The hotel grounds are impressive, but its a pity a bit more attention hadn't been paid to the hotel - the bathrooms in particular need a bit of TLC, expect to have a cold shower if you're behind the crowd in the am or pm rush! The food is ok, and the omelette chef does a great job - didn't eat there in the evenings so not sure what thats like. Location - well, the beach is good here, clean and kept tidy but be aware that at low tide the inner reef dries and thus isn't that good. Also be aware that whilst there is an area roped off for swimmers, during our stay jetski's and particularly kite-surfers were using the same space. Its a fair hike into the main part of Sanur, so bring some good shoes or else expect to spend a while walking to/from. Some local places directly outside the hotel (the pub across the road etc) serve good 'robust' food too. Probably the biggest downside was the shear number of (loud) european tourists - spanish, italian, dutch, etc etc - it was european summer hols, but if you're after the more typical demur asian filled hotels, I'd tend to avoid this one over the summer hols.

Pleasant staff, beach location, rooms comfortable

location - a reasonable walk from Bandar Sanur means you'll be taking a fair few meals at the hotel Lifts - only 2 per floor on the main wing, so expect a wait if you're on the top floor. Don't go here if you're trying to escape from European tourists!

We loved this hotel. it was all you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Staff were really friendly. It was my husbands birthday while we were staying with the hotel and they organised a cake which was lovely. The hotel is really nice and clean and rooms are nice.

Has 2 lovely Pools and a very nice spa.

It was hard to get a seat by the pool as other hotel guests would leave their towels out all day on good seats and not bother to actually stay by the pool.

  • Hotel Feature Tip : Right on the beach

Good location but not so nice beach. Guest Rating: 4.2

If you are coming from Kuta/Legian area, it would be good to book your airport transfer/tour/transport with the same company/driver especially if the service/price/ condition of vehicle is good. Otherwise, booking from the in-house travel agent is good as you will be assured of the quality of the tour and price (most tour prices would have included entrance tickets, donations and rental of sarong). I had a bad experience in engaging the services of a taxi driver for my half day tour as he kept hinting to me that his friends had gotten more money from other tourists. Along the way, he kept stopping at petrol station to fill up, saying that the price that he quoted me is too low to make a profit. End of the day, I gave him extra money and terminated his service. To me, once the price is fixed, it should be maintained.

  • Travel tip : Don't bargain too much on taxi or tours. For savings of a few dollars, it's not worth the hassle and energy. Most taxi drivers are not very conversant in English, so if language and communication during tours is very important to you, engage the services of a proper travel agent and accredited tour guide.

The ambiance is nice here- typical Balinese. The best thing about this hotel is the location and ease of getting around the restaurant/shopping area of Sanur. The room was clean/nice.

  • Restaurant Tip : There is a very good Italian restaurant called Massimo (or Mossimo)- not sure of the spelling. If you go out of the hotel to the main street and turn right (going North)- and keep walking for at least 10 minutes- up on the left hand side is this very good restaurant.

Thank you for an enjoyable holiday.

  • Restaurant Tip : There are two great eating spots on the main street - La Casa Luna and Jupun restaurants. Worth the experience, expeceptional food and service. Fantastically cheap and safe.

I only found the fully equipped gym on my last day and had already moulded into the "too much drinking and eating because Im on vacation, to care." But, I will be back to use it. Sanur is no party town so party boys stick to Kuta. Great place for couples

  • Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Hire a push bike and ride up and down the paved track along the beach. There are little cafes for lunch everywhere.

The management took action when some 'quests' blocked the chairs by putting towels on them without using them for hours.
