I'm a backpacker who needed some quiet and comfort for my last night in Bali. The hotel is in a good spot, walking distance from the beach and from delicious seafood warongs! Nice and refreshing swimming pool. Less than 15 minutes drive from the airport

Very basic big room and good location

Good value hotel

This hotel is in a great location, only a few minutes walk from the beautiful Jimbaran beach. For the price, the rooms are excellent. There are many expensive hotels in this area. The hotel's food is excellent. The only drawback was that with the somewhat remote location, it was expensive to get transport to other places on the island.

best to hire scooter if staying long term

easy upgrade to air con, nice pool, good breakfast, friendly staff, short walk to beach

Great small quiet hotel in ritzy Jimbaran Bay. Close to airport and Tuban/Kuta. Close to Nusa Dua and Ulluwatu. Very close to fish market where you can buy seafood wholesale and have it cooked for an additional 1500 rupiah (15 cents).I upgraded to air con for a few extra dollars per night, as the fan rooms dont cut the humidity (plus you get a fridge and bigger TV). Room had two king sigle beds, nice and comfy, wardrobe, table and wall mirror, large windows for natural light, and two balconies. light switches located close to bed so dont have to get up to turn lights off. card slot to turn power on in room. Staff will leave your aircon on entire day while your out (big bonus).my sheets were clean and super soft, ensured good sleep. Seperate toilet with bath/shower.Be prepared for power cuts thru the night, but this happens through out Bali.Rooms cleaned every day at 10am. Two bottles of water daily. free wifi in lobby, plus the use of a computer if you dont have laptop or smartfone (great when having breakfast). pool was lovely and clean, small shallow area for children or adults to lay in. Nice sun lounges with matresses around pool. Breakfast has banana pancake, fried egg and toast, fresh fruit, indo noodles, coffee (bali or nescafe) and tea.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Restaurant next to hotel expensive for simple indo food so avoid it. Avoid the restaurants on the beach - all very expensive compared to fish market. I had a kilo of tiger prawns for $6 at the market, would have cost $50 plus at the restaurants. If staying long term (more than 2 days) then hire a scooter to get around (fuel costs 5000 rup per litre/ 3l tank will last 150km). Be wary of local police tho as unless you have an Indonesia license you'll need at least 50,000 rupiah for their bribe not to be taken to jail. Xmas time is the worst for corrupt police sometimes asking for 200,000 ($20). To avoid police attention, buy a decent helmet from Careforr for $15, get urself a rain poncho ($3 from the local market) as it helps cover your white touristy skin, avoid hiring a scooter with surfboard racks as these are a magnet for police, and drive courtesly (dont speed or ride recklessly endangering locals). If a policeman calls you over - dont go! you'll be paying money for some trumped up charge. The rule is not to make eye contact, and ignore them. theres a big local shopping centre about a 5 min walk towards the airport on the main road for supplies, a local market just up from the hotel (great for fresh fruit and trinkets), two local laundry's which are super cheap (I used Bintang Laundry, 3 days worth of clothes laundered for $1). Forget getting a massage locally as all expensive, go to Tuban (otherside of airport) where they are only 50,000 rupiah for an hour ($5).Lots of warungs (local shops) on hotel road for drinks, beers and snacks.

Good villa accommodation

Clean and close to beach,

the villa puri royan was a great place to stay. the staff were friendly and unintrusive. they kept the place clean and well-maintained. the pool was great. i got a room which had a standard fan and if i was to come back here i would definitely get one of the air con rooms as it took a few days to acclimatise. the only downsides were that the beds could probably do with an upgrade. same goes for the towels they provided - very old. my bathroom had one of those stand-in the bath showers and very little water pressure. no soap was provided only bath gel so bring your own. overall, you pay for what you get and the villa puri royan was good money for value.

Because I arrived from Australia after midnight and left the following morning, the hotel was handy for me. It was not expensive and the room was comfortable.

Great location

Great location, Confortable, Cheap, Friendly

It is near to the fishing village, just walking 2 minutes. The room was spacious and clean, not flash but you can't complain for this small bucks a night. The staff were great and you can enjoyed relaxing in the pool, banana pancakes for breakfast and appreciated free wifi. Yes the rooms are pretty dated and could be doing with being renovated, but it is comforable that just adds to the charm.
Restaurant Tip: seafood restaurant along the beach

Quaint & Quiet Gem Steps Away from Jimbaran Beach

Low Price, Free Breakfast, Proximity to the Beach,

The staff is amazing, very kind and accommodating, especially Putu. The breakfast is very tasty, I usually chose the banana pancakes, which are buttery and crisp on the outside. There is a very nice little pool in the middle of the property, plenty of parking for your scooter in the front and WiFi in the lounge area. The hotel is VERY close to the beach, a less than 5 minute walk to the most peaceful beach on the island with some amazing fresh fish restaurants strung along the shoreline. At night, these restaurants become the beautiful setting for a tiki-torch illuminated dining scene that is both romantic and unforgettable. I highly recommend trying a fish called Barramundi, hard to find in Europe and USA, with an ice cold Bintang, the local beer.
Shopping Tip: The community in Jimbaran is amazing, very friendly people offering good food and crafts at more reasonable prices than the tourist gouging stalls near Kuta. One of my favorite vendors was Ani, she sells masks and other hand crafts near the cafes in Jimbaran.
