Excellent beach location, beautiful surroundings and grounds, very pleasant staff The room was adequate but nothing special. I would suggest dining elsewhere as the food was unimaginative, rather plain and repetitive. Sanur Beach hotel is wonderfully well located on a long sandy beach. There is plenty to do, lots of kites flying, and boating options. The water gently laps at the beach but you can see and hear the surf pounding the reef a few hundred yards off shore. The pools are fine and the grounds well tended. The staff quite pleasant. The room I stayed in was rather drab and warm at night as it seems the ac was either turned down or off at night. The food was the biggest issue. It was rather simple and repetitive in the main restaurant. There are some choices though and I recommend the BBQ grill restaurant nearest the beach. Good grilled seafood.

Good swimming pools.
Close to the main kite boarding area Too big to provide any real atmosphere.
Western food and drink prices.
We were given a twin room for a 'couple' booking Quite nice hotel, but nothing special. We stayed in the one of the Garden view rooms. The 'view' is of a kind of court yard ares with trees and grass. Some guests are All inclusive. We were not and found the drinks expensive and made for quite cheap spirits. For extra you can watch evening performances at the hotel. Some looked quite good, bu if you are on a budget there are a number of cheap local restaurants on the beach itself. 'Towel Reservation' is rife by the pool - one day saw all seats with towels but less than one-five actually occupied. Not the fault of the hotel but annoying nonetheless.
Kite boarding school next door was really good
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you are here for diving then be careful. Currents in Bali can be very strong and there are some very poor dive operators. Do not attempt Sunfish dive unless you are at least Advanced Open Water (depth will be at least 25m with strong current)

Disability room, ramps, nice pools, good food, good service. Some maintenance needs to be done in some areas. My friend has a disability and they put him up in a disability room and provided a wheel chair. They also made special arrangements for his 60th birthday which made it really memorable. We loved our room and the facilities as well.
Restaurant Tip : Great service for our birthday guest.

Begining to show its 35 yr age Sanur Beach is a very large hotel (400+ rooms), it has good facilities however lacks the friendliness that is found at smaller hotels. True to its name this hotels grounds continue onto Sanur beach. During our stay whilst relaxing on the hotel beach and around the pool area we witnessed many sad cases of animal neglect. The Bali street dog problem is an issue here as it is throughout Bali. The local people informed us that the major hotels regularly poison these poor unfortunate animals - rather than taking advantage of the free treatment and sterilisation procedures offered by the various charitable foundations. This perhaps explains why the dogs although obviously straving were reluctant to accept any food offered by us. For further information (and if you wish to help)go to www.yudisthiraswarga.org

As a first time in Bali, my husband and i had a great time. The hotel is beautiful, staff is always ready to help if you need anything, and food is delicious. There's lots of little shops around the hotel and people are very nice. We are already planning our next trip to Bali and staying at Sanur Beach Hotel, that's how much we liked it!!! We've got upgraded to a suite room with beach view and it was amazing!!!
Restaurant Tip : If you like pizza then you have to go to MAGO, just around the corner from the hotel on the main street. As an italian myself i can say they make the best pizza!!!

very large hotel, exceptionally clean, all staff very helpful and pleasant. Food great, special nights very entertaining, felt safe at all times. loved the pools. Room very old, really needs update, no signs, didnt find the second gym and shops until the last day. no out door spa. room facing the front entrance quite noisy early hours of the morning. Our first time in bali and loved it, Sanur beach was the best place to be, we felt safe at all times, the breakfasts was great, plenty of food and variety. The special nights were very entertaining, loved the dancing and food. would next time for a preium room not over looking the front entrance and car park as becomes noisy early morning. Make sure you do a hotel tour first thing, we didn.t and did not no the second gym and shops were there until the last day. reception very good because our flight was not leaving until midnight they aloud us to use the pool etc and then use the showers in the fitness centre before we left for the airport. we had a great time and would go back. Shopping Tip : Mataharas shopping centre, down near Nusa Dua half an hour taxi ride or Hardys about 15 min walk from the hotel or shuttle service running every hour.

slippery tiles at the swimming pools i booked a superior room but like to recommend to spend a little bit more and book a de luxe room. the difference is: more space, a separate shower instead of a shower in a very small bathroom, it is really much better. i am satisfied about this hotel and will for sure come back (in a de luxe room)

Breakfast area the food choice of many reastruants was alway very nice the swimming pool was a great hit for the kids especially to swim up to the bar and get a drink the room was a garden view and very good and clean staff were more than helpful The only thing that annoyed was the guests reserving chairs around pool first thing and possible more chair lounges around pool and their may not facilitate room for this and did not really cause an issue that is the only problem I have Arriving at the airport took a little time to find the driver for airport transfer as their were so many and I asked a couple of the drivers and they quickly helped me find the driver for Sanur Beach Hotel dont be shy to ask Bali people are very helpful and polite and off we went with help for me and my 2 young girls 10 years and a 7 year old into the vehicle arriving at Hotel with greeting orange juice which even the 10 year old enjoyed quickly checked in and portered to our room we were a little hungry and room service was very fast with very tasty club sandwiches great
For the next 7 mornings breakfast was included the breakfast cook cooking omletes and pancakes is so worth it from what you chose to cooking it fresh in front of you is entertaining to say the least and very tasty as well kids loved it and did not feel hungry untill lunch
this is my second holiday to Sanur Beach Hotel and i will be here again next year great place I love it and the kids did not want to leave their best part was the 2 great size swimming pools
Travel tip : Once you leave Hotel you will be confronted to buy shirts etc just tell them you are looking or just no and keep walking good bargins are to be barted always come back with a 1/4 of their price and work them from their to meet at half what they are asking great fun
We bought a photo alburm and because of Banana shin was not allow back into Australia great holiday the first overseas trip for my children fantastic

great value for money staying at this quiet resort. Pleasant staff and surroundings. Their are 4 different restaurants serving different styles of food. Wednesday night they have an excellent seafood night. Very cheap and dine on the beach. If you have young kids, there are 3 pools and also the beach to keep them occupied. Happy hour at the Bamboo Bar is a great way to start the evening. Very cheap!!! Nothing really to write here. We have stayed here for the past four years and really enjoy this hotel. We have made Bali our annual break away for the past 12 years. Location is ideal - close to local shops and excellent restaurants. Kuta is only 20 minutes by taxi if you feel the urge to shop or experience the nightlife in town.
Shopping Tip : If it's your first time to Bali. Don't shop until you check out prices at Matahari stores first. You can get an idea on item prices (often cheaper) then shopping at markets. Better quality and like I said, cheaper and you're not getting ripped off from local shops.

clean, spacious and close to beach. Also restaurants at the hotel serve reasonably priced good food. lobby currently being renovated so temporary lobby is quite far away. We were very happy with the deluxe seaview room. It was clean and spacious., including the bathroom. Good variety of restaurants at the hotel and quality was good and well priced. Easy access to shops outside the hotel. Even though the hotel was close to 90% occupancy, it didn't feel crowded especially around the pool area and the pool was huge. Moreover, there is a second pool at the hotel. Overall, very happy with the hotel facilities. Only problem was air con not on at the gym so was quite humid.

The hotel is located at at a quiet end of Sanur beach and backs onto the beach. It has magnificent gardens and provides a variety of facilities and also provided shuttle services to Kuta and the local supermarket hardys. There wasn't really anything I disliked about this hotel It was my wife's first stay in Sanur and after 9 previous stays in Kuta/Legian she was charmed by the quieter more laid back pace in Sanur. Our room was a garden view room and overlooked a beautiful garden and duck pond. It was clean and the staff were always polite, friendly and very helpful. The hotel has large grounds and direct beach access and was a perfect place to relax and enjoy a change from the hustle and bustle of Kuta/Legian. We really enjoyed our stay and wish we had planned it for the second half of our holiday rather than the first half as it would have been an ideal way to unwind prior to returning home and to work.
Shopping Tip : To stock up on nibbles to go with your duty free or for a shopping trip, take advantage of the hotels shuttle service to Hardys. It is quite a long walk, although taxi services are very cheap if you don't want to be tied to shuttle time schedules

Good location with nice beach.
Pools are also nice. Should have better spread of food for breakfast. My wife and I enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. Beach was walking distance and also the hotel had two fairly large pools. Scenery around the hotel was nice. Only comment is that the variety of food served for breakfast is quite limited and repetitive although I must say the quality of the food was good.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Check out the free-lance tour guides outside the hotel. You can negotiate the price till you are satisfied.

Well the Hotel was functional, lovely grounds and pools! Excellent location, having access to most of Bali. Well...
The room wasnt even cleaned! That had changed the sheets but there was hair and a half used shampoo bottle on the bath tub! I had to demand for our room and bathroom to be cleaned 3 times before i was even feeling clean enough to sleep there! The Sanur Bali beach hotel is situated in a great central location, close to Kuta, Depassar and right near the main Bypass. The Hotel is a little out dated but is has very well maintained grounds and gardens. I would not stay in the rooms again due to the low quality control and cleaning standards they have! We eventually stayed, enjoyed tha pools, but really was not worth the stress we had!
Shopping Tip : When you go shopping at any of the market areas you must always negotiate a price as they start at about 400% higher than the value its actually worth.

Shuttle-service to Hardy warehouse very practical; nice boutiques in the hotel There are no things that I remember and would mention as weakness or "needing improvement" or things I disliked. After landing on Ngurah Rai airport Sanur Beach Hotel was the first place where we stayed during 4 weeks in Bali. For us the hotel was very appropriate to acclamatize and to get used to the temperatures, the humid air and the sun of Bali. We were very happy about the nice swimming pools, the nearness of the private beach and the possibility to have a relaxing sunbath on the beach. We also were thrilled about the absence of all those people that want to sell you their fabric, craftwork and other souvenirs. After a few days and nights in Sanur Beach Hotel we felt in good shape to continue our visit to the wonderfull island.
Shopping Tip : Shops in the hotel have good selection, prices however are not low.
