Not so Sweet Sanyas

Having stayed at these Villas a few years ago we returned with the same expectation - Beautiful villa in a secluded and quiet environment and expceptional service. What we found was that the villas had a new manager and things had gone downhill somewhat. You can't fault the villas in what they offer, private pool, great relaxation area, but the service had a lot to be desired. Our breakfast was poor and was never correct, we got to the point where we just didn't bother ordering it anymore, even though it was supposed to be included in the price. The room cleaning happened at haphazard times, the shower was not running properly and when reported I was told - that's the way it is. The most frustrating thing was although it says they have free wifi, it NEVER worked. We complained about this on day 1 and asked if perhaps we could be moved to another room, they said they were fully booked, which was not true, and they were fixing the issue - it was never fixed! Access to the internet was essential to our business, so we had to go to a cafe around the corner every morning to have a decent breakfast and get internet access. Then when we asked if we could check out at 8pm due to our late flight we were told we would be charged a full day rate. Last time we were there we were only charged half the daily rate. Needless to say the whole experience left a very sour taste in our mouth and we will not be returning.
