For sight-seeing, you will find most taxi drivers can be hired for the day costing about A$40.00 per car which is great value if you are able to share costs with another couple if you choose to.

we were very happy with all aspects of this hotel except there was not free wifi available. all the staff tried to please and seemed happy doing their job. whatever we did or where ever we went at the hotel we were made welcome and overall we had a very pleasant stay. we would recommend this hotel and will stay there again on our next visit. thanks to all staff

Beautiful hotel, loved the location

Great start to my trip although I was a little put off by the mass of Aussies all roaring at the football on the big screen directly under my balcony, luckily it was all over fairly early. My room was lovely, very clean bathroom and plenty of amenities. I couldnt get much in the way of English speaking programs on my tv, so didnt really use it (there was a dvd player). Gorgeous grounds looked after lovingly. Restaurant was beautiful and looked special at night when they surround the pool with candles, very romatic. The day spa was way too expensive for me. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend.
Shopping Tip:
Go out the front of reception and go to your right, on the corner of Jalan Legian is the best and cheapest leather shop with really beautiful and amazing stuff for men and women, I shopped around and this was the best place and the guy 'Rudi' was lovely and not pushy at all.

hotel looks tired, breakfast mediocre nothing out of the blue,
service was commendable. kuta's more of a backpackers' delight with no frills cheap thrills, hotel/villas amenities and service will definitely be better in nusa dua if you are looking for a lil luxury and panaromic beach view at the comfort of yr balcony

if you decide to book at the ramayana make sure you room is not above the sports bar, it can get a little noisy but not a great concern. i have a 15yr old girl and a 13yr old boy and they loved it. food great, pool area relaxing and well serviced by pool staff.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
White water rafting a must. if you go to the monkey forest make sure you hide glasses, wallets, hats or any thing that you value they are prone to stealing things. Also you must go to Jimmys bar on the beach it is near the big Turtle conservation center. great blokes ( funny ).
