I stayed solo in the biggest cottage, , marvelous.
At walking distance to Ubud centre, and walking distance to local small roads with the normal life of the Balinese people, often artists.

Great service, lovely grounds, quiet locale...

My brother & I stayed here for 2 nights a couple weeks ago. Our 2 complaints are mild; one was the air con was not particularly strong or effective; the other is that although the doors were locked, they couldn't close completely. This meant that one night a stray cat came running out of the room as we entered (not a big deal for us, but if one were allergic or if the cat had fleas this could be a problem). The larger issue was that a bird (or bat) seemed to have taken refuge in the room and left some poo for us to clean a couple times. There were also a few mouse turds, but this was almost expected considering the hotel is surrounded by rice paddies.
Travel tip:
Although a bit of a distance from the heart of Ubud and all the attractions, Made was always extremely gracious in picking us up or dropping us off whenever & wherever we wanted. The room is lovely, despite the above; huge, high thatch celings; a fan, mini fridge with reasonably priced beer & water, comfy beds, huge bathroom with lots of hot water & a great shower/tub; fresh towels & quiet. And as mentioned above, the breakfasts were filling works of art. Although a bit expensive by other Bali standards, I didn't feel ripped off in the least.And it was nice to be in such a tiny hotel; only 4 rooms made us feel well looked after!

Nice balinese style room but location is remote
good balinese style room, nice view and quiet

Location is far from main street but transport is provided to ubug town with pickup service. Each room is detach from each other and environment is quiet. Nice rice field view and it feels like staying at villages.
