Very quiet ambiance...but if you look for it then it is perfect.
Oberoi is a very professional and upscale brand, the property in Seminyak suits these standards perfectly! the location is central (just by the side of Kudeta and few hundreds mt from restaurants), the service is beyond reproach and rooms are private and comfortable.
Is one of the most expensive but only one of the few directly on the beach...and this is a great plus!! strongly suggested.
Nightlife Tip : Go for the aperitif/dinner at Kudeta! just by the side of Oberoi.

fantastic, accomodatin staff, warm & gentle Balinese atmosphere, traditional 5 star luxury
will be due for a refurbishment in the next few years. Well maintained but dated interiors.
Th Bali Oberoi is a little bit of old world luxury and charm in the Balinese tradition. The staff are gentle and only happy to oblige your every whim. The grounds, right on Seminyak beach are sprawling and beautifully maintained. Set in a prime position, The Bali Oberoi is in a central location near to all the wonderful restaurants and bars and there is really no reason to move very far and just relax.
Restaurant Tip : Sarong and Ku De Taboth in Seminyak - divine dining and beautiful environment.

very convenient location - the center of Seminyak shopping/dining area. The beach is very nice. Hotel facility is maintained very nicely.
Because I took the most inexpensive room, it is a bit too behind the view was not nice.
Oberoi Hotel Bali is the best in my luxury hotel history. Hotel staff are friendly and facility is excellent. And they took care of my sudden cancellation very effeciently. Wake-up call service comes with a complement morning coffee, and fresh fruit are served at the pool side... I like their service a lot. The bathroom is very nice.

Great old fashioned service / some really nice touches (welcome drinks / poolside face spritzs, fresh water etc)
The rooms are a tad small and most don't really have much of a view.
The Oberoi has much more charm and feels like the more traditional Bali hotel and service. Great staff, amazing service and beautiful grounds with loads of coconut trees and hammocks.
Very relaxing.
Nightlife Tip : Ku de Ta is a great bar for cocktails at sundown

Fantastic grounds, location, great staff
Rooms are okay -- not as nice as some competitors, but overall experience remains terrific
We stayed at the Oberoi at the tail end of our honeymoon. The staff there made our visit special, including decorating our room with flowers one night. The grounds of the hotel are spectacular and the staff are really excellent! Excellent pool, very nice gym, great location on the beach. Appears to be the best in Seminyak.

The Oberoi was somewhere we have always wanted to stay we love the location and the gardens. The staff were terrific and the food great, alchohol very costly.
The pool area and swimming pool needs a serious makeover. Also need to have a different setup for breakfast other than Al a carte takes forever to get your breakfast.
Love the hotel and the fact that it has kept traditional. The staff great and the ambiance of the hotel is very serene, however the pool needs a tastful overhaul. The drone of the surrounding restaurants music is a worry especially when the staff place ear plugs on your bed at night. We would still return to the oberoi regardless.
Restaurant Tip : Trattoria restaurant great value for money Ku de ta always great for a late avo drink.

Beautiful lush grounds with statuary and many flowers in secluded area of Seminyak; wide uncrowded beach, excellent food and service.
Breakfasts were overpriced: $22 for a "continental" breakfast. However it was big. One day we saved part for lunch; the next day the two of us shared one breakfast.
We had rented a car but, with narrow roads filled with motorcycles, we ventured out little on our four night stay and thus were able to fully enjoy the beautiful grounds and good food. The service was excellent. I was having some trouble walking so whenever I asked an electric cart would soon arrive to move me around. Dinner in the open air restaurant was a delight with lots of free little amuse bouches on large plates arriving between courses. Our lanai villa had a private terrace where we ate our breakfasts and a lovely bathroom opening onto a little garden. We were particularly impressed by the pool service which included free suntan lotion and an occasional snack.

Rooms. Bathrooms. The grounds. The breakfast. The poolside service. Traditional Indonesian good manners. Beach views. Night lighting of the palm trees. In the vicinity of excellent eating places like Gado Gado and KuDeTa.
Asking us, as soon as we arrived, when we would be leaving and whether we would like a limo or not! Not very welcoming. Over-obsequious staff. The air conditioning was noisy in our room and it was impossible not to feel its draught on our faces, so sleeping wasn't brilliant.
My partner and I were struck by the minute attention to every detail, both in the well-appointed rooms and the grounds in general. There were masses of staff attending to housekeeping, gardens, security and guests' needs. The grounds are attractively laid out to provide a soothing contrast to the heat, noise and smells of the streets. Our favourite aspects: the poolside atmosphere and the excellent served breakfast under the sunshades.
Restaurant Tip : The hotel dining is expensive but why not try Gado Gado for fab food and relaxed atmosphere under lit-up trees by Legian beach? A very cheap taxi ride will get you there in 15 minutes and you won't regret it! Eating is wonderful and the bill, for us Europeans, was a very pleasant surprise.

Beautifull Gardens
Amazing Swimming Pool
Great Villas
Quiet Place
A real Oasis in the middle of Seminyak
Extra-friendly and competent Staff
Food maybe a bit pricey for it's quality, and especially compared to the restaurants close by.
Shuttle service could work untill later (stopped at 6 p.m.).
Our stay in Oberoi Hotel Bali was the first and longest of our Honeymoon in Bali. Although at first we regretted staying so far from the action in Kuta and Bukit, we grew into the fact that the Hotel is situated away from all the mess and traffic.
Day by day, the Hotel´s pool grew on us as we swithced between surfing and walking on Seminyak beach, and swimming in the pool´s refreshing waters.
Another excelent point about this hotel was the staff with their continual smile on their faces.
We are very happy to have stayed at this Hotel and definitely reccomend it for anyone!
Restaurant Tip : The Junction Lounge is an excelent place for some international cuisine and privacy.

Staff amazing
Ground beautiful
Garden Lanai lovely
Wireless internet in rooms should be free and the cost of food and drink too expensive
The staff at the Oberoi were amazing. Nothing is a problem for them. The grounds are beautiful and the garden lanai's are lovely. From the minute you arrive until your departure everything is done for you. The lovely trainee at the pool looks after your every need. All in all I would not hesitate in recommending a stay at the Oberoi.
Restaurant Tip : for a change have breakfast at LaLuciola on Saturday or Sunday it is fantastic

Mosquitoes and restaurant prices
Old classic hotel , my room was very claustrophobic but clean , distance from the lobby to my room like 5 minutes walking.Bar and restaurants overpriced ( a continental breakfast around 30 US. The beach service is very good but the beach depends on the wind , some days the water smells like sewers .

staff service level
location - right in front of the beach
lots of restaurants/shops nearby
hotel restaurant, bar are expensive
We absolutely loved the stay at The Oberoi Bali Hotel. It was our honeymoon and we wanted to stay somewhere very nice and no doubt I made the right choice. We loved the every minute of it. You have the beach right in front of the beach, so we go surf everymorning and jump into pool right after then a few Bintan beers. The Oberoi Bali Hotel is the place where it offers this incredible time.

Beautiful grounds
Spectacular location directly on the sand
Refined and attentive service
Lovely Lanais
Located directly next door to Ku De Ta
value for money
charging for internet access in Lanai
This was our third visit, all previous have been booked thru agencies like Agoda. Perhaps due to heavy booking, this time we felt that we were treated less-well than other customers who (might have) paid full price. Our Lanai was among the farthest from the ocean of the 58 villas in the complex. The 'remote' location didn't seem to affect the service though, as when we called for ice or newspapers they were all brought within 5 minutes.
Hotel Feature Tip : Unless your company is paying for the internet access in your Lanai, don't use it. Go to the pool/ common areas and you can pick up free wireless.

Location on the beach. Location to Ku De Ta. Peace and Quiet. Staff that will do anything for you, including bending rules to make your stay perfect.
None - really!! Okay, it could be cheaper, but worth every penny :)
Branded as one of the World's Leading Small Hotels, the branding is indeed deserved. Although it's difficult to pick out particular wonderful or fantastic items, as a total package hotel - it just has it all, yet it's difficult to describe why. The rooms - great. The staff - excellent. The service - superb. It's expensive, but worth every single penny. In fact - it's worth not leaving the hotel and just spend a whole week soaking all the great things in and taking advantage of it all - spoil yourself.
Hotel Feature Tip : Just enjoy every single moment.
