Nice gardens, location.

Old, run down, rooms need to be refurbished.

The hotel is in dire need of a complete refurbishment, my room was terrible, parquet flooring lifting up, leaking fridge, faulty shower, internet didn't work...very poor. Breakfast cost very expensive, outrageous! Just outside the hotel at Cin Cin American breakfast, choice of eggs & bacon, fruit juice, coffee, bread basket..cheaper plus free Wi-Fi! I would not recommend the Sofitel to anyone!

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Hire a bike/scooter...absolutely the best way to get around bali.

Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent service.

I am not aware of any areas that need improvement.

Our stay was very nice and we enjoyed the time at the Sofi Tel in Bali. We ate all of our meals at the hotel, restaurants were excellent as was the service. Facilities were clean, staff very helpful, rooms were quiet, had lovely views too. Pools were clean, well kept up, water was warm. Beach front was clean to walk on. Hotel took us into town for shopping and they picked us up too. Staff gave advise about where to shop. Hotel is a beautiful open air lobby.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The hotel staff helped us arrange a day trip to Ubud with a private driver. We were able to see more sites as we were on our own time schedule. It was a long day but very interesting stops.

Excellent hotel, for the great getaway Guest Rating: 10

Excellent resort with its own beach front property. This goes to the top my list for the hotels in Bali, and I've been to Bali a lot!!

None

When I got to the hotel, they said that all rooms are fully booked and they upgrade me the suite villas instead. Awesome!! To me this is excellent, I've had my fair share of travelling misfortunes, where rooms are full and misbooked and that I have to search for another hotel. But their service is excellent, instead of saying " sorry all rooms are full", they upgrade me to the most expensive villas they have for free! The villas are perfect, with your own pools and Hermes toiletries. Plus free Illy coffee and Dilmah teas... just complete my day.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Kudeta the restaurant is just 5 minutes away. If u never been to Bali, then you have to come here and see the view of the sunset. Beautiful!!

Good pools, nice room, good landscaping.

Average quality food, fair distance from external cafes and restaurants, very dirty beach.

Staff at the hotel were always pleasant and helpful. The room was spacious and cleaned daily. Being the holiday season, the hotel was full but owing to its size, did not feel overcrowded. At times there was a strong smell from the sewer/drains system, both at our room and at the restaurant. We found that the food was generally too spicy, even allowing for the fact that we were in Bali. There are some good restaurants within 15 mins walk.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Always make sure taxi/driver has the meter switched on. We were stung at the end of one short journey by the driver who insisted the meter was broken, but demanded a price that we knew was double what is should have been.

Great location, very nice decor and service, friendly staff

Bed too soft

Loved the hotel for its great location. Although a bit far to walk from the main Seminyak strip, by hotel taxi, it cost us just Rp 20,000 to get to nice dining and shopping choices. Room was very nicely appointed and large. Food was reasonably priced and delicious. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend staying here.

Location, dining

Breakfast, aged hotel

My wife and me staied at Sofitel Seminyak Bali Hotel one week from 16 to 23 august 2008. We coose this hotel for is excellent position in the middle of Seminyak nightlife and restaurants(very close there are la Lucciola.Kudeta ang Gado Gado). But the Sofitel itself looks tired, it is an old Balinise main hotel, but needs major reenovations never properly done. Lobby, rooos and swimming pools are out of date. We stayed at room n.360 in the main building, spacious room with very confortable king size bed but looked tiredan old. Breakfast was ordinary but dinin at Stekhouse and Capris was pretty good. Overall hotel staff is polite but whe did not like some guys of the entrance security, they are too invadent, we prefear more privacy. Overall consideration: reasonable confort but old and run down, do not expect 5*

Restaurant Tip : pass hotel swimming pool and walk down the beach to reach Kudeta and La Lucciola, more interesting walk under the stars instead the ordinary taxi ride

From the time I arrived to the time I departed the staff were very pleasant and accommodating in all aspects of service. The rooms very nice and the villas were excellent. The resort is situated well and is within walking distance of some excellent restaurants. The food at the resort was also excellent and very fresh and tasty. Would recommend anyone to stay at Sofitel, Seminyak as it was a very pleasant experience for me.

Villas are stunning and if you can afford them they are the way to go-some have their own lap pools! I noticed room service trays and laundry awaiting collection outside rooms left uncollected for many many hours to all day at times-which didn't help with ants. Certain areas of the property felt rundown and neglected-obvious cracks need to be filled. Main pool does have a small deep end but the majority of the pool is too shallow to be considered a pool designed for adults-which does appear to be the underlining concept of the majority of the property.

The hotel is nearby the beach, which is a public one. The sand is really soft but the water is not very clean and clear enough. But the sunset is unforgettable.

We have had a wonderful stay at Sofitel Seminyak. Highly recommended. The room (standard) is gorgeously furnished, staff members are very attentive and friendly, beautiful garden (complete with very cute real live dragon lizards), first class view of Seminyak beach with stunning picture perfect sunsets. Very central in location (stumbling distance to the clubs in Dhyana Pura, including the gay bars Kudos, QBar and Maxwell).

Are in good repair to the hotel, The hotel is very clean. Not only the usual room, a cottage-style rooms, there was also a kitchen. This is like a house with a garden. There is also a private beach.

Check in is given a lei of flowers during the dry already started the next day, ¢ RIMASHITA do better?

Hotel was very clean. Staff support is also very good. Staff are able to speak a few Japanese, the Japanese had a good talk to you. So, to stay safe in the hotel who are not English at all. The hallway of the hotel in BaliIt flows much easier, over-GOSEMASU the time in a very comfortable hotel. The room is very spacious and was clean. Amenities were well. Among soap. With soap and water to the smell very good, I like. The hotel is in the best hotel I have ever stayed.
