Lovely hotel with great facilities

my wife and i recently stayed at the semara resort in seminyak bali and highly recommend the hotel. the resort itself is in a great location within easy walking distance to fantastic restaurants, shopping and beach.
the semara has great facilities, very nice rooms and the staff are extremely helpful and efficent.

Our booking and all communication with the hotel prior to our arrival was seemless. The resort catered for all our needs and the location was close to everything - ideal for two girls travelling together.
Restaurant Tip:
A stone throw away from great restaurants - casual to fine dining. Great shops located near the hotel and the main shopping area in Seminyak a 10-15 min walk away!!!

lovely hotel with good service
The room is spacious with a private balcony and close to the pool.

i really liked the welcoming drinks - very refreshing after the flight and taxi ride! the resort itself is considered quite small in the locality - with no access to the beach and no formal restaurant. however, the staff are friendly and nice and gave good tips on where to eat. The beach is really within walking distance and close to pub area. overall, it offers good value for money !

Semara is without doubt the best place we have stayed in oversea. Everthing about the resort was great. If i were to say anything negative, i would say more fresh fruit & better service at breakfast

The Semara is beautifully presented, with extremely lovely and helpful staff. 'Somehow' I was upgraded to a superior pool-side room and I would highly recommend this if you can afford it. It's in a secluded part of the hotel where it's more peaceful (away from the main pool) and the room is much bigger than the standard. The only problem is it's right alongside the lane that goes down to Potato Head - and if there's an event on the noise from the lane (generally people leaving making a lot of noise, horns beeping etc) - this can be annoying. Earplugs didn't help. If you're out late though then it shouldn't be a bother and of course its a short walk home.
Hotel Feature Tip:
This is the perfect hotel for relaxation - and/or a great family holiday for kids (the kids club is great). There's a woodfire pizza oven near the pool and happy hours every day from 3-5pm. I could happily have stayed in the resort all day and not needed to go into Kuta. Seminyak is a less busy area but still close for all your shopping needs.

The Staff, and in particular the management team were excellent, the resort was spotless, and this being our 20th visit to Bali staying at many more overrated resorts, the Semara was by far the best! Well done!

Arrived at midnight,received a welcome drink,golf buggeyed to our room just 200m from reception,had been upgraded in our room without asking or cost,friendly staff,good warm pool,great having breakfast on "The Deck" watching the road (Rhonda)and all its passengers,not big, not small, great ambience!
