Most relaxing holiday in years

We booked the 1 bedroom pool villa for two nights in June. Location-wise, we found it perfect. Just 1-2 minutes walk to Jln Laksamana which is Eat Street. No lack of good food, some shopping and basic necessities.
I was initially apprehensive having read some negative feedback about how dirty the pool or poor condition the villas were. The minute we stepped into the villa, all our worries were out of the window. The villa surpassed our expectations. The pool was a decent size for two persons to get in. The room was huge as was the bathroom. Everything in the kitchen and hall were clean and modern. The only two complaints we would have is the quality of breakfast. We had local and western breakfast sets delivered to our villa in the morning but they are really not appetizing. Coffee and tea are suppose to be made yourself in the villa but the cups were quite dirty. These are just tiny blips in the grand scheme of things. There are much better food just at the doorstep in any case.

The pool filter was not working from day 1. It looked dirty and murky. Not a pleasant sight at all and we stayed 5 nights. They were not able to move us to another villa because they said they were fully booked. It was very disappointing.

It was okay
The staff are attentive and helpful, especially when my husband was not feeling well in the middle of the night. The breakfast and dinner from The Kitchen was good. Room was pretty nice except for the

On the first night, we were transferred to Kunti because of a fault/lack of room in The Villa. The room at Kunti was in poor, dim condition. We suspected that my husband had food poisoning after eating the food at Kunti.
2nd night and nights after we were back at The Club. Definitely much better location and better room, however, I do find the toilet a bit dirty. The jacuzzi was stained and yello. Lights were quite dim in the toilet. Still for the location, room and pool, I find it quite value for money.

Was not a pleasant stay. We made a booking May 10th, and by May 18th they informed us they are doing maintenance and will move us to alternative hotel. Not happy with this stay.

Location of the compound is superb, don't depend on their breakfast, insects some times inside the villa, but this is because of the villa's garden, Swimming pool is nice and clean.
