Shopping at the factory outlets which is centrally located. Business district with foreign banks aplenty. Open air taxies are everywhere n cheap but they practise price differentiations for foreigners. Very friendly staff. Knowing a few terms of the local language can make a difference.The various restaurants n pubs are the main attractions for the locals. The coffee house offers very nice local fares in the evenings.
Though many but the breakfast is the same daily. A bit old but clean rooms, try the exec room. Pool's not inviting.
Bandung's climate is not as cool as I expected, perhaps is that time of the year. Not as active as in Jakarta which is 1 1/2hour drive. Going arnd with a local guide is an advantage. If shopping is the no.1 on your itinerary, this is your place. I extended my stay from 6 to 10 nites coz of new places to explore though only at nite. Watch out for taxies that do not go by meter, best to bargain b'4 getting on one.
Shopping Tip : Located along a busy road which can take you a whole day or 2. Of coz, they are western diners as well as local fares.

poor service in dollars less expensive restaurant with dishes that affected do not do justice to the Indonesian cuisine
We have 3 days to eight. After the first dinner, we go elsewhere to eat in very tasty restaurants in the area (including Dapur Ku). A request for a taxi to call for transport to the station we were offered a hotel taxi for Rp 75.000. For a taxi, which I have self-scheduled I paid 30000Rp. Eventually, we were free to the station because the requested taxi not appeared.
