Very nice location direct at the water front with it's own privat artificial sandeach. Quiete and good for a relaxing time. Very good value for money.

Just minor comment: The bath room was clean and everything was working but could benefit from a reneovation

The hotel is located directly at the waterfront ad the end of a small street. Therefore it is quite and you can enjoy the sound of the waves when lying on beach beds loacted at the artificial sand beach. There was everything available what we were expecting - restaurant, pool, spa. There is a small shop opposite of the hotel and a diving centre direct beneath the hotel. Walking distance to the town centre is a little far but some of the restautrants offer free pick-up and return service.

Restaurant Tip : Although the food at the hotel restaurant is good and not to expensive I would recommend to test the restaurants in the town. Some of them offer free pick-up and return service

Good view of ocean from restaurant and pool area. Service is adequate. Rooms are neat and spacious.

Expensive for average quality resort, room service food not so good, bathroom is tiny and old.

Ok resort. Nothing special considering the price per night. Dive shop is adjacent so it's very convenient for divers. I stayed for 3 nights and found a better resort just adjacent to this one at similar cost.

Restaurant Tip : Food is ok but ocean view is terrific.

nice compound, good breakfast, nice swimming pool, quiet location

no direct access to the beach, a bit outside of Candidasa, not convenient to reach, other restaurants in the evening

The Hotel is right next to the sea a little bit before Candidasa. From the main road one take a small street towards the sea front to reach the entrance of the hotel. The location is very peaceful and quiet. Next door to the hotel compound you will find a well organized dive base with well maintained equipment and friendly dutch staff. The breakfast buffet in the hotel is nice arranged and more than sufficient in the morning. It would be nice to have little more variations for breakfast at different days. Food and drinks inside the hotel are a little more pricy than in other venues along Candidasa, but its not extraordinary much more. To reach Candidasa and its venues, most of the Restaurants offer a free shuttle service. But as long as you do not know which place to go, you have to arrange transport by the hotel, and you have to pay. All together the hotel left a positive impression, clean, quiet and well organized.

Travel tip : ATM!!! ATM are not easy to find in this part of Bali, Candidasa do not have a ATM which accept international cards. Next ATM is about 20 minutes drive away from Candidasa

Swimming Pool Yoga Lesson Price

Beach not very nice Outside Candi Dasa, only one free shuttle

We stayed at the rama for 2 nights and enjoyed it. The swimming pool is very nice and the views of the garden into the beach are awesome. The restaurant is in a good location right at the beach and the breakfast buffet is good. They have various activities. We enjoyed the morning yoga lessons.

Nice swimming pool, very clean water and towels. The staffs are nice and always keep smile.

A bit far from the airport.

Me and my wife both enjoyed the Ocean sea view and the relaxing enviroment there. Especially the swimming pool. The facilities are clean and tidy. We took a lots of nice photos inside the hotel. But this hotel is quite far from town & the airport so i may suggest to rent a car is more convenient for dining around the Candidasa area.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There are some sightseeing points around this area. But i may suggest that rent a car for couple or family because it's need a certain distance to the near by resturant and the local people are very willing to help.

no beach, out in the nothing, expensive offers, no beach

the resort is nice, but there is not much to do, than sitting there and enjoy the pool. food is not so special and very expensive. maybe great for divers, but very bad for just a holiday. the manager is very unfriendly. we booked 7 days, but escaped after 14 hours.

Nice hotel in Balinese style.

No descending to the ocean.

Good hotel made in Balinese style. I expected the hotel to be family or/and romantic with rather young contingent. But in reality the most hotel guests were presented by families with small children and by rather old couples (near 60 years old). Hotels facilities were good, thought prices in SPA were overestimated (even more that 2 times more then in the town). Rooms were clean, the most impressive was a huge bad (the largest we seen during our Bali trip). The hotel is situated on the seaside, has a fantastic sea view, but no beach and even no way to the beach. The last I evaluate as a minus. All the rest was perfect.

Restaurant Tip : 5-minute walk to the nearest restaurant.

Restaurant and pool

No beach

This is a perfect place to lie back and chill. The hotel is built right on the edge of the ocean, with waves constantly crashing against the sea wall. The pavilion-style restaurant actually projects out above the sea, with waves breaking in front of open windows but never quite spraying inside: A wonderfully dramatic backdrop while eating some wonderful meals. The staff are simply wonderful - nothing is too much effort. The pool is spotlessly clean, as are the rooms. Beds are enormous and inviting, furnishings tasteful and the air con quiet and efficient. Candidasa itself has little to recommend it, but the hotel is so enjoyable you probably won't care.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Nearby the Aga village of Tengannan is in walking distance. There's a bakery half-way there to take refreshment. Also, Ujung is well worth a visit.

Very nice view facing the sea. Very nice pool and enough pool chairs that you can relax and enjoy the sun. DVD player is available in the room. You can either rent the DVDs from the reception or buy loads of DVDs in Kuta/Legian before heading to Candidasa.

Very far away from Kuta (about 90mins away). The entrance to the hotel from the main road is about 100 meters, beware of stray dogs (lots of stray dogs roaming at night) along the road to the hotel's main entrance. Lighting in the room is a bit too dark and gloomy. The color scheme of the floor and bath tub is not too appealing. Although it's facing the sea, but there's no sandy beach which you can run or play around. Swimming in the sea in front of the hotel is quite dangerous.

The hotel provides a nice and very quiet environment for relaxing, far away from the busy and crowded Kuta. Surrounding of the hotel area is like a garden. To move around Candidasa, you will need to either hire a taxi or rent a motorcycle. Beware of the motorcycle renters, do not pass your passport to them, just pass them your normal ID instead. You must bring along your driving/motorcycle license when you're driving the motorcycle. Motorcycles can be rented at 60,000 rupiah. The buffet breakfast selection is quite good. Do enjoy the view of the sea while having your breakfast. It's also nice to have drinks during the night at Garpu (restaurant at Rama Candidasa), overlooking the sea and enjoy the sea breeze as well as the sound of the waves.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Have to visit Pasir Putih (White Sand) beach, which is about 10 mins away from the hotel (with motorcycle). The beach is still far away from any commercial development compared to other beaches in Bali.

The swimming pool and lounge area is attractive and well managed. The restaurant adjacent is open on one side making it integral with the pool area. The cooking was good and breakfast excellent with a wide and generous selection of foods.

Simply put, theres no beach associated with the resort.

Very good for divers as the diving club is next door. There are restaurants in the vicinity about ten minutes down the road in the main town area. Its not easy to walk to the town as the sidewalks are bad and the local road very busy. The lack of beach is unfortunate and to make things worse there are huge concrete groins protecting the remaining beaches to prevent erosion. If you visit this resort make sure to take a bus or taxi the 5km journey to the "White Sand Beach" which is very beautiful. A boat can take you there from the lagoon too. The rooms are good the spa probably excellent but I didn't use it, service OK. For some reason the electrics in our room were playing up and caused outages but these were repaired for us quite quickly. The TV had no English channels. There was a performance by two young girl dancers at dinner which added a touch of exotic to the experience but overall the hotel was very western, meaning it was difficult to feel that we were still in Bali. This resort would not be out of place in Europe.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take a bus or taxi or boat the 5km journey to the "White Sand Beach".

Lovely garden settings, very peaceful. Great views from the pool.

More variety at breakfast.

We stayed 3 nights at Rama Candi Dasa. We found the resort to be clean, the gardens and pool area were well maintained. The rooms were very nice and well kept by housekeeping with the bed being turned down each night. All staff were helpful and friendly. Would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a quiet restful time.

Lovely room. Amazingly comfortable LARGE bed. Charming and helpful staff. Lovely swimming pool. Excellent food.

Bathroom old and tired. Needs new bath and new loo. Because water's very hard, plastic baths always look dirty. Only Bali wine in restaurant for first three days- a bit like drinking vinegar. Then, apparently, a shipment came in. No beach - a disappointment. Very windy when we were there.

We enjoyed our stay - once we had got used to the dirty looking bath (it was not dirty, just old and tired). There was no beach - but, then, the sea is very rough, probably not great for swimming. Very, very quiet. We loved that. A bit off the beaten track. Perhaps the hotel should provide a shuttle bus into the town, or something! The only way to get about was by hired car - expensive! Not the place to go if you want to sightsee - too far away! Ideal if you want peace and quiet, to just chill out.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You have to hire a car to get about. Do NOT hire through the hotel, but go out and get a man locally - much cheaper. Go into Candi Dasa for evening meals - excellent and cheap restaurants.

Nice hotel, nice pool area with excellent seaview.

Out of Candidasa village, no beach, my seaview room was a bit outdated.

Rama Candidasa is a good hotel, with nice characteristics for a reasonable price. Since the hotel is built on a small cliff, it is directly on the sea but you can not access it - but the swimming pool is big and has a beautiful seaview. The hotel is out of Candidasa town, which ensures peace and quiet, but advises for transport if you intend to go in town (the walk is long and not advisable in the dark because there is no walking platform along the road).

Restaurant Tip : Try out the excellent Vicent's restaurant in Candidasa downtown. Book in advance for a table in the beautiful inner garden.

Rooms were gorgeous - staff friendly - great views.

Don't think there was one. (Don't BYO to GARPU. It's 100,000 IR; the wine itself over there doesn't even cost that much!)

Loved the Rama Candidasa and we would definitely stay there again. The view from the hotel was magnificent - the staff were very helpful. They had free shuttle buses to and from the hotel everyday which was fantastic into the main area of Candidasa. The spa there was a lovely experience. The restaurant had fabulous food and cocktails the hotel was kept in great condition. Rooms were fixed up twice a day (they would neaten your room if you went out of the hotel for dinner in the evenings). We loved it there.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Go to Blue Lagoon for snorkelling; we saw millions of different and gorgeous fish! (White Sands give a miss, very busy and the sand is...black!)
