Good location - easy walk to the beach and local eating places and markets.
Room air conditioning was poor - especially overnight when you need a good nights sleep after busy days sight seeing and shopping. Didn't get below 24C. We moved rooms (we had 2 rooms for our family) and it was the same problem in all the rooms we had. We were in the older rooms - not yet renovated so not sure what the air con is like in the new rooms and not sure if a US$25 per room per night make the hotel competitive ?
The hotel has a business focus (lots of conferences while we were there). The pool is OK for the early morning or late afternoon dip. It is long (100+ metres) but narrow - not as good as the resort type pools where you could spend all day at the pool. Service from the staff was excellent - always friendly and polite and as helpful as they can be. Would consider this hotel again but for a shorter stay as we would move around Bali more than we did on this trip.

Great service; responsive to needs is promptly changed us to a non smoking room with air conditioning that was cool; unlocked the window upon request; made "muesli" especially for us every morning (which consisted of raw oats and grated apple but the gesture was very sweet)
The spa and sauna were lovely.
Felt the advertising was misleading is the slide and other kids attractions were at a sister hotel; and not onsite. The daily activities were mostly canceled also. I felt it would have been useful to know that gym shoes were required to use the fitness center.
I asked a staff member about donating clothing to disadvantaged kids in Bali and instead of offering suggestions; the staff member "helped me out" by picking over the clothes and taking about half; which, upon reflection, I felt was out of line. I later found an orphanage and gave the rest directly to the children who were deeply appreciative.
Great service; responsive to needs is promptly changed us to a clean, non smoking room with air conditioning that was cool; unlocked the window upon request; made "muesli" especially for us every morning (which consisted of raw oats and grated apple but the gesture was very sweet)
On the flip side; I felt the advertising was misleading as the main reason we booked here was for easy access to the kids club facilities including the giant slide. This was located at a nearby hotel and while not impossible to access; we only visited once as it was too inconvenient. This would have to be the most negative thing I have to say about it. The leak in the ceiling was promptly fixed after nearly slipping and landing flat on my face. I was very lucky as it could have been very ugly and uncomfortable trip home!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Free Wi-Fi across the road at Dunkin Donuts! Fantastic atmosphere and can stay as long as you like.

Kind staff, many facilities, quiet place.
Hotels location is good, but beach area is far, you need to go by bus-shuttle. Hotel staff are very kind. The hotel has many facilities: good swimming pool, big fitness centre, spa and little sauna, couple restaurants and bars, souvenir shop...a breakfast is various and good quality. Room and bed are ok, clean and comfortable, air-condition is ok. There is internet option. Generally, the hotel is very good, I recommend it for all.

conveniently located,
frequent shuttle service to beach and shopping,
gorgeous common areas / lobby,
attentive, responsive staff,
great housekeeping services.
rooms are in great need of remodeling.
The hotel has an absolutely gorgeous and spacious lobby area, a nice and large pool, and beautiful common areas. A couple of restaurants are in the hotel so you need not venture out too far if you need a night in. It's a few steps from the beach, as well as a handful of local / more tourist oriented restaurants, as well as a few mini markets and a currency exchange. Very convenient place. They also have a shuttle service to their own beach (ie. beach chairs and towels), and the major shopping street which runs very frequently. Finally, the daily breakfast went until 10:30am for late risers, and had an incredible selection of breakfast / lunch food.
Although the common areas are gorgeous, the room left a little to be desired. The hotel is huge, but all of the nonsmoking rooms were taken (holiday rush, probably). Our smoking room didn't smell much like smoke, but it definitely needed an overhaul. There was a crack in the middle of the bathtub, badly patched, as well as tremendous water stains on the ceiling. You get what you pay for, I guess. The furniture was relatively new and fine, and the very vigilant housekeeping staff kept everything very clean. Don't expected fresh sheets daily... more like weekly.
Nightlife Tip : Sanur is truly a quiet place; it's very pleasant if you're tired of the ceaseless twenty-something partying and ready for a lot of beach plus beach novel. But don't expect to find a whole lot to do in Sanur. Fortunately, it's centrally located so that easy day trips can be made.

Nice pool, big smiles everywhere, clean, big rooms
Bit noisy but just because of the kids - so nothing really bothering
While travelling on my own i just wanted a nice hotel a bit sheltered - not in the middle of trouble Kuta. And it was just that - a nice place to relax. But getting bored in the evening wasn't happening. The beach close by, markets and free shuttle bus to the "happening" places made the stay perfect! Not to mention the fab Spa and gym.
All in all a very good hotel for that money!
Hotel Feature Tip : Lots of weddings were hold at the hotel. Great opportunity to witness some balines festival for free. ;-)

Location, staffs, swimming pool.
The location of the hotel, Sanur, is ideal for families, and people looking for a quieter beach than Kuta.. It's located about 500m. away from the beach, but there runs a free shuttle bus at every hour to take you to a private beach (it takes about 15minutes). The room was clean, bathroom was a little run down, the food is typical, if you're looking for a budget resort hotel to stay, it'd be good... but not much of a Balinese character..

Good price.
Helpful staff.
Beach close to hotel was always too dirty.
uncomfortable stay at times due to below average condition of hotel.
Ok for the price, helpful staff.
Beach close to hotel was always too dirty.
Uncomfortable stay at times due to below average condition of hotel. In hindsight, it would have been much better to have paid a little extra and stayed at a higher standard hotel.
If budget is an issue, then this hotel is adequate for the price paid. Agoda was the most competitive price we found for this hotel.

Nice swimming pool, but the hotel is not for young people, more for family's.
Bad service in the restaurant of the hotel.
The hotel is near KFC, that is a good thing. The service of the chinese restaurant was very bad, we had to wait to long for our food. The upgrated rooms were very nice, with a bath in the open air. Do not take a taxi from the hotel, there are taxi's available near the hotel for a much cheaper price. The beach near the hotel is lovely, and almost 5 minutes walk.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Hire a private taxi driver, and he will take you around the island.

good value for the money, regarding installations
too far from the action (Kuta city)
they start making noise cleaning the rooms at 8am !!
Nice Hotel, but if you want to have fun, go to bars and restaurants walking, surf in the beach, you definitively have to go to Kuta. It is close to Sanur beach which is nice, but is too quiet.
Be careful, because the picture of the room has nothing to do with the one you get.

I would not choose this hotel again as there are other hotels on the beach with much more ambience and less money.
Travel tip : Fine for one night coming or going to airport.

I woudn't recommend this hotel if you wanted to surf there are good hotels in Kuta.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you want to surf get the the company to pick you up from the hotel and drop you in Kuta this cuts taxi costs.

I would choose this hotel if you want to stay in a nice place away from Kuta beach. Easy to get around from here, and enough restuarants and shops etc around to suit.
Restaurant Tip : Great places to eat acroos the road.

Stylish feel. Stock the bus on a regular basis (to the beach) is a delicious restaurant by the pool
Many mosquitoes, the infant's attention is tired of the daily buffet
Pool-side restaurant is delicious! Rest assured that the staff of the Japanese women.
Nightlife Tip : Surprisingly inexpensive and delicious restaurants in front of the hotel.
