Design: villa is spacious, layout is great, main pool cabana is lovely Receptionist: wonderful smile and very attentive Food: Made-to-order breakfast is lovely and VERY fresh

Bathroom: bathtub isn't really a bathtub, it's like shower space with knee-height bricks allowing you to fill water. I was unfortunate to get pee-smell bathroom, so better ask them to clean it thoroughly Private pool: VERY cold in there. If you don't like a freezing pool, make sure you ask for villa #25 which is warmer due to more sunlight

What is best here is the design and staff. They are very attentive and have very good English. If you are a beach-person, try other hotels near Kudeta like The Legian, Oberoi or Samaya. Elysian is 5 min walk down a dodgy lane (beware of dogs!!)to Kudeta beach club, where you can enjoy an amazing stretch of Seminyak beach. I would recommend Elysian for those who are looking for a very private escape or hideaway coz staying in the Villa is very comfy that you don't want to move. With iPod provided with speaker, you feel like home. Laptop is provided at the lobby and main pool area for guests to use anytime of day. The spa is somewhat cute, only 2 rooms with great staff. What really annoys me is tiny detail- pee smell and hair in the bathroom, rubbish at the plants near the pool. I would not return to this hotel again only because of the location and a 5 stars design hotel experience that is not worth the price.

Restaurant Tip : Sarong & Mosaic are splendid Booking in advance is recommended!

Staff are fantastic, all of them will do anything they can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Guest Relations Manager Sri was brilliant, always checking that everything was ok. Fantastic breakfast.

the only thing to be careful of is some villas back onto the road, very very noisy all night, we had to be moved.

excellent location, although not right on the beach, only a 3 min walk heading right out of the front not left (most people went left and complained about the walk), and only 3 minutes to the main street shops & resteraunts using the path almost opposite the entrance. take 10 steps left and then turn right and follow the grey paved path (cuts the trip down by about 70%)If you want to get a Taxi they have a Minimum fee of 15000 Rupiah (about $2) gets you anywhere in Seminyak. The only thing to be careful of is some of the villas back onto the road, very very noisy all night, we were originally put into villa 4 and had to be moved. we moved to villa 22 which was great. the low number villas may be a problem the staff told us they usually have about an 80% occupancy rate so book early and request a quiet villa. Complimentary Breakfast is Brilliant, not a la carte but all you can eat off the menu and great food, even if you want to request something not on the menu the will be only too happy to organise it for you.

Restaurant Tip : After trying all the popular resteraunts in the area, you just cant go past the Chandi in the main street. i do suggest you book for dinner, excellent food, 3 courses for two with drinks about $50 australian, it costs about $200 at some of the others. Definently the Best Value in Town. Don't expect too much on offer in the main street for Lunch as most resteraunts are closed during the day.

Great location near the Oberoi. Smiling and helpful staff. Great sized villa and pool. 1 Bedroom villa can suit couple or family with two small children. Breakfast can be served at restaurant or in the comfort of your villa.

No direct access to the beach but not far to walk to it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We have come to Bali six times and stayed in many villas in Seminyak. This is the best value villa. Great space, facilities with helpful staff ensure that your stay is pleasant and relaxed. We can not fault our stay at the Elysian. The NZ owner ensures the place runs smooth, efficient so your only worry is to ensure that you have put on the suntan lotion as everything runs like clockwork.

Restaurant Tip : La lucciola, Living Room, and Sarong with a couple of Mojitos at Ku De Ta.
