hotel near to dc mall. staff not so friendly but average. hotel should provide individual safety box in the room for us to keep our valuable things. hotel should provide hotel tranfer for every customer in hotel utama.

booked a std room, not too bad, queen size bed, small room but with complete set of a hotel room e.g hot water jug, toiletries, mini fridge. with jacuzzi & gym too. didn't try the jacuzzi, heard the bigger pool is for men and the smaller pool for ladies, saw the men staying in the pool for quite long so didn't feel comfortable to go there for a dip. hubby tried the gym, was ok. Location: 5 mins walk to DC mall, maybe 20-30 mins walk to Nagoya Hill. we do a lot of walking, we walked to Penuin market, BCS (also around 20-30 mins walk).
Restaurant Tip:
tried the chinese che zhar stall, the food is good, shop name is Hengky. 2 shop away, day time coffee shop, the food is ok too. tried a stall where they sell mee sagu, something unique, (transparent noodles) with some chili & minced meat i think.. not sure of the shop name but it's opp. K cirle mart towards nagoya wet market.

Best hotel for three star

hotel is clean, counter services is good, speak good english n good mandarin. but breakfast was not good. reception smile was so warm welcoming to the guest. room was clean. restaurant cook food is good and staff are very honest. the karaoke pub drink list is expensive. pub manager martin is a good host during our stay but not the assistant jack, he is up to no good.
Shopping Tip:
Dc Shopping opposite hotel is a good shop and has good food around walking distance coffee shop. Chicken rice delicious all over Nagoya

Wrote to the hotel before booking need "non smoking room"
After check in realized that all hotel are smoking and when asked staff spray room fresheners(whole Hotel smell mixture of cigarettes smoke and strong room fresheners)
First night have to call the front desk at 12:00 am to change room as there was so much noise coming from downstair it was karaoke going on (take 3rd floor as 2nd floor can only sleep after 2AM only)
Every thing is available but have to ask for it even to get fresh towels and glass for water(Room service is good and food is nice)
Staff very friendly but have no Idea about places nearby to visit (every time you ask its seems they are not from Batam at all)

among other hotel that I stayed, this was probably among the worst. location is far, right in the middle of town rubble. just simply don't believe the location map. it is far from city center.
we asked for non smoking rooms, then we got rooms with no smoking table sign. but the dressing table + coffee table are full with cigarette burn marks. even the air conditioning had the cigarette smell and so did the bed sheets. not to mention, air-con is very noisy. everyone were smoking freely, inside the elevators, at hotel lobby, restaurants.
other guests were noisy. more like hourly rated hotel.
the only positive comment here is for the staff. They are friendly and helpful.
