Excellent location close to Kuta but still quiet Great variety of food Clean room Friendly staff

None

The hotel was in a great location very close to central kuta but not in the really busy area. A few minutes walk to the beach which was quiet. The staff were very kind and friendly, welcome drink provided. The breakfast offered great variety and was very good quality. There was a pleasant atmosphere, gardens very pretty and well maintained. Great pool.

Spacious room, clean toilet, hotel just upgrade, near to the beach.

10 min to Kuta beach

a good hotel to stay. price reasonable for the cozy room, very clean and spacious but not worth it if u like to go out and comeback during late nite morning afta club. suitable for family, big swimming pool, frenly staff. distance to shopping mall and kuta bit far to walk. better rent a motorbike or car for travelling.

Villas, Location - quiet but close to the action, pool

Drinks and Spa are a expensive by Bali standards

We stayed in a pool villa and it was beautiful. Hotel grounds are well kept and the staff are all very friendly. We had a couple of minor issues with housekeeping and room service but nothing to bring down the overall joy to the stay. Spa is very expensive at Bali standards and with a couple of places just a few doors down I couldn't justify the cost, however we did go in for our free foot massage on the last day and it is very nicely fitted out in there.

Lovely breakfast buffet Nice Pool area Authentic Bali Feel Walk to Bemo Corner, Discovery shopping Mall on beach, just five minutes away.

None

This is a great small/mid size hotel with a lovely bali feel to it. Very close to lovely beach, which I think is underated, nicer to swim in that Seminyak end, as that can be rough for non surfers like us! Honest staff too, we left some items in the room when we checked out to go to Ubud, and when we came back they still had them for us. Best bali buffet breakfast I've had!

Shopping Tip : Walk along the beach, for just five minutes to Discovery shopping mall and Bemo Corner. Beats sweltering whilst walking along the road!

Staff were friendly and nothing was a problem, pool area was stunning, food was fantastic, the pool villa was beautiful, location was great away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta.

No complaints!

This was myself and my partners first time to Bali and we loved every minute of it. Upon arrival at the Rama Beach Resort we were greeted with a cocktail and informed we had been upgraded to a pool villa. Our room was stunning with large 4 poster bed, spacious bathroom and ofcourse the private pool. Buffet breakfast was included and after reading other reviews before we went I was concerned it wouldn't be very nice. We just loved it! One night we had a barbeque and watched balinese dancers at the hotel. Staff were lovely and always willing to help and stop for a chat. Only a short stroll into Kuta, Rama Beach Resort was perfect for us as we didn't want to be in the heart of it all with lots of teen's and kids. We are already planning our next trip back and although we want to try different hotels, I have a feeling we might just go back to Rama Beach to experience it all over again!

*beautiful garden *Nice pool *Cute bungalows *2 min walking to the beach

*prizes for f&b are quite high *the beach is not really attractive... *hotel amenities were limited (no tootbrush)

We arrived quite late (around 11pm) with the evening flight from singapore. The taxi ride takes less then 10min. We had booked a deluxe room but at arrivel we got a pleasant surprize when we heard we were upgraded to a Cottage... This is not one of their villas but still a nice room with your own little seating area in the garden. People were quite friendly. The place is apparently quite popular with Australians. After two nights, we succesfully negotiated an extra night in our cottage at the same rate (which is actually the rate for a deluxe room during high season). If you want to be close to the action and walking distance to the hustle and bustle of Kuta-city, I would definately recommend staying at this hotel! If you just want peace & quiet for a week and you don't mind the drive (90min. from airport), I would recommend staying in one of the other Rama resorts - the Ramacandidasa Resort & Spa. Enjoy Bali!

Restaurant Tip : More food choice in Kuta main street... hotel is quite limited..

- nice pool - great breakfast buffet - room facilities - good value

- not directly at the beach (but close) - staff not always helpful

We had to wait for about 1h before we got a room. They didn't have a room free in the end, so we got upgraded to a villa. The villa was clean sporting a huge double bed with all the facilities you need (TV, DVD, stereo, aircon, safe, balcony, huge bathroom with seperate shower/bathtube) free water, tea and coffee. Breakfast buffet was huge, but better arrive on time. We were on time, but in the middle of our breakfast the food got removed from the buffet without prior notice. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

The pool was always clean, beautiful, inviting and at the perfect temperature. Staff were extremely friendly. The surrounds were always clean and fresh flowers were used every day to decorate the outside of the hotel.

The bathroom didn't feel very private from the rest of the room. When the light was on inside the bathroom, you could see in to the window. Enough to make me feel uncomfortable when someone else was also in the room. And at one end, there was just a blind instead of a window. In house movies instead of Foxtel would've been appreciated. Most channels were in a different language or subtitled and there was no program to know when shows would start and finish.

I went to Bali for the very first time in September. I was only there for 4 days, but managed to fit heaps in. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Rama Beach Resort & Villas. The best feature of the hotel was the pool area. It was always clean and inviting and always at the right temperature. The outside bar area was always relaxing and the pizzas rocked! And they served food until 23:00 which was great if you got back late after a long walk on the beach. We were also able to take our own bottle of alcohol down to the outside bar area - we were not pressured in to only purchasing the hotel's drinks. Every evening we walked just a couple of minutes to Kuta beach to watch the sunset - just gorgeous! The highlight at breakfast every morning was having a made-to-order fresh omelette - yum! The orchid collection in the gardens was stunning!

Travel tip : Kuta beach was just a short stroll away. Very handy to watch the sunset. Especially after a long day sight seeing or shopping. Very refreshing to be able to just duck down to the beach and finish off the day with the sunset.

I have stayed in the villa and deluxe rooms and they are extremely nice and modern. Good pool, very helpful staff and significant savings for bookings tours through hotel..

I have also stayed in a superior room and while it is satisfactory it is old and the bathrooms in particular need to be renovated.

If you want to be away from the noise and buzz of Kuta or for safety reasons this is a good place to stay. It is a 25minute walk to Kuta and 35 to Legian or a $1.50 taxi. Numerous and satisfactory $5 massages places nearby. Internet cafes close and also a couple of supermarket places for drinks or snacks. Airport 5 minutes from hotel in non peak.

attitude of staff is good.

Bath room and sanitary is not clean.

We stayed at this hotel only to leave our baggage to spend time untill midnight flight to leave Bali using pool and spa out side of this hotel. But the bath room and sanitary is not clean. Additionaly, surprisingly the color of water which come from shower nozzle is yellow! The attitude of staff is not bad. When we check in I told them the necessary to check out in midnight. Then they kindly proposed us to pack breakfast for the flight even if we do not take it in next morning and not be in there.

Hotel Feature Tip : When we asked staffs about the distance to the airport by walk, they recommended to take cabs. But by car it took only 5 minutes. When I asked routes from hotel to the airport to several local taxi drivers before, they kindly told me without aspect having questions. I am still wondering about the possibility...

Spacious room and beautiful pool for relaxing. Worth the money, comparing the price with others luxury hotel in Kuta.

Close location to airport, resort feel

all good

My stay at the Rama Beach Resort was without problem, the checkin was quick and efficient with a welcome drink, was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a courtyard suite which had a large bathroom (separate shower and bathtub), had lunch in the restaurant which overlooked the pool so nice surroundings, elected to have dinner at nearby Tuba beach which is a short walking distance, an all round excellent experience

Restaurant Tip : The resturants at Tuba beach are a short walking distance, these tend be fine dining and high priced, not ideal for families

Nice Staff, Good breakfast, Great location, Quiet, Nice pool, Cute balcony

Bathroom could have some updates

I didn't put a high hope when I booked this hotel, because it was totally my second choice. I gave it a try because of the decent reviews and lower price. Then when I arrived, I realise the choice was prefect! This hotel is very closed to Kuta beach and yet doesn't have the Kuta crowd. The pool was lovely, staff was nice. The only complain I could have is the bathroom is a bit old, need some updates.

Love the room, the bathroom & the swimming pool!

Breakfast can be improved

We booked a deluxe room, & was pleasantly surprised to find out that we were given a pool villa instead ;) The room was spacious, the bed huge, the canopy a nice touch, and the private pool was such a delight! I love how big the bathroom is with separate cubicles for shower & toilet. The atmosphere of the hotel/villa is really great. We love the swimming pool area. It's lively & relaxing at the same time....really great for family vacation! Our unit is a bit far from the lobby/pool area though...so walking back to the room at night alone can be quite scary ;) but otherwise, the villa is really nicely landscaped. Breakfast is the usual asian/western spread...but not fantastic at all. Staffs we met were all friendly & helpful. Our only gripe is the location of the hotel. It's in Kuta, near (by taxi to Kuta Centre) but walking there is quite far, especially since we have kids.

Travel tip : My husband found 3 massage parlours near our hotel, and got an hour's full body massage for only Rp50,000, which is really cheap & good! The hotel also has a spa centre, but it charges Rp 250-350,000 for a 60-90 mins massage. ;)
