Room was nicely decorated and clean, live bands at the lobby area
Room Carpet needs to change as it has uneven colour. Not sure if that is due to the age of it
Me and my gf stayed in the deluxe room of Mercure Hotel. Room was nicely decorated and clean. However, there are some uneven patches on the carpet. Not sure if that is because the carpet is old. There is also a live band at the lobby. People can also go up there to sing but during my stay there, a group of indonesians were hugging the stage and singing mostly indonesian songs which my gf and myself do not understand. Quite near to Ngoya Shoppin Mall. Cost 30000 rupiah if u book the taxi from the hotel.

1) Staffs were helpful and friendly
2) Clean Environment
3) Huge rooms
4) Good spread of breakfast
1) Toilet flush didn't work well
2) Aircon not cold enough
3) When we turned up the aircon, it dripped water
4) A bit far from the shopping areas
My partner and I reached Batam early in the morning. Surprisingly, the hotel let us checked in. We were given level 3 and we requested for a higher level. The receptionist gladly changed the room without hesitation.
The hotel room was very warm. We requested for the technician to fix the aircon. When the room is slightly cooler, the aircon dripped water.
The duty manager was very nice. Before we could even request to change the room, he was already making arrangements to check on the condition of another room in order for us to change over.
We had a wonderful stay at the hotel!

Very pleasant staff and drivers.
Nothing interesting within walking distance from the hotel.
We asked for the smoking room and it was rather smelly and small. So we changed it to a non smoking one which was a lot better. So, an advice would be to ask for non smoking room.
Restaurant Tip : Go to Nogaya where they are many pubs, cafes and restaurants.

Hotel room was clean and tidy. Bed linen changed every day and room cleaned. Great breakfast with good choice of food. Staff were helpful, pleasant and discreet.
Bedroom curtains didn't close all the way - need more overlap to keep out the early morning light. Minor maintenance needed in the room - one drawer front coming loose.
I recently spent 6 days there with my Indonesian wife. She was also pleased with the hotel and found the staff helpful and pleasant. The hotel isn't in the middle of "downtown" area, but it's only a 5 minute taxi ride or 15 minute walk - it's quieter that way! Good room, good stay, good food, nice people. Many thanks. I hope others enjoy their stay as much as we did. Good value for money.
Travel tip : Arrange for a car and driver to take you south of the main town and across a string of bridges that link about 4 or 5 islands. See the big Buddhist temple and visit the Vietnamese village. There are little beaches to discover after travel through farmland.

-Free wireless internet in the lobby and pool area. Very nice buffee breakfast compared to numerous other Indonesian hotels I've been. Spacious rooms. Fast 24/7 room service. Steam sauna/ traditional sauna and Jaguzzis were nice. Good selection of cable channels in room
Should have more hangers in the room as default
Restaurant Tip : There is a lovely tradional local indonesian restaurant called Saung Sunda Sawargi in a 5min taxi ride from the hotel. Locals took us there and we loved the food and it was extremely cheap as well

location is far from everywhere and taxi is very expensive in batam... in the end the savings is being offset by cost of taxi.
The hotel is clean and nice... but the location is far from everywhere and taxi in batam is very expensive.. the good thing is that there is circle K store that open 24hrs and the windows insulation is not that good as you can hear traffic from your room.
IF youa re on business.. it is a good deal as long as you have a transporation.

needs to be modernized, hotel looks worn down.
Friendly staff, comfortable nice sized rooms. You need a Taxi to get anywhere from this hotel, but the Hotel has friendly private drivers available to take you wherever you want to go for a reasonable price. The Spa is very nice and very reasonably priced; I highly recommend you try the spa when staying at this hotel.

Friendly staffs, great breakfast, not too far from Nagoya Hill
The Air Cond not too cool, the bathtub need to be repair, most of the food is spicy (I can't eat spicy food)
Most of all Mercure hotel is a good place to stay. Their staffs is very friendly and always available when we need them.
The gave us a special offer to up grade our room because we brought lots of stuffs from Singapore. They undertand the needs of each customers. Which is show us it's a very good appreciation for its customers.
Keep the good work^^
Shopping Tip : It's not that far from Nagoya Hill shopping center, by feet around 15 minutes. So many cheap things in here.

Friendly staff and reasonable room.
Carpeting in never a good idea in these hot humid countries.
I didnt spend a lot of time at the hotel but the staff was friendly and helpful. The lobby was clean and restaurant was good. It was a short trip into Nagoya so the location wasnt great but plenty of taxi's and drivers can accommodate you where ever you want to go. The room I had looked over some tin roof houses and the curtains didnt really keep out the sunlight very well in the morning but other than that it was just fine.
Nightlife Tip : Take a taxi into Nagoya. Its not far. 15 minute walk but walking paths end and you find your walking on a busy street. Plenty of walking to do around town.

It is located near Nagoya which has a lot of choices of food stalls, shops, and so on. The hotel facilities are nice for the 4 stars hotel. Room is comfortable and nice
The breakfast is poor. And the swimming pool are is quite hot. Also housekeeping need to improve their service
It is one of the good choice when you stay in Batam. The staffs are friendly. And also the price is reasonably.

Good & pleasant Service. Hotel Staffs were very cooperative. Rooms are better than expected. Really a good value of money we paid.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Beware of cheating by taxi drivers. Better get the deal done before you board a taxi. You may find very little to no taxi drivers know English.
