Horrible Bungalow - Bug Infested Nightmare

What can I say......I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
It is more of a home stay than a bungalow and was very poor value for money.
When we arrived the owners were not present and the staff could not speak any English. It took our driver 2.5hrs to find the hotel as signage to hotel is poor and locals are not aware of it. It looks like it is close to the Cliff of Bingin Beach on the map but is set approx. 250metres back in a bug infested garden, the walk down to the beach from the hotel is extremely dangerous and hazardous. The fresh organic fruit for breakfast & plunger coffee was the best attribute of this hotel. Again we were extremely disappointed with this accommodation; it was a real downer to the trip, as last time I stayed in Uluwatu, i thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Travel tip:
Horrible Bug Infested Nightmare & Poor Value for Money.

Great location secluded spot 2min walk to Bingin
Relaxing, Quiet spot great for for couples, families or single that want to relax in luxuary.

Rieri and her team of helpers are very friendly make you feel like you are part of the family and she is an excellent cook!
Walking distance to surf beaches while still having the luxuary feel is a good option for all travelers.
Would recomend.
Restaurant Tip:
Try out the seafood BBQ on the beach on sunset fish, prawns etc caught that day at a cheap price.

very rustic farm like environment, warm people, sumptious breakfast.

very relaxing and calming experience away from Singapore's (and Mumbai's ) concrete jungle! very clean. very friendly hosts, helpful. spacious rooms.
Needs a bit more maintenance, lights were dim in the rooms, and creak doors to the open air toilet area woke up everyone when some one went there at night.
Superbly quiet except dawn onwards when there is a cacophony of roosters from around the neighbourhood.
Sundaram - a Frenchman and Riri and their children made it more a house guests experience instead of the formality of a hotel!
A bit difficult to find, so a good map and directions would be very necessary.
Access to the beach was good, but the beach is for surfers.
Travel tip:
dreamland or new kuta as it is now called is the swimming bathing beach. Padang beach also, but not as good as dreamland or even Bingin beach for bathing. there are rocks and moss at Padang and the beach next to Sundaram Villa. But the surfers love these rocky places!

The owners were extremely accommodating and helpful. The breakfast is exceptional and they also do dinner for you if you book it the day before, as they go and get fresh produce (highly recommended).
Also, ask Rhi Rhi to make you her famous Sundaram Slipper!
It's just a short walk to Bingin Beach, down the cliff where you can have a cheap fresh seafood BBQ.
it was very sad to leave and my partner and I will be back for sure and will recommend this Villa to anyone wanting to go to the area.

Lovely hotel and wonderful people

Our hosts were wonderful and the food was excellent. People staying here need to know that there are no credit card facilitis here and the nearest ATM is a taxi ride away. Taxis are cheap though!
