Nice and clean room, great service.

We had a good time there, the room was nice and clean, the staff was really nice, friendly and helpfull. Not noisy at all, the hotel has their own motorbikes to rent wich makes a lot easier.

Great location - Friendly staff
Welcoming and in a beautiful area
7
We were met with a warm welcome even though we arrived at 2am after our flight was delayed. The room was quite small with an ensuite and a balcony with a stunning view. Bedroom was fine but the bathroom was a bit grubby. We also had to ask for toilet roll and soap. Food and beer is avaliable all day at the front of the hotel and the staff really are lovely. Sadly it was not the best area to eat breakfast as there were were hundreds of flies about. Lovely location away from the main surfer bars at the beach and really close to Uluwatu temple with its astonishing sunset and Kecak fire dance.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Kecak fire dance at sunset at the temple is a must!!

We got a great deal here, it was a clean hotel, small rooms and no breakfast included, the bathroom was a little stale but overall it was a lovely room and lovely stay.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Overall I recommend for a place to stay, you will spend most of your time at the beautiful beach anyway!

You get what you pay for & even alittle less
Swimming pool & nice old architecture only!
5.3
Not as professional as it should have been.
I would call it a homestay not a hotel.
Been backpacking alot, comparing to what you pay you get much less quality if service & cleanness.
Room almost dirty, bathroom full of fungus n not broken parts. Dark room with not mosqito net on windows.
Kind staff though! They are helpfull but understading of service is far from "hotel" standard.
Quiet n nice to relax, but lobby shuts down when they want to sleep! Like after 9-10pm.
Not very far from beach but if you want to hang out in restaurants on the beach then consider walking back to this place in the absolute dark for 10min.
In overall not a bad place to stay if you are in a group with luggaes full of stuffs you need in a village.
I only have 3kg backback so lack of yhe service of clean towels & shampoo, ... was alittle not expected.
Nightlife Tip:
Definitley go to Blue point and sifferent local cafes on the rocks.
A bintang n a local food with the sunset view will leave you a very good memory.
Go to Jimbaran bay( 10min ride) for one of the best n biggest seafood feasts in Bali.
(Any busy restaurant wouldbe good).
Go around noon, swim in sea and then in the evening relax on the restaurants on the beach snd order yoyr traditional fresh seafood served with lots of sid dishes.

Cozy hotel with friendly staff
Value for money, courteous staff, location
6.7
Our stay at the Gong was just for a night as we were hopping to different locations. But the stay here was excellent with good facilities (room, pool, restaurant). Also hiring of rental motorcycles to travel to close by locations was helpful.
The only minor hiccup was the water in the shower clogging in the drain. I hope they fix this soon.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Don't miss the show and the sunset at Uluwatu Temple just 5mins drive from here.

Great location for surfing but rooms subpar
The proximity to the Uluwatu surf break-- perfect for surfers
7.3
In general, my stay at the Gong was fine. Highly recommended for surfers planning to surf the Uluwatu surf break-- it's a 8-10 minute walk, or 1-2 minutes by motorscooter. However, I wouldn't recommend this if you are planning to sightsee in other regions of the island, since it's tough to get around from here-- in any case, you will want to rent a motorscooter (but be careful). The staff are very friendly and accommodating, and food is quite good for the prices. There is a nice pool/lounge area for sunbathing and relaxing. However, the rooms were not very impressive-- especially the bathrooms, which seemed very old and in need of better ventilation.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Rent a motorscooter, since it's very difficult to get around from this fairly remote location. Otherwise, you might have to get non-metered taxis which often rip you off.

Well staying
A tranquil hotel with Ocean scene
8.7
We only had one night in Gong, but were impressed by its charm.
We can see Indian Ocean from balcony, and it is a good place to go to Indian Ocean. What is disapointing is that hotel doesn't supply hot water, so we can not have shower in case of having cold.

Excellent place to stay, close to Uluwatu!
Service was great, food was tasty and cheap, pool was a nice feature. Cheap motorbike rental
8.3
My husband and I stayed for three nights here. Very price effective and the upstairs room was equipted with balcony views of not too far ocean and nice afternoon breezes. Small and clean, hot water wasn't always hot but for the budget traveler this place is excellent. It seemed wifi worked on laptops/ but for some reason not on our iPhone. Quick ten minute walk to uluwatu or rent a bike for cheap and it's only a few minutes away. Uluwatu temple is nearby and a great place to go, 6pm kecak dance not to be missed. Padang Padang a quick ride via bike with lots of warungs along the way, if you want to try somewhere different. Only advice is we stayed in room closest to the restaurant and heard the electrical wires buzz from the street so recommend requesting rooms further away from their restaurant.
