Very nice pools and garden. Quiet rooms. Hotel in a very old condition. Unfriendly and extremely slowly staff. Dirty beach, expensive restaurant. Room cleaning service poor. The hotel is nice concerning garden and pools. But the rooms are old, dark and in a quite bad condition. Unmotivated staff, slow and not so friendly. Comparing with ressorts e. g. in Thailand, it was disappointing. Noone feels responsible to clean the beach. Poor electric installations, lost 3 times electric in 10 days. If someone would take care, this hotel could be nice, but it seems that noone has the motivation. For this service and condition of the hotel, the price is just too high.
Restaurant Tip : Go for eating and massage outside the hotel, many restaurants nearby. Same quality like in the hotel, but half price. Same for taxi and washing service.

Free wireless though the connection was poor
Good swimming pool area. Very dark room.
Staff unfriendly.
Pool towel man extremely rude. We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our 2 week honeymoon in Bali. It was our last stop after 3 other hotels and was the most disappointing. Our room was ready on arrival, fair enough, we were early- we were then told they would upgrade us as honeymooners. Well I would hate to have seen the previous room, our 'upgrade' was up 3 flights of stairs to a very dark and uninspiring room. We had gotten used to the amazing level of hospitality in Bali but it was seriously lacking here. Staff were the most unfriendly out of all our stays in Bali. There is a lot of protocol which you must stick to- on arrival you are given a passport which entitles you to discounts in their restaurants and you are supposed to get pool cards. We got no pool cards and our passport was not filled in- this caused endless confusion!
On a positive note we were given a free half hour massage each in the spa, which was fabulous!!

swimming pool, beach front rooms were quite small
rooms are starting to look a bit tired
beach wing has no beach view Generally I was not overly impressed with the Puri Santrian, its not a bad place but it's not really good either. I paid the extra money to get a beach wing and was a bit disappointed to find out there were absolutely no beach views, beach wing must just mean - closer to the beach! The best part of the hotel is the beach area, great swimming pool, restaurants and plenty of space on the beach.

Quiet, cosy and very relax resort by the sea with 3 swimming pools. 1) Room a little worn down.
2) Power tripped twice.
3) Lighting broken down in room was not replaced. Very friendly and helpful staff. Place is cosy but a little worn down.
Suggest to upkeep place. Example replace all broken lighting in Room 221.
Air con is noisy but not cold. Overall, a very nice environment for family as well as for couple to holidays.
Definitely will return.
Shopping Tip : You can find small shop just outside the hotel.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, nice beach, good restaurant, pleasant garden and pools, rooms are spacious and comfortable. Bed sheets are a bit overused, rooms don't have room slippers and bath robes This hotel offers a very good quality-price ratio. Overall, the hotel facilities are excellent: two swimming pools with many sun loungers, good restaurant with tables along the beach, good breakfast bufffet with live balinese music performance. The rooms are located in scattered bulidings in a very pleasant garden. The spa in the hotel is very nice with good service. The beach is good and well provided of sun loungers with comfortable pillows, two gazebos in the sea and free canoes at demand.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Nothing to remark in this aspect.
The room was spacious, clean, with a nice verandah over the garden. Bed sheets, however, were very dated but always clean.
I would recommend this hotel for a very pleasant and relaxed stay and if I ever return to Bali, I will surely stay again in the hotel.

Beautiful resort; great food. Beaches are rather disappointing in this part of the island. It's a beautiful resort, decorated in a true balinese style; certainly an amazing experience. Please keep in mind that beaches in this part of Bali are not nice at all. If you're hoping to lay out on the beach all day, try Nusa Dua. The food they serve is very tasty indeed.
Restaurant Tip : Order food at their beach front restaurant - very tasty!

Lot of facilities, nice beach We were in the Santrian Club rooms and thought to have something special. We found it (maybe due to our previous hotel in Ubud) a bit of a 'standard' room. We found the interior somewhat outdated.
Breakfast was ok, but expected more. For a fried egg or omlett for instance you had to pay extra.
Also, we found the hotel was too big, even though it is one of the smaller ones around.
The value for money though is quite good.

Location accessibility is good, like the hotel's interior and clean room. However, my suggestion is hotel management has to trim down trees available at hotel's surroundings. Too compact which caused less light to walkway and room during daytime. Overall, I'm still very satisfied with this hotel. Nice interior/exterior decor with good security at main gate.

nice setting, friendly staff, good restaurants, club is mostly relaxing staff although friendly not always helpful, bored (?), plants in garden infested with fungus (all!) and the only thing is poison is sprayed! Have been to the hotel four years ago, seems nothing has been mantained since, pool deffinitly has not been scrubbed, water was never changed, smelly, now showers at the pool, fatty film on water surface, no drinks or food served at pool ( club pool) only when pleading very hard, strickt one towel pollicy We choose the puri santrian club rooms because we have been here before when it was still knew. The place now lacks the warmheartedness it had before! Pools have not been scrubbed in years, and the water has not been changed equally! Staff though friendly is disinterested, sometimes a table in the restaurant is serviced by ten different people! The reason for that is probably the management policy is to pay by just signing, so tipping is not common. None the less it is a nice place, however the rate is high and not always worth it

gardens are wonderfool and swimming pool graet
We arrived in the hotel early and even if it was before the check in time people was very nice.we enjoyed the gardens and the swimming pool.Our children were in paradise.The view is really nice from the garden to the sea and the two swimming pools are very nice,one is more quiet ,the other bigger,and nicer view.The restaurant is good people very professional.We enjoy our stay very much even two days.

Old world Bali can be lived and experienced at the Pur Santrian There wont be any bathing or showering throughout the night as the hot water is shut off until 7am Heaven can be found on the grounds at the Puri Santrian. This Hotel has old world charm from yesteryear's. The staff are some of the loveliest people who accommodate your every need with complete graciousness. When not being served, the local staff can be found serving their Hindu gods and are often found praying and giving thanks in several prayer housed located on the property. The Pur Santrian is the best way to spend your vacation in Bali
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : It can all be found outside your front door, shopping, open markets, great food and night life.
The Pure Santrian is in the center of it all.

spa, restaurants, beautiful garden, great room staff at beach restaurant very good value for your money. we were upgraded from deluxe room to junior suite at arrival. suite was very spacious - clean bathroom, 2 balconies...delicious breakfast, excellent dining options and a deluxe spa area; spa area is very clean, one can enjoy full privacy, great offers and treatments, staff at spa professional

Puri Santrian is an OK, but not great,choice. Yes, it's big, well-kept up and rather glitzy. But I can't say that anyone really went out of their way to be gracious or serve us. There is no room service. Hair dryers were'nt supplied, not slippers or anything like that. We got told we couldn't park our rented bikes near the room, but that was after we had already left them there overnight. The worst thing was not ever being able to snag a chair or lounge area near the pol or beach. THe area was VERY crowded during the day.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Renting bikes (on main road was great way to cover the big area of walk way that fronts the whole Sanur Beach front. We bargained and got bikes for 24 hours, so biked parts of 2 days. The hotel is WAY in from road, there's not much to one side of hotel, and things seem rather isolated, so getting out was important.

You are able to walk off site at the beach to restaurants that were less expensive. The welcome drink at the restaurant was not very good. Also, to get the massage required 24 hour advance reservation and we were only there one night so unable to use.
Restaurant Tip : Internet cafe across street had good rates. Other restaurants on beach next to resort had good food and prices
