The stay was decent and comfortable. However, we were staying on the 1st floor and every morning we could clearly hear the noise from the conferences below us. Our view was a wall! The pipe from the aircond was sticking out the balcony which made the sliding door constantly ajar which is not only an eyesore but also a waste of electricity in cooling down the room. Its just some minor things but can be easily rectified. Do insist on a higher floor.

Boutique hotel but with big room!

Checking in was fast and we were first given two rooms on the 1st floor. However, we found out that we need to climb down and up a few steps to reach the floor and it was troubling for my mum who have bad knees. Went back to the receptionist and they were fast to respond to our request for another floor with connecting rooms. We were even lead to the 5th floor rooms personally and asked if we are alright with the rooms. :)
For a boutique hotel, the room is definitely not small. The layout is very convenient as the toilet is hidden from the bed area. I'm aware that the hotel have been having problems with their centralized air-con but the temporary fixed of portable air-con helped a lot. The other room however was slightly warm.
The best part of what the hotel can offer is that they were very nice to have packed us our breakfast as we need to leave for a crater tour in the morning. Things like this really made our stay at Amaroossa a great experience!
