the normal tourist track.

A 3-hour drive from Denpasar the mountain road is narrow, tortuous, and with heavy traffic - use a driver. Night noise is a periodic problem - traffic, local discotheque.

This resort is used by many tour companies as a one-night stop arriving late afternoon and leaving quite early the next morning. Consequently customers staying for extended periods find that the resort can seem almost empty during the day - we find this very positive. This resort has been an annual pilgrimage for us for the past 7 years and is a true retreat providing beauty and comfort at a reasonable price, and contrasting greatly to the busy tourist areas in the south.

Very nice big rooms and individual cottages with outdoor showers

Breakfast definitely not up to standard, food cold and very little choice expect better for the quality of hotel - didn't want to attempt their dinners.

Very nice hotel right on the beach, not the greatest of beaches but nice to watch the sunset over the water. Rooms comfortable - however was very suspect on the cleanliness of the linen - throw on bed very stained and blanket in room YUK. It would appear that the resort is undergoing refurbishment of sorts so maybe they ar gradually doing the rooms up

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Do not bother with the dolphin 6am trip - about 40 outrigger boats chasing down some poor dolpins but DO DEFINITELY go snorkling or diving at Menganjan Island fabulous.

Food from ala carte menu were fantastic and price reasonable.

Limited variety for buffet breakfast. Price too steep for hotel stay.

First trip to bali and heard alot about the dolphins and black sand at Lovina beach. Chose Puri Bagus Lovina Resort Bali after going thru the hotel description and reviews on Agoda. Stay was peaceful as resort was not crowded. Room was clean and spacious. However, price is too steep. Personal opinion, do not feel that stay was value for money after staying at other hotels onduring the same trip.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Dolphin tour at 6am daily.
