Swastika Bungalows were clean, tidy and like individual bungalows that were fantastic. The location in Sanur was just perfect. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful. The pool was great and very well maintained. The breakfast staff were friendly and polite. Remembered all the regular guests by name which I thought was very impressive. Staying at Swastika was the highlight of my Bali trip. Thanks for advertising on Agoda.
I had a great stay at Swastika and nothing was a negative at all. The only thing I would suggest is that they change the variety of their breakfast selections - cereals would be nice. Other than that it was great.
Swastika Bungalows is the perfect place to stay in Sanur. Having never come to Sanur before, this was the highlight of my trip. The location is perfect and very central to everything. The staff are super helpful and english speaking. Having then moved onto the Kuta area and a pretty average hotel, I really missed the Swastika! I will recommend it to all my aussie friends who travel to Bali regularly. It was great and I would recommend others to stay there as well.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Hire a driver and head to a little village out of Sanur (I went to Karangasem Sideman). I took a heap of school books, pens and gifts for kids at a village school. Their little faces just lit up when they received their gifts. Some of them had never received anything before. It was very humbling and I suggest everyone should take some stuff and visit a school or orphanage and make a real difference to a kids life! An amazing experience!

Good location in Sanur, as far as Sanur goes (could be a lot of tourest towns). Pool good, price excellent. Breakfast just okay.
Arrived and got offered a room away from the pool - in the back. NASTY. No windows, smelled like sewage, bed broken, small carpets looked like had been out in the river for seasons.
Decent value if you get a room near the pool. The room offered was #12 towards the back.

The room has enough space and has a nice veranda we can relax. The garden is beautiful. Cost performance to the room fee is pretty good. Located in the center of Sanur, it is convenient for shopping.
Some part of bathroom is necessary to restore.
Towels are old.
We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The room has enough space and has a nice veranda we can relax. The garden is beautiful. The cost performance to the room fee is pretty good. Located in the center of Sanur, it is convenient for shopping. We will surely stay there next time.

The staff...most have been there since my first visit in 1990. It's lovely to be greeted as a friend. The rooms, because of the gorgeous garden, are all very private...and cleaned beautifully. It isn't the most glamorous hotel on the strip but it's well-run and well-maintained. You have the choice of two pools...if one is full of people, you generally have the other one to yourself if you want.
For those who care...the bathrooms are original. I find the outdoor mandis in the older rooms quite charming but it can be confronting if you aren't expecting them. They are still clean and everything works...including the hot water.
Swastika Bungalows has been in the same family since it opened. Many of the staff have been there ten or twenty years so it's a joy to be a return guest. All the rooms...old and new...are spotless. The two pools are sparkling and the gardens are maintained constantly...you'll find staff sweeping, trimming and picking up all day long. I've stayed there six times and plan to stay again next year.
Restaurant Tip : If you like eating with the locals, there is a fantastic warung in the same street as Segara Village entrance. Experience authentic Balinese nasi campur and sit and talk with the locals...great fun and great food.

The friendliness and helpfulness by the staff, the general presentation and cleaniness of the complex, quietness two swimming pools, lots of good restaurants within easy walking distance
some fixtures could do with updating or repair
Tucked away from the busy main road the friendly staff greets you when you arrive at the reception and are very helpful. The quietness is amazing as relax beside one of the two swimming pools as there is no traffic noise from the road. The gardens are maintained to a very high standard and beautifully presented. Very easy access to shopping, restaurants or the beach.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : A short stroll down a secured side street to the beach (consulate security in street 24 hrs)or nearby convenience/department store with ATMs

Hotel is like a garden, many trees, many flowers, two swimming pools, and good breakfast. Waiters are very gentle and do their best to make every customers happy. The hotel is close to the sea, many restaurants, supermarkets、and money-exchanger. Room is ok, fan is enough I think. I will be back there next time.
Hotel Feature Tip : I think hotel can organize some party to show something local.

Friendly staff and helpful. Because I was in a room without a refrigerator, they very kindly allowed me to keep things in the bar fridge. Also beautiful swimming pool and on buffet breakfast days, a superb meal with many choices, Indonesian, continental and American styles. Comfortable beds, even in the fan rooms. Gorgeous outdoor bathroom which I love for fresh air.
Some days the breakfast was only basic continental, But you could always order eggs and pay extra which was a good price. Linen was a bit old and discolored.
We stayed at Swastika Bungalows in September 2008 and had a wonderful time there. I look forward to returning soon after travelling to other parts of Bali. It is situated conveniently near the big store where you can get all the supplies you need at a cheap price and not much of a walk home. Transport from the hotel is at good rates and very reliable. The pool is beautiful and not too crowded. Gardens are peaceful and tranquil. A really lovely place to relax.
Travel tip : Directly down to the beach (down the road that has the German Consulate on it) is a great place to hire push bikes, the best way to get around Sanur.

Friendliness of the staff; location; plenty of greenery; privacy of rooms.
Some of the room features a a little tired and need replacing especiaaly towels.
We stayed at the Swastika for two nights in July. The helpfulness and friendliness of the staff was impressive throughout: extra pillows when requested were delivered immediately; prompt, swift and efficient laundry service; arrangements for a very early lift to the airport were most efficient.
Room service from the bar was somewhat idiosyncratic in that a gin and tonic had the gin from one department and the tonic from another resulting in two bills but still a refreshing drink. The rooms are separated and shaded with, in our case, a porch on which we could sit without feeling we were in a goldfish bowl and the shrubs and trees give the whole setting a peaceful atmosphere.
The views over the complex from the breakfast room was most attractive. The continental breakfast was, like so many in Indonesia, somewhat disappointing. Why can't they use the plentiful and cheap fruits more than they do?
All in all a good place to unwind after our trip through Java and Bali, asnd value for money.

Good location, good environment.
Obsolete equipment, especially the bed sheets, towels and toilet.
The location of the hotel is located well away from the beach close to, about 300 meters, the hotel very good environment, there are trees, flowers, for guests from the city to be particularly attractive. Hotel breakfast was not bad, although not many varieties to choose. Particularly bad is the old bathroom equipment and towels, which is very important guests.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Go to the beach as soon as possible, after the hot sun out.

The staff was friendly. It is also early.
I waited in a crowded terrace at the end or they're eating breakfast. I should be made as soon as possible.
Friendly staff, clean swimming pool. For the price I think the room is nice. It was a hot little room with no air conditioning, good fine.

The rooms were large enough and still have room on the bed. Window is not large so much is because of the high brightened.
Swimming pool with two sizes, a lot of bed過GOSEMASU leisurely beach either. Room air conditioners are in the rear of the site, you air-conditioned room if this price difference. Unlike indoor bath room was a fan.

Price! Out of the room was comfortable and the bus. (A separate toilet cubicle next to it)
The cramped little darker.
Many rows of shops and restaurants along the Sanur JL Tamplin cancer DANAU (enter a path hundreds of feet), was very convenient to shopping and dining. We stayed in the room was a fan first満室the air conditioning room. If this price is satisfied in this situation is a bit cramped in the dark.
