Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Fantastic location at nature's edge, a bungalow-feel rather than rooms, just outside town but close enough, Ubud history in the air, relaxed atmosphere
Bathrooms need modernizing, upper rooms too close to road noise, breakfast can do with more care
The Tjampuhan has its issues but I would not have traded it for a more sterile five-star experience. Yes, the road passes nearby (so ask for a lower-located room); there are lots of steps (so watch your step); the bathrooms are a weak spot (so owner, take this long-standing issue more seriously); and the breakfast menu is a bit careless (so don't expect the usual two square-mile spread). Also, one can get the feeling that the reception lacks some consistency. But: you cannot beat the Tjampuhan's location, architecture and atmosphere. The rooms all located in bungalows perched on a lush green hillside over the river. The sound of the water, the birds, the rustle of the leaves and branches combine to give this place an atmosphere that is very hard to come by anywhere else on Bali. Don't come here if you simply seek a full-luxury modern experience, including an ocean-size pool; but do consider this hotel for a pretty authentic change. And don't worry about the location to town; there is all manner of transport (including, if you wish/can, your own legs within ten minutes).
Hotel Feature Tip : Families or small groups should consider renting the 'Walter Spies' bungalow - Ubud history included.

- Nature surroundings
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Neat out and inside
- Wifi lobby and Restaurant without extra charge
- Bamboo covered ceiling in lower segment bungelow's need dusting.
- No AC and Fridge in standard room.
Enjoyed our stay at Tjampuhan hotel after our first stay in the beginning of our trip in a relative luxurious bungalow booked later in our trip the standard room.
Although both rooms were good the standard room is only equipped with a Fan. For our second short stay we did not have a problem because it just rained and the temperature was just dropping a bit.
Because you are in the middle of nature at Tjampuhan expect insects to sometimes show up.
Staff cleans every day and tries to keep the room as clean and free of bugs as they can.
Shopping Tip : Ubud market starting prices for foreigners are way to high start by testing dropping prices below half what is offered and don't worry walking away the next shop might offer the same Item. Fake Items and bad quality is everywhere around so be aware know what you buy (be there when they pack).

Food Quality (breakfast), no refrigerator
Overall, this hotel is nice place to stay (cosy , very natural) however hotel should improve some services ; spa should be more professional , breakfast has not variety , no refrigerator (it needed).
Anyway, may be come back. We loved room at banyan 4 . It was wonderful.
Hotel Feature Tip : Agung room type which we selected called banyan 4 was very impressived by view and sound from waterfall all the time. Great
