I have stayed here 4 times & find it to be one of the best values in the area. The food in the restaurant & the pizza is superb while the breakfast buffets are simply outstanding. The staff are friendly & great for helpful tips. I was once again upgraded from a deluxe room to a lovely poolside villa with great landscaping & beautiful decor. Try walking to the uncrowded beach 150 meters away to enjoy simple but very tasty Indonesian fare.
Restaurant Tip:
Poppies Restaurant in Kuta is a wonderful dining experience.

Beautiful hotel with excellent service

Beautifully built hotel with a very comfortable room. The deluxe room which I stayed in is very clean with a very big flat-screen TV. But the TV is a bit too big as it blocks a large amount of the mirror i.e. if you're sitting down to do your make-up, you'll only get about 12 inches of the mirror left. The bathroom is showing a bit of age but overall is very clean. As for the rest of the hotel, it is simply stunning, the restaurant, bar, spas and swimming pool has exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a quiet, convenient and a relaxing holiday.

i like the swimming pool very much. the swimming pool is large and expose of sunshine directly. it is not crowded of people, and free towel is available. the only impressive of visiting bali is the poor english standard, which create difficulty in communication sometimes. but overall impression of visiting bali is nice.
Hotel Feature Tip:
the rooms were pretty average ok if only sleeping bit or tv etc the swimming pool was amazing great to sit back and have drink read a book talk with friends , make great pizza's.the restaurant looked very clean and good decor also very good for breakfast,did not have dinner there but sat back and listen too two very good muzo's singing some classics in their own unique way.all in all not bad for the price.

Lovely hotel & lived up to the photos

i recently stayed here with my 12 year old daughter. the room was bigger than expected with a massive balcony. a large variety to choose from at breakfast and always topped up. the pool area is one of the best ive seen in bali. heaps of sunbeds and a couple of bale's to relax in. beautiful gardens and friendly staff. it was an easy 10 minute walk to centro along the beach. the one negative was the mosque close by and the 5am wakeup call, but i only got my sleep disturbed a couple of times. it hasn't put me off staying at this hotel again and i hope to again in the near future.

Nice Balinese style hotel.......

I stayed here for 4 nights and were pleased at the service which was always courteous and plenty of smiles from the staff which may not be apparent in some hotels. They have good rooms though it could do with a dressing table mirror and more plug points for the hairdryer, camera and mobile phone charger. The hotel is in Tuban and apparently it is a short walk away from the beach but I didn;t really go that way because my itinerary was always full. All in all, good value for money. Just remember don't go to the money changer in front of the hotel to the left - offer you higher rates but are cheaters. They will count money in front of you and you will also count it thereafter. After that, they will take back the money on the pretext of counting it again and that is when with the slip of hand drop some notes into the drawer below them. Don;t ever fall for that.!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
For good views, just do Tanah lot, lake beratan, kintamani and ulu watu. forget besakih

Tropical Paradise in Bustling Third World Setting

The breakfast had an omlette station, pancake griddle, dry cereals, oatmeal and porridge, fresh fruit and salad bar, pastries, bacon, sausage and friend rice dishes.
The rooms were comfortable with nice garden views in the villa. The bathrooms were nice, but bring shower shoes.
The security was tight and the property seemed very safe even at night. There were no dogs on the property. I did see a couple of dogs down the street from the hotel, but they seemed pretty harmless and easy to avoid.
The location was great if you wanted to go to the Discovery Mall or Kuta Beach. Seminyak and Legian were about $5 cab rides away. However, it was extremely far (at least two hours) from Ubud (where most of the tourist attractions were) and the only way to get there was to hire a private driver for at least $40 a day, which added up if you went more than once.
Bali is probably a place you will visit more than once. So you live and learn. It's OK for solo travelers, but as always it's cheaper if you can split the cost with someone. But then it wouldn't be vacation, would it.
