Great location - conveniently located to the beach, restaurants, markets and shops. Beautiful hotel complex within - lush greenery and lovely water features throughout.

TV and DVD player could be updated; Fan in porch would have been nice.

We stayed in the Poolside Cottage at the Ramayana Hotel. It was absolutely delightful and worth the extra money. The Cottage we stayed in was very romantic and consisted of the bedroom (complete with 4 poster bed), bathroom, separate lounge (with study) and a lovely porch surrounded by lush private garden. Very private and quiet. The air conditioning worked really well. The service was excellent - no matter how many showers we had a day - there were magically new towels awaiting us and the room was always clean. Our package included breakfast and afternoon tea. If we weren't at afternoon tea - someone would ring to remind us. Breakfast and afternoon tea were both very enjoyable - although after a few days it did get a bit repetitious. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The Hotel is very aesthetic with water features throughout. The design was such that even though the dining and pool areas were open - there always seemed to be a cool breeze coming through. The location of the hotel was perfect for us. Away from the busy "Poppies Lanes" - but close enough to walk there. So close to the beach, markets, large shopping malls, massage places, restaurants, shops, etc. We would not hesitate to return to the Ramayana.

Shopping Tip : Some of the massage shops down the road were just a sgood as the hotel and a tenth of the price. Just depends on the person - not the place.

Friendly staff. Relaxing quiet pool area .beautiful gardens.

Do not push the button on the back of door knob to your unit. You will lock yourself out.

Very friendly and pleasant and easy to deal with staff. Good clean room but maybe the bathroom was a little bit small, but then who lives in the bathroom. Always a good sense of relaxation and security in this hotel. Great pool and outdoor bar area. The restaurant for buffet breakfasts (included in price), dinners and drinks was also very very good. I will have no hesitation in staying here again. A great location. A great place to stay.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Bima tour and travel about 40 metres from the hotel are great for the out of town tours.

Loved the decore of the room and nice gardens. Very cental and all the staff were very courteous.

Breakfast buffet was a little basic but quality was good

Our stay was short but we were impressed with the staff and decore of the deluxe room. I'd like to see the higher grade rooms and how they present because the deluxe room was very impressive. The location is very central yet you don't hear the noise of the traffic. I'll revisit this very quaint hotel on our next visit and book with Agoda again as well. *the hotel is great if you want something close to town but not to close that you get all the noise. *relaxed atmosphere.

None

We only came to Bali for a 4 day weekend to unwind and relax so we spent alot of time at the resort. the rooms were really comfortable and clean with a huge bed, nice seating and a balcony. the bathroom was a little small but had everything we needed including a bath (deluxe room.) I embarrassingly got sick (in no way caused by the hotel) in the hotel room and rang room cleaning to change the bedding and they were very fast, kind and professional. the sports bar opens onto the street so it is very good to sit and people watch. breakfast offers a really good spread which has daily changes such as pastries and treats and pancakes or French toast. the main pool is really nice and deep but not really that large in diameter so you feel like you are surrounded by people if it is busy.... but there is another nice pool next to the restaurant if you want a change in scene. over all I really enjoyed staying at this hotel and would recommend it to a friend.

Hotel Feature Tip : the high tea the hotel offers in the afternoon is amazing. the dvd shop across the road is good and there are 2 convenience store next the the hotel.

Rooms clean, close to everything

On a major intersection

Normally stay in up Market hotels when travelling to Bali as what you pay is what you get when chosing a hotel in Bali. As this was a quick trip to Bali we picked this hotel for it's position. What a plesant suprise the rooms were clean and service was good, highly recommend for the good central hotel.

Nothing

The hotel was well located and given the closeness to Kuta Square it was still quiet. The staff were excellent and always remembered you. The security staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were kept very clean and the gardens and surrounds well looked after together with the 2 swimming pools. I would expect to pay a little less than Aust$110 for the room if I book more in advance next time.

nice pool clean rooms sun beds and lounges around pool

slight problem with reception

we enjoyed out stay at the ramayana. the rooms were great especially out first night in the new wing (2nd night we were moved to a double room (at our request) but it was in the old building and not wuite as nice and no lift. both rooms were clean and well presented. this hotel has 2 great pools with very comfortable sun beds and relaxing lounges beside the pool. its in a good location just meters from kuta square and right on katika plaza.we had a problem with reception at ramayana. we aasked for a double room and on check in were told it wasnt available for the first but we could move into a double the next day. they asked us to move out of our room by 11am and the new double room would be ready at 1pm. when we tried to get the room at 1pm we were told the the other people in the room had asked for a late check out and the room would now be ready at 7pm. so from 11am till 7pm we had no room. the area around ramayana is nice, but all the resturants are quite expensive compared to other parts of kuta.

all good except that sofa with bugs. Thanks for the Public relation staff who gave me my bday cake free.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : go to beach early in the morning when the water is up and see the beutiful waves.

good value for money, nice restaurant, fairly good location, nice staff

the restaurant is outrageously expensive, compared to the indonesian standards.

This hotel is located in the central area of Kuta, close to the street with all the bars, clubs, and restaurant (and with the heaviest traffic, too). Despite being so close to the most lively area in Bali, soundproof windows work great. Every room has its own small balcony. Rooms are pretty spacious and neat, but don't expect anything particularly fancy. All in all, this is a good 4 star hotel, and I would consider it if I happened to be in Kuta again.

Nightlife Tip : Bounty club, in Legion street

nice swimming pool area clean good location friendly staff

anonymous hotel expensive restaurant

My stay at the Raymayana hotel was over all satisfactory. Rooms are fairly big (something like 20 square meters excluding the bathroom) and clean. All rooms have balcony. The surrounding streets are noisy and busy, but soundproof windows do a great job. Breakfast is very good. The hotel restaurant is also good, but prices are simply outrageous if compared to other hotels. All in all, I think that this hotel is great for a nice, pleasant and comfortable stay, but if you want something unforgettable you should look somewhere else.

the swimming pool with bar

full of Ozzie peasants

The resort is nice, we had a room on the ground floor directly looking on to the swimming pool. The staff can help you to book trips. the location is quite bad if you're looking for night life or good dining and the beach isn't very clean. the hotel was overrun with Ozzie peasants.
