great location, unclean room & standard breakfast
great location and warm staff service
6.7
as a solo traveler, this hotel had great location, you can walking around, there's lot of restaurants, pub, and cafe. I've got room near the swimming pool, but the walls look dirty and old, and the breakfast taste standard.
Nightlife Tip:
nightlife around you!

Simple hotel with excellent staff
8.7
This is a great little hotel. The aircon is great, the bar is good and the food simple but of good quality. The staff make everyone feel at home. The only criticism would be the lack of hot water. There was none during my stay at all. Despite that, I would stay again simply because it was so convenient to my various projects. The wireless internet is complimentary and works well in most areas.

Great place if you have the right mindset...
Nothing really to like but nothing really to despise either..
5.7
The hotel is located at the heart of Legian, surrounded by a seemingly unlimited supply of entertainment establishments. Aim for a room in the back because they tend to be a bit more quiet. Staff was friendly but when they mention 'making up the room' they really mean making your bed. Breakfast was below average, easily purchased elsewhere for USD 3 so its inclusion should not be a selling point. They failed to replenish the soap/shampoo. The room, bedding, and towels had a dirty feel to them. There was also no hot water in my room. If you go to Bali to see its sights whether it be Ubud or volcanoes, hot spas etc. this hotel is great since all you would need is a bed to sleep in. If you are looking for a resort style vacation then this place should be avoided.
Travel tip:
Go see and make sure you hike a volcano. Sunrise at really is breath-taking. It is surreal as you climb it in the dark at 3 am. Great experience.

"Nice cozy little hotel w/ good friendly service
The rooms are located at the back of the restaurant and bar which makes it quiter at night. The 24hr restaurant is just right in front of Jln Legian with good access to the famous street and Kuta Beach. The pool is just the right size to compliment the 20 rooms where they are obliging enough to let us swim even late at night.

The hotel is a little tricky to find as the it has the smallest sign of any hotels I've ever been to. If its any help it is located about 100m just before the Bali Bombing Monument. Bathroom is an open concept but could do with new floor and wall tilings. Food is of adequate portion and service with a warm and friendly smile. Never regretted staying here. Good for budget traveller.

Nice and comfortable stay...
Pool, back from main road, cost, pool.
7.3
really great hotel for those who want a place close to the action but still away from it all. it is set away from the road (which can be a issue to find after a few too many bintangs), so you don't get the traffic or drunks noise. the rooms are nice, nothing too flash but clean. the pool is a nice touch, but the free breakfast at the restaurant out the front is not the best, but still for the price and location its not too bad. overall, for the price, it is a nice place that is very central. i would stay again.

Decent hotel but many problems!
7.3
the location is pretty good, laid back off of legian street which is the main strip there in that area. its a decent little complex but i had many problems...
barely any water pressure for the shower, if you even you get water all at! when you do get water, will either be ice cold or burning hot. seems to be impossible to find a middle-ground. but like i said, most of the time, i could barely get water to come out. ac could not keep my room cool. i had it on full power the whole time i was there (5 days) and still i laid in bed sweating. both of these issues are deal breakers for me. i would not stay in this hotel again. my friend, who had a separate room, had the same problems. my friend had a new flat screen tv in his room, while i had an old style box tv in mine. not a big deal but seems they could upgrade all uniformly.

Quaint Resort Type Accommodation at the Party St.
Big king-sized bed, quirky and cool for a solo traveller
6
The taxi stopped at the main road to be informed that you've arrived at the accommodation but can only see bars after bars was pretty scary. Taman Ayu is located behind these main street of pubs and bars but it is quiet - you can barely hear all the noise from the main road.
The resort type accommodation is a small area and the room is a good size for a solo traveller. It is unique so if you are traveling with another person, make sure you are both intimately close to each other. The whole room is one big square i.e. there are no separate room for the toilet and shower. No doors. No wall. You can see the bed from the toilet, you can see the shower when at the dressing table.
Pretty cool for me since I am not traveling alone!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Just beside the accommodation on the main road is a massage place which does mani and pedi too - highly recommended. It has pink sign boards and does not look like a big establishment from the outside but as you enter you will realise it is huge inside.
Prices are cheap / cheaper than the rest I saw down the street and the service is good. I had a foot massage + mani and pedi + full back massage on different days. Recommended!

Great location for party goers
Clean room, strategic location, friendly staffs
8.7
i was staying at taman ayu legian by myself while my friends were staying in another place. i found it very nice, the room was clean and tidy, got enough sun exposure and the location was perfect for those who like to party as it is exactly located in the central of kuta-legian nightlife. it was really convenient to get around as well, and easy to find anything needed from all shops around the place.
the only problem was the water from the shower that sometimes jammed during certain hours, however it didn't last too long
breakfast was also average, but i didn't put too much expectation on this considering the low price for the room
the staffs are very friendly and helpful, their service was excellent
so overall i was enjoying my stay at taman ayu legian, and will definetely stay there again one day, and will recommend this place to my friends.
however, if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful holiday, then this is not the place for you
