Simply Perfect

A nice hotel in good location

The hotel it self is a bit old, but they have renovated the lobby and the rooms as it looks like new and clean. Service in the front desk is a bit slow and room keys wasn't working properly during my stay, so i need to get another key coding from the front desk. Location of the hotel is perfect and not very far from the famous seafront seafood restaurant which is 15 mins walk. Overall my stay was great.

Huge and Tiring Hotel

A great hotel in term of size. Unfortunately our room was located in the back - far from the lobby. My wife had difficulty to get to the room. So if you want to stay at this hotel and you have a special need, better arrange it with the hotel in advance.
When we arrived at 16.50, our room was not ready. The check in time is at 14.00, mind you.
Breakfast menu was not bad.

We had a relax and pleasant at the hotel. It's near to Harbour Bay ferry terminal, about 15 mins walk. However, advisable to take a cab and the security there makes me bit worry. Shuttle bus is provided to Nagoya hill but just 2 or 3 time slots. You may take a cab as well if u missed the shuttle. Hotel is quite quiet. But we like the room. It's a big room for us. And most importantly the room is clean except the bath tub. Services are good as well. Overall is a nice hotel.

love the location. quite road, near nagoya hill, and great food just opposite the hotel. the swimming pool is quite small considering the number of hotel rooms. the room is convenient, tv has nice channel selections (cable n box office movies).

The Novotel Batam Hotel is situated 10 mins drive away from the Batam Harbour Bay Ferry Terminal. The Hotel is beautifully and tastefully constructed. The rooms are spacious although the facilities can be faulty. I bought the cheapest room available on Agoda with 2 of my friends (one planned to sleep on the floor), this is what I ended up with:
1. Was given a room with an old lady already staying inside. This double booking incident (first time in my life) allowed me to get a free upgrade to an executive room.
2. My safe was broken in the first executive room, changed room and I got free addition of third bed for my friend.
3. My safe was again broken in the second executive room, changed room and I got free breakfast for all 3 of us.
4. My safe was broken again in the third executive room, changed room and I got free WIFI and transport to Nagoya Hills.
This may sound like an awesome deal, but I got stuck for 2 hours. Its 50-50 for me if you ask me about my experience. Alot of hassle, but I got so many freebies !

Upon arrival, greeted by polite staffs. Checked into the room (deluxe king), it was clean, nice & spacious..very cosy hotel room. The only con for the hotel is there is no Wifi access in the room, only broadband Internet which cost 72,000 rupiah for 24 hrs usage, so it might be a good idea to bring a laptop along if one wish to access the web in the room..wifi access is only limit to the hotel main lobby upon purchase of the broadband Internet access. However, the location of the hotel is not within walking distance to the main malls nor fast food outlet. It cost 40,000 rupiah & 30,000 rupiah to take a cab to Nagoya shopping mall & BSC mall respectively.
