Large room, quiet area, good food.

Maintenance.

Could be set up dining table at the back around the pool bar for people to enjoy the meal or drink. The provided table at the moment at the bar does not make anybody tempting to sit down. This hotel is in quiet area and bit far away from the crowded area (Markets e.g. Legian or Kuta. Not many choices of restaurans in that area, but you still could find some places to get fine meal in certain restaurant. We can go shopping to Legian or Kuta or somewhere else by taxi. No worries of everything. Basically hotel is good, clean (basic standard of cleanleness, Fair Food. Friendly staff.

Travel tip : You could calculate your time before you go to anywhere due to the traffic jams everywhere. (to Airport, Ubud, Kuta, etc.)

Small Hotel, friendly service Cheap rooms

Bathroom needs updating, Bedroom needs painting

We found on our immediate arrival the room to be dissappointing. No hand towel or soap for washing hands. No bottled water for brushing teeth. The room needed painting , the bathroom was not particularly clean. Tiles needed to be wiped down as toilet bowl on the outside. Cistern did not work properly. However, the room was made up daily. Staff friendly. Breakfast meals were quite good.

Very nice staff, Outside the busy arrea of Kuta, Nice surrounding, Good breakfast

The mixing of cold and hot water is nearly impossible due to bad water taps. Also in the renovated rooms the water taps are of poor quality.

The name Taman Ayu means beautifull garden and the hotel has indeed a nice and very well maintained garden. Currently the hotel is in a process of renovating many rooms. Altough the lay out of the renovated rooms is very nice ( huge bathroom ) the old toilets and bath tubs are used again! This is a pitty. The floor of the new showers is made of gravel which looks very good but is not that practical. How to clean and it hurts a little under our western feet while standing on it. The big question is why the Hotel management did not spend a little more money on descent water taps.

Shopping Tip : There are 2 little supermarkets close to the Hotel. Beer was the most important item for me.

Nice and quiet. Beautiful pool. Friendly staff.

Old toilets that badly needs upgrading

Situated near the beach, about 10 mins walk. Close proximity to nice bars and club, try Ku De Ta which is nice and happening if you have the budget. Drinks are slightly on the pricey side, but it is worth every penny. Nice pool to chill out. Rooms are reasonable but toilets badly needs to be upgraded. The bathtubs are old and full of yellow stains. Tiles badly needs to be changed. Counter staff are friendly. But note extra beds in room do not comes with extra complimentary bottle drinking water. Breakfast could be prepared at 3 am in the morning upon requst which impresses me.

Wonderful helpful staff. Good breakfast. Close to beach.

Bathrooms were quite terrible, hand held shower/ no pressure. Not as clean as I would like. Pool problems. Bedding/ towels need replacing.

We stayed here for 9 days and while it was very convenient for our purposes I would not return. The staff were very friendly and they did their best but the inn is very tired and a coat of paint, new linens (which are very reasonably priced in Bali) and new bathrooms would go a long way. A thorough upgrade and good cleaning is necessary. The food was good and the massage in the garden quite delightful. We are people who do not complain and so made the best of our situation. It was reasonably priced but we could have had much better accommodations for less had we known Bali at all.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : A quick walk to the temple and public beach where the surf was incredible, do not miss having a sunset drink somewhere on the beach, a beautiful sight.

- Spacious room (\"Superior room\")\n- Good bed\n- Many TV channels (e.g. incl. Al-Jazeera and a Belgian station)\n- Free internet in lobby and restaurant\n- 24 hr room service\n- Helpful, friendly staff

- On the verge of run down\n- Warm water of shower impossible to control\n- No bed side lights

I stayed five nights at Taman Ayu Cottages. Overall, I had a pleasant stay. For me, the hotel scored on points, all the basic things were more or less ok (room, bed, bathroom, cleanliness, airco, etc.). I did have the impression that some things were in dire need of replacement. Like the deck chair at the pool that I used, it crumbled under my hands. The toilet had trouble flushing. Also, there were not enough lights in the room. Just the main light and a small light above a mirror. As the main light is far from cosey, the only remaining option was to keep on the light in the bathroom.\n\nTwo times did we need help from the staff, which was rendered immediately. (Batteries for the TV's remote control, and solving a problem with the airco unit.)\n\nService was fine. We appreciated the 24 hr room service, so we could get some food in the middle of the night. Food was ok, and the breakfast offered the standard Indonesian and Western options.\n\nWe were pleseantly surprized with the availability of free WiFi internet in the lobby and restaurant.\n\nOverall, I can recommend this hotel.

Hotel Feature Tip : Free WiFi internet available at lobby and restaurant.

my recommendation,if you want to stay here, choose the deluxe room/villa if you are a "clean-freak". food is so-so, but perhaps it will be better if the hotel could provide local food because am getting tired of western food outside the hotel, also will give some "food" experiences to the guests as well. but overall, not bad at all.

good value for money, professionalism and pleasant staff, room very clean and comfortable.

breakfast could be improved.

We spent 6 days in pleasant taman ayu. This is a hotel seemingly simple but turns out to be a place agréable.bonne situation.Situé within 10 minutes walk from the beach. It is near the center are grouped where Seminiak bars and restaurants. Staff freindly and professional. room (super deluxe) was very large and very clean. The bathroom was average.

Restaurant Tip : hotel located just 500 meters walk to a restaurant famous for its cuisine very refined and its views on the sea and the sunset.

accessibility of restaurants and shops.

vestusté the hotel needs to be redone, the rooms are not very comfortable.

small hotel that I recommend to my friends, for its location. I advise you not to take the breakfast, two away is a bakery, you will find croissants and chocolatines at will. Ditto for the restaurant, many restaurants around the hotel.

Restaurant Tip : go there without hesitation, you would not find the luxury but a good value for money. excellent restaurants nearby. I will return in September with friends.
