i enjoyed my stay and will definitely stay again. very little choice for vegetarian food. i suggest keeping in mind, vegetarian guests like me, restaurant should have atleast 3-4 veg choice. also breakfast was not part of the room, that i realised at the time of chk in. most of the hotels have complimentary breakfast.

Relatively cheap and clean.

stayed for one night in standard room. room not big but quite nice. there is a slight musky smell but didn't notice it after a while. hotel quite clean. quite near harbour bay.
Travel tip:
for travellers coming in by ferry, use the harbour bay ferry terminal. didn't know so went to batam centre. taxi over cost 50-60k Rp.

Great hotel with big and clean room

The hotel is low rise, room is big and clean with king size bed. Opposite is the sea, so has nice sea view. However not in the best location. Is off main town center. But still can walk to Nogoya Hill mall. Not many eating place nearby. Only one shop opposite open for breakfast. Hotel charge more for their own taxi. But you can always walk out and there will be many taxies apporach you.
But is great value for money.

the hotel is nice and clean, friendly staff and helpful. The facility is also nice, they have a gym, swimming pool, bar, japanese restaurant, coffee shop, big reception area, quiet. They have a BBQ night every weekend, the food is good and well served. The reception desk is quick and efficient, it looks professional.

Great Hotel and Clean Rooms

I have recently stayed there for a night with several other friends on a weekend retreat. Hotel staff are friendly and provide great service during our stay. Limousine services can be arranged at reasonable prices to send you other parts of Batam and pick you up from any locations by a call away. Spa at the hotel was reasonable. Praises for the bbq feast at the erestaurant which has abundance of fresh seafood and even steamboat selections. Will definitely stay at Novotel Batam again.
Shopping Tip:
Try shopping at nearby Nagoya Shopping Mall and right accross the road there are several spas that charges very reasonable for their treatments.
