Located just outside hustle and bustle

i was thoroughly impressed by sunset hotel. many of the hotels in legian are in need of renovation but this hotel has been recently built to an extremely high standard. the rooms are quiet and peaceful, with large televisions.
Travel tip:
The markets which are a short scooter ride away have some of the best traditional food in Indonesia.

I know this hotel cause I pass it everyday. Looks expensive from outside. But when I checked it through Agoda, I was very cheap.
But too bad, so many moquitos in the room
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
just walk to the north side, and stop by to domba coffee.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed at.

where do i start? we booked and paid for 5 nights (inc breakfast) at this hotel and checked out after 2 nights. in fact, if it weren't nyepi day on our second day in bali we would have checked out sooner. if this hotel is 4 star, then i'm lady gaga. if you have visions of yourself sipping cocktails by the pool on your holiday, then think again. the swimming pool is marginally bigger than the one my best friend has in her back yard and it's not as deep. it is in the middle of the hotel and is overlooked by a derelict construction site which is cleverly cropped from the photo's. every time we went for a swim the local men would appear in this building and openly stare and whistle while we were swimming. it was unnerving and unenjoyable. the pool has 4 chairs - yes only 4!- around the whole swimming pool area and service is non-esixtant. the hotel advertises a spa, which when i enquired about (i couldn't seem to find it in the hotel grounds) was given a brochure to another place where they would be happy to pick me up and drop me off - as if i was going to do that with this hotel! the breakfast was appalling. if you are asian you'll be right, it's full of fried rice and noodles and asian porridge, but if you are a westerner, well, there is not a pancake or type of cereal in sight. the room for a hotel that is only over a year old was sub standard. the bed was rock hard, and i mean rock, the bathroom shower was falling apart, and we found hair on the floor of the bathroom on the day we arrived. the room safe was a joke - we couldn't figure it out (there were no instructions) so we called housekeeping who came and "gave" us the code we had to use! safe to say, we kept our belongings on us the whole time. back to housekeeping - what a joke! we rang several times for it to ring out. we asked for extra teabags on one occasion and were told that they couldn't understand us and hung up. i'm outta space for the rest of the review, don't stay here!

nice boutique hotel and also great location. but .. so many mosquitos. even in their room and toilet.
because there is no hairdryer in the room, just call fo and they will deliver that to your room.
overall.. good!!
Hotel Feature Tip:
before you receive the room key, please ask the receptionist to spray the room with mosquito killer spray.
try to walk about 600m, find domba coffee. great coffee bean!!

New hotel with fantastic Staff

The location of this hotel is a little further from "The action" than some may prefer but it suites mer nicely.
The security at the front of the hotel are happy to get you a taxi whenever you may require and it still only a short distance to the beach, bars and the airport.
This was not my first and will not be my last stay at this hotel.
The pool is nice and the rooms are large. I have not tried the food as yet so I cant mention.
Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful stay.
An over all wonderful hotel for the price!

So clean but there is no service for my phone. I could not use the wifi. The connection was terrible but it is ok. Small hotel but nice. So quiet but i need taxi to go to shooping center. The staff was great and good services. Actually i like the pizza

a very good hotel accommodation, very comfortable and really good food. the staff are so friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. the pool was so nice to come home to after a hot day out shopping. the rooms were always nice and clean when we came back after a day out.

The hotel is clean and the location is very nearby to the city.
minus points - a construction working is in progress until quite late in the night.
mosquitoes are not as bad as what other travellers said, as the hotel provide electric mosquitoes repellent.
The staff are very helpful, during breakfast most of the food are a bit spicy, my sons can't eat them. I ordered sausages and omelet almost everyday during our stay with no extra cost.
Restaurant Tip:
Lauta Chinese restaurant in Kuta. The best Taiwanese porridge if you are a porridge lover.
