No Taxi service, Location not brilliant.
Beds not brilliant Booked this Hotel as the Novotel was Full. The cheapest option also. Reception was clean and so was the room. I would just say this Hotel was non-descript with nothing to really put it down and nothing to Write home about. Had a meal on room service which was inexpensive and fairly good.
I did ask them to book a taxi for me for 5:15 on the Monday morning to allow me to get the Ferry back to Singapore, which they promptly did and even showed me the driver who was sitting outside reception. In the morning however he was nowhere to be seen and the receptionist, not the one the night before, knew nothing about a booking and asked the porter (who just looked like someone casually hanging about outside) to get me a taxi. All he did was stand in the street and try to flag one down- at 5:15 in the morning suffice to say there was hardly any cars going about and I only just made the ferry.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Find a Taxi driver (that is Talkative and friendly) and make sure you have his number and make arrangemnts with him, they are only too pleased to b your driver for the duration of your stay.

Value for money - good service The No Smoking area in restaurant needs to be enforced. There is plenty of room for smokers to go instead of blowing their stinking fumes all over non-smokers Again check-in and out was without fuss. The room was clean and tidy. Bathrooms are a little "tired" but clean. Linen and towels are changed daily. Room service is prompt. Lighting could be improved in the rooms, but really not an issue. Like many places in Indonesia, there is no discipline where people smoke. Meal-times are sometimes spoiled by smokers sitting in the non-smoking area. The hotel needs to be firm with these guests, but then that might mean losing face.
Shopping Tip : Try the BCS mall - not too far away and not as busy as Nagoya Hill.

Please improve the room services & room condition. Batam was a very beautiful island for travelling.
During my travelling, the swiss inn hotel have a very nice location. It closed to one of the shopping mall in batam. So we are able to buy some needs and easy for us.The location of hotel is good but it's need to improve the room condition and services. So that it could attract traveller in the furture.

Excellent value for money. Helpful staff. Lovely room. Good breakfast - even at 0300 am before fasting. Position of door stopper was bad - easy to trip and stub toes. This was our 4th stay at Mercure Batam. Check in was speedy and we scored a room upgrade because their double bed Superior rooms were booked out - so we had a much more spacious Deluxe room. Early morning breakfast before Ramadan fast gave good choice of tasty food. Staff were helpful and professional assisting in every way possible. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who requires a comfortable clean room at a very affordable price. It's not in the middle of shopping district, but it only takes a few minutes and few dollars in a taxi.
Nightlife Tip : Nightlife and shopping at Nagoya is only a few minutes away, but the hotel is in a quieter part of town.

Affordable price, Nagoya area, Jacuzzi (heated and cold pool), Sauna, Free wifi at lobby, restaurant food at affordable price, Spa, provide toothpaste and brush, in room safe Old, dim light, no hair dryer, quite far to walk to Nagoya hill The price is ok compare to other hotel in batam, but with this price can find much better hotel in Thailand. No difficulty when I show the Agoda hotel voucher to staff at counter, but request S$20 deposit. The swimming pool is shallow and old; the sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi (heated and cold small pool) are nice. Simple food at restaurant, e.g. mee goreng, fried rice cost abt 2x-3xK, drinks are expensive about 25k coffee, soft drink. My standard room is at level 3 facing a terrible look wooden house, the room furniture is old and the toilet bowl has a burn mark by cigarette, light is very dim that hard to find thing at night. Pizza hut is within walking distance at the left side of the hotel, but you need to walk about 3-5 min, the street is quite dark at night. Quite far from Nagoya hill mall, you could not see the building from hotel, not advisable to walk there at night but taxi fare is very expensive (5 min, 30k) compare from batam centre to hotel (abt 20min, 45k-50k). Spa full body treatment at 280k, package include scrub, oil massage, body mak and milk bath, the person massage me is quite experience but another girl massage my boyfriend is young and not experience, not really worth for him. Spa environment is nice and clean, you can choose to do at room also. Breakfast not many choices, but good service, omellette send to your table after cook. I hope Agoda can provide more selection of hotel in batam.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Isabella massage house beside nagoya hill mall (behind i hotel) provide free transportation from hotel and to ferry terminal, Bali massage 2 hour 140k.

The room is clean, comfort and nice to stay and rest. The breakfast of the hotel not so good.
The out look of the hotel and the out side view not so nice.
1. The receiptionsit fail to take action immediately to handle the unexpected problem happened. Hence, it cause the customer had to Q a long time to get the receiptionist's service. Although they are only needa simple service like check out.
3.The sky garden of the hotel is so poor and definitely need to renovate.
2. For the breakfast, only a few main course to choose(fried rice & fried Mee hun onli), others are mostly like the side dish such as, salad, fruit, drink, egg shows, nuggle, etc.
Shopping Tip : There is a famous shopping center near with the Mercure Batam Hotel, named Nagoya Hill. Take taxi only about 5 minute, but the taxi driver wait in front of the hotel will asking the fare of IDR30,000. That is too expensive I think, so passenggers are advice to bargin the taxi price.

Nice reception, nice service, nice location. Nearby Shopping Mall, GYM Pool inside, Taxi available at the entrance, etc., are all plus for this hotel. Sky Garden need improvement. Its really a nice hotel to stay with your family members.

Comfortable, clean, good food, good service This was my third stay at the Mercure Batam in as many months. The room was fresh and clean, the staff welcoming - felt like I was coming home. A small problem with the lights in the room was fixed immediately and the staff were helpful with other information about Batam. As usual, the breakfast buffet was tasty with a good choice of food. Even though the hotel is not in the centre of Nagoya or Batam Centre, there are adequate services nearby - ATMs, fast food outlets, 24 hour grocery store right next, all within a few hundred metres.
Travel tip : Try the local outdoor evening restaurants - very yummy food.

Breakfast choice was limited.
The shower tap is spoiled. The first impression when I stepped the hotel lobby, the ambience was nice although not receiving warm reception.
When I entered the room the air is smoky and was not purified at all.
We have to move out to another room as the shower tap was spoilt and they can't fixed them after an hr..It took up our time as we have our spa appointment which has to be re-scheduled to later time

Pleasant staff, good food, clean rooms. Good value for money Bathrooms looking a little tired. Curtains dont close completely This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. Both times the staff have been pleasant and helpful. The buffet breakfasts offer good variety of tasty food. The curtains dont close completely to keep out the early morning light. Some of the bathroom fittings were a little loose and stained with water, but clean over all. There is only a short taxi ride to Nagoya Hill shopping mall and cinemas. I would recommend a day trip with car and driver to head south and see some smaller islands connect to Batam by a chain of bridges.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Go for a walk around Costarina - a few minutes taxi ride from Batam Centre.

Room was nicely decorated and clean, live bands at the lobby area Room Carpet needs to change as it has uneven colour. Not sure if that is due to the age of it Me and my gf stayed in the deluxe room of Mercure Hotel. Room was nicely decorated and clean. However, there are some uneven patches on the carpet. Not sure if that is because the carpet is old. There is also a live band at the lobby. People can also go up there to sing but during my stay there, a group of indonesians were hugging the stage and singing mostly indonesian songs which my gf and myself do not understand. Quite near to Ngoya Shoppin Mall. Cost 30000 rupiah if u book the taxi from the hotel.
